DMC OC WEEK DAY 4

Cade Michael

Cade is from my 'Parts of a Whole' series which includes 'What Would You Give'.

His mother is Rowena, and he is Dante's son. Dante knew nothing about him until Roe comes back into his life after seven years of being away.

Cade has a great relationship with his father up until Dante decides to go to the Underworld with Vergil. When Cade is 21 he is given the deed to Devil May Cry and then is brought on as an apprentice to Nero until he can go out on his own. During the five years that Dante is away, Cade becomes angry and resentful towards his father. When Dante comes back, they have a fight, then all is forgiven.

Overall, Cade has a deep love for his family and is a bit overprotective when it comes to his mother and two younger sisters.

DMC OC Week 2023 Day 6: Family and Background

Man, I really need more art of this fucker, don't I? The image is relevant though, I swear.

Ah well, here's the next post for @dmc-oc-week-specialedition! Admittedly I probably focused more on his background in Day 3's prompt, so this is more about his family really, but it's fiiiiiine. Tomorrow's prompt will definitely make up for it though, so look forward to it!

When they were still alive, Avalon had a good relationship with his parents. They both cared for him and did their best when it came to raising him. While he didn’t tell them everything, there was no denying that he loved them and they loved him back. While there were some things he never told them, it was mostly due to his introverted nature and teenage anxieties. His deaths hit him extremely hard, especially since he witnessed his mothers death with his own eyes, and the fact that the truth behind their deaths (along with the rest of the casualties of the Red Grave attack) were kept hidden didn’t help matters. He never truly got over their deaths, with them driving his actions even decades later.

The only other family he really had afterwards was his grandparents, who took him in after the Red Grave attack. He never really found himself connecting to them, even before the incident. They weren’t terrible people, but he just wasn’t close to them like he was his parents. He kept up a good relationship with them though until they passed away from old age and made sure to keep in touch with them on a regular basis. Mostly to keep up the idea that nothing was going wrong and he was absolutely fine.

okay, so here we go

I missed DMC OC week last year, so I’m going to put myself out there (eek!) and hopefully participate this year! I have an OC that started out as a self-insert (as a great many OCs do), but recently, I’ve decided that she needed a bit of a revamp looks and personality-wise. She was telling me it was time for a change.

DMC OC Week day one: Introduction

(yes, I used a dollmaker. I can’t draw for shit)

Name: Hazel Moran, future Queen of the Seelie Court, ‘Flowers’ (nickname provided by Dante)

Age: 43 by DMC5, though she doesn’t look it

Height: 5”00/ 152.4 cm

Appearance

Hazel is SHORT. Rebellion is taller than her. In the human world her hair is long and red, but in the realm of Faerie, it becomes a tangled mane of green moss as her glamour falls away. Her eyes are large and she can see quite well in the dark. Petite and flexible, she can fold herself into really tight places, which is handy for hunting. She has winding vine tattoos on her arms and legs, which is a surprise tool that will help us later. She has semi-pointed ears that Certain People like to nibble on. She smells like fresh earth and apple blossoms, and her wide smile is both soothing and alarming. If you are her friend, then you get used to the smile. If you are her enemy, well…

Personality

Hazel is quite friendly to everyone she meets, though that is quick to change if there is something about a person she doesn’t like. Usually it’s a dark secret in their past, and she will allude to the secret while smiling that smile of hers. Apart from the creepiness, she has a quick wit and has a fondness for children. She is often mistaken for a child due to her height, which is infuriating. She sings and dances like no one is watching. There is an eerie grace when she does so, almost like she is floating. The longer she is away from Faerie, the more human she becomes in looks and behavior. An almost-human Hazel gains more freckles on her face and body, and she is more prone to showing fear and sorrow. She has a sexual appetite, usually reserving her pent-up energy for Dante.

What’s in her bag?

• a beaten-up notebook full of half-finished sketches of plants and whatever catches her eye.

•a bottle of river water that she swears came from the Underworld, but there’s no way to prove it.

• a pair of red bootlaces. She can’t remember which boots they came from, as she doesn’t really like wearing shoes.

•a bundle of lavender or chamomile, she’ll brew it into tea to help herself or someone else sleep.

•a small knife, for cutting herbs

• her weapon, the whip cut from the living branches of her tree-ancestor, Oonagh. This whip has been blessed with holy water and turns its’ enemies into chunks of petrified wood. (Was I inspired by Castlevania to give Hazel a whip? A little bit.)

• a coin pouch filled with coupons. She loves a bargain.

I’m sure there’s much more in her bag, but it’s a magic pouch and contains a pocket universe so who knows what else is in there.

Name: Fairuza (True name sealed away 2,000 years ago-Nivalis)

Age: 2,300+ years

Height: 184 cm (a touch over 6’0)

Weight: 68 kg (approximately 150 lbs)

Species: Dragonian demon

Fairuza belonged to a very small group of enigmatic beings called “Dragonians”. Back in those days she was better known as Nivalis the ethereal frost and one of Mundus’ terrible generals. After the dark knight, Sparda defeated the demon emperor, Nivalis was stripped of her name and sealed away by the last two remaining dragonians. Her crime was the destruction of most of her clan, including her father, Bellicus the Infernal might. When she was sealed away, most of her memories were sealed as well. She slumbered for a millennia before her tomb was moved elsewhere and subsequent awakening…

Fairuza utilizing the Bellicus devilarm gauntlets. A power she cannot use simultaneously with her innate primordial ice powers. This is but a fraction of Bellicus true primordial flame abilities. It can pose a threat to Fairuza if she is reckless. The utility of this devilarm is connected to her will. If there were a situation where her resolve were to falter…

Ace - The Scholar Nun, Unbound

(oh my god i caved in i made an oc for old man vergil FUCK) man if i get the chance i’m gonna make a comic series out of this!!

notes on her backstory!! still trying to think of how to incorporate her properly into the dmc universe hehe:

obsessed with the lore of Sparda!! Has spent years dedicating research as to why Sparda fought for humanity,,like why did this particular demon have more similarities with humans than other demons?? How did he have qualities such as compassion that is more commonly observed in humans?

her thirst for knowledge cannot be quenched WAHAHAHA was even endorsed by Fortuna City to continue her studies as a scholar but was quickly shunned and sent away after asking….controversial questions to her betters ..

Now with no academic and financial support to back her up, she struck a deal with a demon from hell named Nearal to do her bidding. The demon gives her knowledge about Sparda and his descendants but in return,,,she must give her something that is equal in value.

Nearal was a trickster, so he took one of her eyes: “Foolish girl!” he cackled with malicious glee, “now your mind knows much, but how tragic it is that you are going to be wandering in the dark.”

The demon scholar was planning on blinding her whole eyesight. Just as Nearal was about to pluck another eye out, he was stopped by a voice. A voice belonging to the alpha and the omega.

Long story short, Vergil saved her but she was still unconscious and was literally at the brink of death and insanity. He was planning on just mercy killing Ace but stopped because he heard her still breathing, albeit shallow. Intrigued by whatever power Nearal might have bestowed upon her, he heals her with a bit of his own blood (?? like dropped a bit of his blood on her skewed eye)

This revives Ace and further strengthened her knowledge about Sparda through physical contact of one of his descendant’s blood. She awakens and stares at Vergil for a long time,,confused,,,then punches him out of nowhere HAHAHAH

Okie dokie another long story short!! Vergil decided to keep her around because she provides valuable on-the-spot info about immediate enemies in the battlefield. Ace is like a walking-talking danger detector hahahaha which is an advantage!! “She could probably be of some use to my oaf of a brother…” he thought to himself while scowling at her.

i actually want to incorporate Ace in dmc5 by having her assist V HAHAHAHA. Like she travels alongside him cataloguing the apocalypse Urizen has brought,,,(also she is hell-bent in finding Vergil because she developed some feelings for her savior owes him a great debt.) (and maybe V starts to fancy her a little but,,,and when Vergil appears again,,, he’d see V’s memories and finally understand.)

DMC OC Week Day 3

Evan Redgrave

This OFC is my baby.

Evan is currently 23 but will be 24 in December. She also has her own Tumblr blog that is pure fanfiction. Everything on that blog is made up, but it seems people are having fun with it.

But really, Evan is Dante's one and only child from my series of fanfics called Pieces of Me.

But yeah, she has some trauma to deal with and I'll be posting the sequel to that pretty soon. I've been kinda reworking some things with it.

Anyway, back to Evan.

She wants nothing to do with fighting demons, and Dante is perfectly fine with that. Demons were responsible for her mother's tragic demise and the reason she was abandoned in the wilderness all alone for three months at eleven years old. You'll see that in the story.

However, this does not mean that Evan doesn't know how to fight. Dante did teach her how to fight, but it's mostly because he wanted her to be able to defend herself if she had to. She really just wants nothing to do with her father's way of life.

Her and Dante have a great relationship. She is his baby girl and he does everything he can for her, but admits he is not the best father since he never wanted children in the first place. Evan wasn't planned, but he took on that role anyway. Without giving anything away, yes, Dante knew about her before she was abandoned by her mother's family (it's complicated, but read the story).

Other than that, she is all about being as normal as possible. She is aware of what she is but is uncomfortable with the thought of turning into a demon.

Either way, Dante still loves her.

DMC OC Week 2023 Day 1: Introduction

Once again, it's time for @dmc-oc-week-specialedition! And unlike the previous years, I'm doing a different OC! What with having done Kay twice already, I figured it was time to introduce everyone to her antagonist. The bastard man himself, Avalon!

Name: Avalon Lambros Age: 53 (as of DMC5) D.O.B: January 14th Species: Human Height: 5’11”/180 cm Weight: 163 lbs.

Appearance: Avalon has long, straight, dark red hair with gray strands scattered throughout. His eyes are light blue. He has a scar going down his left eye. He has a small amount of facial hair. He wears a white suit with a black button-up shirt underneath, black gloves, and a gold ring on a cord around his neck.

Personality: Avalon is a disillusioned man, hardened by the experiences he’s been through. He keeps himself at a respectable distance from everyone around him, doing his best to keep unwanted attention away from him. He’s very perceptive though, and knows how to act around people to his own advantage. He can be manipulative when he wants to be.

Quick Facts/Abilities: What Avalon lacks in having powers, he makes up for with knowledge and intelligence. He’s done extensive research in the demonic world and how it works, and he knows more than most. He’s also studied magic, giving him an edge to help him deal with demonic threats that his weapons can’t. He’s not to be underestimated, by any means.
