No shit Diego and Lila weren’t happy in S4. They are two adrenaline junkies who grew up as soldiers. Ofc they won’t fulfill any of their physiological needs by being a stay at home mom and a mailman.

They would have been way happier had they had two more action filled jobs.

you know what i don't like the show the most for now that ive read the comics. none of that had to happen. like comic spoilers:

they save the world. viktor was the cause, they stopped him and then the dallas comics are about their lives after + jfk. like. the whole running from a doomed timeline and contently never being settled and when they do, shit goes wrong again.........did not need to happen. they could have just not written the moon blowing up and them all teleporting to dallas, that's when the show truly stops following the comics. and i think once they ran out of comics to vaguely theme seasons after, they gave up. the comic NEVER has an appending grander doom outside of the first comic arc and five's apocalypse, witch they stop. idk why the show feels the need to CONTINUOUSLY make them on the run. i feel like that's what ruined the show by the end, you cant have them just be happy in the show universe or settle down. or relax. they always need to be fucking something up, when in the comics its like "well the day was saved. now what?" and then more shit happens but its more basic superhero stuff. and that's the fun of the comics, the fact that the hotel is like hargreeves personal Arkham where he just threw villains in. the commission never truly goes away, they just stop bothering five. that five becomes a hired gun, gets his spy car and him and Allison team up to kill a rich asshole. diego and luther end up in space and the afterspace. like this show should have went weird and had more fun side plots but they just went "stop fucking shit up! now RUN!" instead.

I finally got myself to watch the final season of The Umbrella Academy. For the past month, I have been hearing the most awful and rude critics about it, so I was legit scare of it.

"It isn't bad," I told myself in the first four episodes, but then I watched episodes five and six, and that went completely downhill. I still don't think it deserves the kind of extreme hate it is receiving because a lot of comments had been incredibly awful; but yeah, it wasn't good.

I understand the "you should have never existed, and therefore your existence is creating havoc in the universe," but with the protagonists?? And no option to happy ending?? Completely disappointed.

No seriously I feel like I just watched a bad fanfic. I had heard the season wasn't good but damn didn't expect it to be that bad. Holy shit I haven't seen such a bad final season since game of thrones.

do you think five loved the camera a bit too much? he always looks so smug like hes so proud of himself. based on smth in the comics, i feel like he'd talk in schools and judge science fairs as a special guest. he'd like to he that glimpse of real kids in real school. also i feel like he was the most marketable one as "The Boy". he feels like he can do a verity of kids niches. like- Allison was the girl's girl Klaus feels like the teen heart throb / the rebellious one Luther would LOVE to be a guest at space camps and science museums. Diego probably did a lot of sports deals and spy toys. he felt like the one that really marketed the TUA toys. Ben went to charities and book fairs. probs traveled with five a lot. two umbrella academy kids in one.

well Five was the boy for boys, a rebellious mouthy know it all just like bart that probs also had a few admirers and used his intelligence to get in with the nerdy STEM kids market.

and this is probs why his ego is the size of a watermelon.

i love rewatching the umbrella academy because i notice new things every time. for example, Diego had quite the bad attitude episode one. he was really just trying to pick fights with people all the time. it’s strange, because he’s one of my favorite characters now and i guess he must have changed over the course of the seasons.

another thing i noticed: five and viktor had a really good relationship from the beginning. in episode 2 when it shows young five arguing with reginald about time travel, he kind of looks to viktor for what im assuming is guidance? of course, he doesn’t listen. but still. also, when he jumps forward and sees the post-apocalyptic world, the first name he calls is vanya, and he also tells viktor about the apocalypse before any of the other siblings
