Blot-Mates: Yuu & The Overblots [Part 4]

SEGMENT: JAMI
Summary: Jami is struggling with his innate programming of servitude, but he has no one to serve. Consequently, he is finding it difficult to relax and function properly. What would happen if Yuu decides to teach Jami how to live a life where he is no longer a servant but rather spoiled?
[Note: The Yuu Variant is Male with Enma Yuuken's Body Build, Yuuka Hirasaki's Fighting Skills, and Yuuta Mito's Cooking Skills.]
[Note: This Storyline will be written in Script Format.]
Parts: [Prologue] - [Ri] - [Leo] - [Azu] - [Jami] (Here) - [Vi] - [Idi] - [Mal] - [All] - [Epilogue]
[Coal-colored eyes were fixed on the ceiling while serpents made of dark locks of hair hissed in irritation or struck at each other, showing their displeasure. Jami placed his hand on his forehead and ran his inked hand through his bangs before sitting up from his bed and perching on the ledge with his head hanging. He lifted his head and looked at the digital clock on the wall of his room: it was 6:45 in the morning. This was usually the time The Prefect would get up to make breakfast for the Overblots. The thought of the Prefect making breakfast for all of them, just as he and his Original Body would make breakfast for Scarabia Dorm and Kalim, was overwhelming. Jami wasn't sure how to cope with it..]
Jami (Hearing something coming downstairs): Prefect... (Stands up and leaves his room)
[Jami walked down the hall and down the stairs as silently as he could to make sure he didn't give away his location. He crept to the opening of the kitchen and hid around the corner while listening to Yuu speak to himself.]
Yuu (On the phone with Sam): Hey, Sam. I know you're getting the shop ready, but do you have cookbooks or teas from the Land of Scalding Sands?
Jami (Thinking): 'The Land of Scalding Sands? Surely, he is not thinking about...'
Yuu (On the phone): Did Ace and Deuce tell you about what happened in Potion's class? Yeah, The Overblots got separated front their original bodies and I offered them to stay at Ramshackle; I wasn't going to make them uncomfortable with dealing with their hosts in their dorms.
Jami (Thinking): 'He cares for our comfort? After we attempted to kill him? (Looks at the ground in shame) After I used him for my personal vendetta?'
Yuu (On the phone): I noticed that Jami seems uneasy and I want to do something to make him more at ease here. I thought of making him some food and tea from the Land of Scalding Sands, as he's not much of a coffee drinker. Also, I noticed a Mancala Board and I'm interested in buying it. Can you tell me how much it is? (Sam Talking) Great, I'll also take the Cookbook, Tea Canister Bundle, and Silk Bundle. I think I can make Jami some new robes with the silk. When can I pick up the items? (Sam Talking) Yes, I'm willing to do all of that for Jami, just like I would for the others. He deserves just as much as the others do. Can I come get the items now? (Sam Talking) Perfect, I'm on my way. (Hangs up phone)
[Jami silently moved away from the kitchen opening and around another corner just as Yuu left the kitchen, grabbed his wallet off the table, and walked out of the first door. Jami looked around the corner and stared at the door for a while before the same question began to haunt his mind.]
Jami: Prefect... Why are you willing to do so much for me...after everything I have done to you? All the pain I caused you? Why are you doing so much for me - A Servant?
[The front door of Ramshackle opened, and Yuu walked in with his arms filled with stuff; he walked over to the sofa and placed everything down before reaching into a bag and pulling out the Cookbook from the Land of Scalding Sands before he walked around the corner, only to see Jami sitting at the table with his hair snakes constantly hissing.]
Yuu: Jami?
Jami:...
Yuu (Placing the book on the table as he walked over to Jami): Jami, are you okay? I've never seen you up so early.
Jami: I had a hard time sleeping - the snakes are very...aggravated at the moment and their hissing is making it hard to sleep.
Yuu (Looks at the hair snakes with a thinking expression on his face before snapping his fingers with a knowing smile on his face): I know - They are dry.
Jami (Raises an eyebrow at Yuu): Dry?
Yuu: When was the last time you oiled your hair since coming here?
Jami: I... I hadn't.
Yuu: Give me a moment. (Walks over to the bags on the sofa, reaches into one, and pulls out a bottle of Hair Oil that came from the Land of Scalding Sands - Sam gave it to him for free) Found it. (Walks back over to Jami) I'll give you a hand.
[Yuu whistles, gaining the hair snakes' attention as he pours some hair oil into his hand and holds his hand out to the snakes, showing them what is in his hand. Once the first snake came close enough, he rubbed his hands together and rubbed the oil on the hair snake, making it hiss in pleasure. Yuu continues this process with all the hair snakes until he reached the top of Jami's Head and massaged the hair oil into Jami's dry scalp, making the Overblot hiss in pleasure.]
Jami: This... This feels nice...
Yuu (Smiles): I'm glad you like it, Jami. I'll make you some tea after this.
Jami: I have been meaning to ask you about that, Prefect: Why are you doing so much for me after everything I have done to you? Used you for a personal vendetta I had against Kalim? Why do all of this for me, a mere servant?
Yuu: You are not a servant here, Jami. Ramshackle Dorm has no servants and I will not allow you to speak about yourself in such a matter.
Jami: But... My entire life, I have served...
Yuu: And that was a crime done to you. It's no wonder you and Jamil overblotted; who would want to live like that? Forced to hold themselves back for the betterment of someone who doesn't deserve their staion?
Jami: You don't think Kalim deserves to be Housewarden of Scarabia?
Yuu: In all honesty: No, he doesn't. Listen, I have nothings agsint Kalim personally, but he is too immature to hold the position of power he does; constantly throwing parties at the slightest whim and leaving the aftereffect up to you and the other members of Scarabia; it's pitiful, really. The only reason he is in his position of power is because he was from the Asim Family. You are clearly a better choice of Housewarden, considering all the work you do.
Jami: You... You really think so?
Yuu: Of course, you are. Jami, you are skilled in both magic and cooking, your memory is sharper than a blade, you are skilled in multiple languages...
[4 Minutes Later]
Yuu (Making cups of tea and breakfast for Jami from the cookbook): You are able to craft an antidote from plants within a matter of mintues before the poison can actually kill someone, and don't even get me started on your Mancala Tips...
[5 Minutes Later]
Yuu (Placing the food in front of Jami with the tea): All and All, you are a amazing person, Jami.
Jami (Staring at Yuu): Prefect... You just spent 9 minutes praising me...
Yuu: Of course I did. I would say more but we would be here all day and I have to make breakfast for the others. Jami, you deserve every bit of praise I can give you and I shall give you as much as you wish. (Pets the top of Jami's Head) You are brilliant and loved, Jami. (Goes into the kitchen)
Jami:...
[Later that day]
Leo (Pounding on Jami's Door): OI, SERPENT! GIVE ME BACK MY LITTLE BROTHER! WE'RE GOING TO PLAY CHESS!!
Ri: No, Rose and I are going to tend to the Roses!
Azu (Shouting downstairs since his pot can't go upstairs): PEARL AND I ARE GOING SWIMMING!
[Inside The Room]
Jami (Moving his stones on the Mancala Board): Your turn, Little Flower.
Yuu (Thinking of his move while Jami's Hair Snakes are wrapped around his waist - preventing him from leaving): Jami, when can I leave? I need to make lunch.
Jami: They can order-in.
Yuu: But...
Jami: You are not leaving me until you beat me in Mancala, Desert Flower. Listen to your brother.
Yuu: Jami, you've beaten me over 20 times. I'm not gonna beat you anytime soon.
Jami: Then, you won't be leaving anytime soon.
Yuu: Okay. (Makes a move on the Mancala Board)
[END - TO BE CONTINUED]

Your post with the bratty tiktok girl triggered me so much it made me reinstall it. I try to not use it since I end up checking my sister’s account. I can’t stop thinking about it.
Dude, you need to chill and get a grip. That’s your *sister*—have some standards and—

*giggles like a deranged psycho Barbie, tossing my rose gold ponytail with a viciously cute flick that screams pure venom* Lew, shut your dumbass trap, kay? I’m handling this, and you’re, like, so not needed with your boring yap—zip it, fucktard! gigglesnorts, eyes glinting with pure chaos
Now, CookiesHQ, babes, you’re out here whimpering that our post triggered you into reinstalling TikTok? Boo-fucking-hoo, you’re *obsessed*, and I’m living for how utterly broken you already are! *claps hands like I’m orchestrating your downfall* That app’s got you chained to its algorithm, and I’m not just encouraging you—I’m *demanding* you dive deeper into that gooner abyss! Get *worse*, you sad little simp—scroll ‘til your fingers cramp and your brain’s mush, like *every* vid ‘til your thumbs bleed, comment like the desperate loser you are, and tip—oh my gawd—*tip* until your bank account’s screaming for mercy! *giggles wickedly, twirling a lock of hair like it’s your dignity I’m strangling* Who cares if TikTok skims 50%? Hot girls like us deserve *all* the cash, and you? You’re just a walking wallet meant to empty itself for our vibes! *licks my lips with a guttural, psycho hum*
E-girls and influencers? Babes, they’re all brats by *birthright*—spoiled, untouchable, and thriving on your weakness! Calling an influencer a brat is like calling a dog a canine, it’s the same freakin’ thing dumbass!! Which means I don’t even know which post has you spiraling, maybe the car key one? But really, I don’t need to know which one it is—it’s all goon fuel designed to make you worse, all the time, rotting your brain! *giggles morph into a jagged, feral snarl as pets her badger* So, lean into it, you spineless creep—be the *worst* version of yourself! And your sister’s account? Oh, babes, let’s make this *vile*. Goon to her vids ‘til they’re burned into your skull—every dance, every hair flip, every smirk warping your brain ‘til she’s the face of every TikTok influencer you see! *gigglesnorts like a demon* Stroke yourself raw to her lip-syncs, picturing her in every e-girl’s outfit—fishnets, crop tops, that bratty pout—until your mind’s a cesspool of shame and obsession. Let it fester ‘til family gatherings are torture—you can’t meet her eyes, your face burning as you stammer and sweat, haunted by every mental image you’ve jerked to! *winks, grinning like a maniac* Your parents? Theyll be *disgusted*—catching you sneaking glances at her, your phone glowing with her vids, whispering, “What’s wrong with him?” as they gag on their coffee. Your mom’ll cry and call you a freak, you’re dad will totally hit you before disowning you, and you’ll just shrink, knowing they’re right but too far gone to stop!
Your sister, though? Oh, she’ll *hate* you too—but she’s no dummy. She’ll clock your creepy vibe and use it, milking you like the pathetic cash cow you are! *giggles like I’m scripting her victory* She’ll post more, knowing you’re watching—teasing, “Aww, big bro, you’re my #1 fan, right?” while you’re wiring her hundreds for “new outfits.” You’ll DM her, simping hard—offering to be her “bestie,” her “hype man,” sending cash just to see her roll her eyes and cash it out! *licks my lips, eyes gleaming* She’ll spend your money on designer bags, laughing with her friends about her gross brother who’s basically her ATM. At Christmas, she’ll demand your credit card for “content creator expenses,” and you’ll hand it over, trembling, unable to say no while she smirks, knowing she’s got you wrapped around her manicured finger!
By the end, you’ll be a husk—bankrupt, shunned, obsessed. Your parents won’t invite you to Thanksgiving, whispering about “that sicko” they used to call son. Your sister? She’ll block you on TikTok but keep your Venmo on speed-dial, draining you ‘til you’re eating ramen in a basement, jerking to her old vids you saved before she went private. *giggles like I’m carving your tombstone* That’s the life you’re choosing if you follow my advice, Cookies—and you *will*, ‘cause you’re too weak to resist! So, goon harder, simp louder, tip ‘til you’re homeless—make me proud, you disgusting little fucktard, or I’ll make you wish you’d never sent us that ask! PROMISE! *giggles like I’m plotting your funeral* 🤭💕

As digital scamming explodes in Southeast Asia, including so called “pig butchering” investment scams, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) issued a comprehensive report this week with a dire warning about the rapid growth of this criminal ecosystem. Many digital scams have traditionally relied on social engineering, or tricking victims into giving away their money willingly, rather than leaning on malware or other highly technical methods. But researchers have increasingly sounded the alarm that scammers are incorporating generative AI content and deepfakes to expand the scale and effectiveness of their operations. And the UN report offers the clearest evidence yet that these high tech tools are turning an already urgent situation into a crisis.
In addition to buying written scripts to use with potential victims or relying on templates for malicious websites, attackers have increasingly been leaning on generative AI platforms to create communication content in multiple languages and deepfake generators that can create photos or even video of nonexistent people to show victims and enhance verisimilitude. Scammers have also been expanding their use of tools that can drain a victim’s cryptocurrency wallets, have been manipulating transaction records to trick targets into sending cryptocurrency to the wrong places, and are compromising smart contracts to steal cryptocurrency. And in some cases, they’ve been purchasing Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet systems to help power their efforts.
“Agile criminal networks are integrating these new technologies faster than anticipated, driven by new online marketplaces and service providers which have supercharged the illicit service economy,” John Wojcik, a UNODC regional analyst, tells WIRED. “These developments have not only expanded the scope and efficiency of cyber-enabled fraud and cybercrime, but they have also lowered the barriers to entry for criminal networks that previously lacked the technical skills to exploit more sophisticated and profitable methods.”
For years, China-linked criminals have trafficked people into gigantic compounds in Southeast Asia, where they are often forced to run scams, held against their will, and beaten if they refuse instructions. Around 200,000 people, from at least 60 countries, have been trafficked to compounds largely in Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos over the last five years. However, as WIRED reporting has shown, these operations are spreading globally—with scamming infrastructure emerging in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and West Africa.
Most prominently, these organized crime operations have run pig butchering scams, where they build intimate relationships with victims before introducing an “investment opportunity” and asking for money. Criminal organizations may have conned people out of around $75 billion through pig butchering scams. Aside from pig butchering, according to the UN report, criminals across Southeast Asia are also running job scams, law enforcement impersonation, asset recovery scams, virtual kidnappings, sextortion, loan scams, business email compromise, and other illicit schemes. Criminal networks in the region earned up to $37 billion last year, UN officials estimate. Perhaps unsurprisingly, all of this revenue is allowing scammers to expand their operations and diversify, incorporating new infrastructure and technology into their systems in the hope of making them more efficient and brutally effective.
For example, scammers are often constrained by their language skills and ability to keep up conversations with potentially hundreds of victims at a time in numerous languages and dialects. However, generative AI developments within the last two years—including the launch of writing tools such as ChatGPT—are making it easier for criminals to break down language barriers and create the content needed for scamming.
The UN’s report says AI can be used for automating phishing attacks that ensnare victims, the creation of fake identities and online profiles, and the crafting of personalized scripts to trick victims while messaging them in different languages. “These developments have not only expanded the scope and efficiency of cyber-enabled fraud and cybercrime, but they have also lowered the barriers to entry for criminal networks that previously lacked the technical skills to exploit sophisticated and profitable methods,” the report says.
Stephanie Baroud, a criminal intelligence analyst in Interpol’s human trafficking unit, says the impact of AI needs to be considered as part of a pig butchering scammer’s tactics going forward. Baroud, who spoke with WIRED in an interview before the publication of the UN report, says the criminal’s recruitment ads that lure people into being trafficked to scamming compounds used to be “very generic” and full of grammatical errors. However, AI is now making them appear more polished and compelling, Baroud says. “It is really making it easier to create a very realistic job offer,” she says. “Unfortunately, this will make it much more difficult to identify which is the real and which is the fake ads.”
Perhaps the biggest AI paradigm shift in such digital attacks comes from deepfakes. Scammers are increasingly using machine-learning systems to allow for real-time face-swapping. This technology, which has also been used by romance scammers in West Africa, allows criminals to change their appearance on calls with their victims, making them realistically appear to be a different person. The technology is allowing “one-click” face swaps and high-resolution video feeds, the UN’s report states. Such services are a game changer for scammers, because they allow attackers to “prove” to victims in photos or real-time video calls that they are who they claim to be.
Using these setups, however, can require stable internet connections, which can be harder to maintain within some regions where pig butchering compounds and other scamming have flourished. There has been a “notable” increase in cops seizing Starlink satellite dishes in recent months in Southeast Asia, the UN says—80 units were seized between April and June this year. In one such operation carried out in June, Thai police confiscated 58 Starlink devices. In another instance, law enforcement seized 10 Starlink devices and 4,998 preregistered SIM cards while criminals were in the process of moving their operations from Myanmar to Laos. Starlink did not immediately respond to WIRED’s request for comment.
“Obviously using real people has been working for them very well, but using the tech could be cheaper after they have the required computers” and connectivity, says Troy Gochenour, a volunteer with the Global Anti-Scam Organization (GASO), a US-based nonprofit that fights human-trafficking and cybercrime operations in Southeast Asia.
Gochenour’s research involves tracking trends on Chinese-language Telegram channels related to carrying out pig butchering scams. And he says that it is increasingly common to see people applying to be AI models for scam content.
In addition to AI services, attackers have increasingly leaned on other technical solutions as well. One tool that has been increasingly common in digital scamming is so-called “crypto drainers,” a type of malware that has particularly been deployed against victims in Southeast Asia. Drainers can be more or less technically sophisticated, but their common goal is to “drain” funds from a target’s cryptocurrency wallets and redirect the currency to wallets controlled by attackers. Rather than stealing the credentials to access the target wallet directly, drainers are typically designed to look like a legitimate service—either by impersonating an actual platform or creating a plausible brand. Once a victim has been tricked into connecting their wallet to the drainer, they are then manipulated into approving one or a few transactions that grant attackers unintended access to all the funds in the wallet.
Drainers can be used in many contexts and with many fronts. They can be a component of pig butchering investment scams, or promoted to potential victims through compromised social media accounts, phishing campaigns, and malvertizing. Researchers from the firm ScamSniffer, for example, published findings in December about sponsored social media and search engine ads linked to malicious websites that contained a cryptocurrency drainer. The campaign, which ran from March to December 2023 reportedly stole about $59 million from more than 63,000 victims around the world.
Far from the low-tech days of doing everything through social engineering by building a rapport with potential victims and crafting tricky emails and text messages, today’s scammers are taking a hybrid approach to make their operations as efficient and lucrative as possible, UN researchers say. And even if they aren’t developing sophisticated malware themselves in most cases, scammers are increasingly in the market to use these malicious tools, prompting malware authors to adapt or create hacking tools for scams like pig butchering.
Researchers say that scammers have been seen using infostealers and even remote access trojans that essentially create a backdoor in a victim’s system that can be utilized in other types of attacks. And scammers are also expanding their use of malicious smart contracts that appear to programmatically establish a certain agreed-upon transaction or set of transactions, but actually does much more. “Infostealer logs and underground data markets have also been critical to ongoing market expansion, with access to unprecedented amounts of sensitive data serving as a major catalyst,” Wojcik, from the UNODC, says.
The changing tactics are significant as global law enforcement scrambles to deter digital scamming. But they are just one piece of the larger picture, which is increasingly urgent and bleak for forced laborers and victims of these crimes.
“It is now increasingly clear that a potentially irreversible displacement and spillover has taken place in which organized crime are able to pick, choose, and move value and jurisdictions as needed, with the resulting situation rapidly outpacing the capacity of governments to contain it,” UN officials wrote in the report. “Failure to address this ecosystem will have consequences for Southeast Asia and other regions.”

💭🎂Uh oh. Uhhh I forgot what I asked 😭.🎂💭
Thy first question was about V X reader: does V know if The reader was the human she could see?
Second question about V x reader: is the reader infected with the Absolute solver, or is Cyn doing a small bit of trolling and making the reader experience
DIGITAL HALLUCINATIONS!
for the best boy N: is J just being a wing woman for reader by giving them gifts for N? Or is there something bigger at play there?
I didn’t add this in my last questions whoops,
Another one for N x Reader: will the reader get turned into a drone? Or will they die off before the plot of murder drones happen? Or will Murder drones even happen???
Yet another one for N x reader: is N a yandere, or just protective of us? Because if seems like he’s just being sweet and everything, but then he does add a tracking device to our wallet.
Uhhh for Pomni X reader: what episode did we join in on? Or are you just going off script on that one and make a five course meal?
For J x reader: will that ever get updated again? Or are you waiting to finish N and V’s story’s first?
🎂Thank you for feeding us with your delicious and amazing writing, it truly amazes me and I find myself looking forward to your next update day by day!🎂
All will be revealed in the next few chapters ehe
Don't wanna spoil anything, but I will say it's leaning towards the second option
J certainly knows more than she's letting on, but as always, that's above their paygrade
This'll be a corporate AU so things won't end up like they do in Murder Drones!
N is just doing his best to look out for us! Even if that means always knowing where we are so he can make sure we're safe :3
Honestly haven't quite decided yet, will likely become it's own thing especially since the show isn't finished yet.
It's currently on the backburner, my motivation for that one kinda died because I don't feel confident writing J's character atm, but that might change!

Multi-Factor, Layered, Cryptographic System
A few big flaws with crypto are; how large and unwieldy the ledger can get, the centralization of decentralized systems, congestion at the base cryptographic layer, potential loss of a wallet, automation errors, a complete lack of oversight.
Cryptographic Systems are designed to be decentralized, trustless, transactional, and secure.
The problem with this; is as the Crypto environment grew; the need to bypass some of those features became a requirement.
Decentralization gave way to crypto stores and Wallet Vaults, as well as the potential for complete loss of value (despite it being an online thing), and introducing waste to the ledger through these lost "Resources".
Trustless gave way to legal restrictions and disputes, and the formerly decentralized environment was tethered to the world economy.
Transactional gave way to inflation when It became a valued asset that was used for more than secure transactions.
And... Block chain technology has proven to be very insecure and exploitable. With several Bitcoin "Branches" being made after large thefts or errors had occured.
The Automation and Scripting layer of crypto also has potential for "Unchecked Run times" and wasted Network Cycles and Waste of Electric Power.
Needless to say; Crypto no longer serves its original purpose.
Despite all this; Crypto still has great potential. And our Future Internet designs should include protocols specifically to support it.
Separately from other internet traffic, but still, alongside it.
So what can we do with the tech to make it more usable..?
Well, first things first; Crypto has large waste of Power and Internet Bandwidth that needs to be addressed. And I would *suggest* a temporary ban of "Unaccountable Automated Wide-Area Systems".
Automated Wide-Area Systems can be installed on multiple computers over the internet, and because they are "trustless" are often overlooked when they waste resources.
Because of the need for Accountability of these systems on our networks; there are still opportunities for the companies which manage them. However, I disagree with the current idea of oligarchic accountability termed "Proof of Stake". (It will be clear what my suggestion for this will be by the end of the article.)
Because there's a need for these systems to be transactional; we should be wary of how "Automated Transactions" are designed. As large amounts of assets can accidentally trade hands over the span of nanoseconds.
And we still want them to be Decentralized and Secure.
The Ethereum model creates extra cryptographic layers to cover some of the weaknesses in BitCoin, and this actually allows for an illuminated solution to our "Dark Pools" in the finance sector.
And the need to reduce waste on our Electric and Network Infrastructure (especially in the case of climate change) necessitates that we know where every digital asset on such a system is accounted for.
It also means we need a method of "Historical Ledger" disposal; so that we both have long-term records AND reduce the resources required to run a cryptographic system.
Which means we'll need "Data Banks" and "Wallet Custodians". So that nothing is ever lost; while retaining the anonymity the internet provides.
Legal Restrictions here on keeping the privacy of Wallet Owners is very important. We can also *itemize* large wallets, to provide further security and privacy.
These systems can *also* be used to track firearm purchases anonymously. Which will give the tools our ATF needs to track sales, as well as provide the privacy and security that are constantly lobbied by Firearm owners.
I think that covers the *generalized* and *broad* requirements of wide-scale implementation. I figure that Crypto-Enthusiasts may have some input on the matter.

BonkCash Presale: Innovative Digital Token Launched on the Solana Blockchain
Introduction
Basically, the cryptocurrency landscape calls for serious investments which is usually the talk of the town. However, a cryptocurrency platform, BonkCash ($BONKC), emerges with a twist, a breath of fresh air and a playful, experimental venture that changes the script on traditional notions of value and utility. Deployed on the Solana blockchain, BonkCash invites users to engage with a digital token that eschews the weighty expectations typically associated with cryptocurrencies. Instead, it offers a fanciful journey through the realm of financial entertainment, embracing the idea that sometimes, the best experiences are those that prioritize fun over financial return.
Imagine the $BONKC token as a vibrant dance floor, alive with the dynamic movements of market forces. The symbolic 'R' in BonkCash's movement represents a lively dance, where price fluctuations create a rhythm that is both exciting and unpredictable. This isn't just another token; it's a unique ride decorated with disco lights, capturing the essence of joy and freedom. BonkCash is designed for those who want to immerse themselves in the experimental side of the crypto world, letting go of the stress of traditional investments and simply enjoying the ride.
BonkCash recognizes that many investors crave an experience that go beyond financial gain. The project stands firmly on the principle that $BONKC holds no essential value, utility, or promise of financial returns. Instead, it is an exploration of the intersection between digital currency and entertainment, aiming to create a community that appreciates the sheer delight of participating in something different. As BonkCash embarks on this space dance, it invites users to join in on the fun, reminding us that sometimes the journey is more important than the destination.
BonkCash, symbolized as $BONKC, is an innovative digital token launched on the Solana blockchain. Designed purely for entertainment and experimental purposes, $BONKC does not hold any intrinsic value or promise of financial returns. Unlike traditional cryptocurrencies, BonkCash has no dedicated roadmap or promise of utility, making it a unique addition to the landscape of digital assets.
BonkCash Presale: An Experimental Journey on the Solana Blockchain
The Presale Opportunity: As part of its introduction to the market, BonkCash is hosting a presale that allows early investors to acquire $BONKC at a special rate: 1 SOL for 1,000,000 $BONKC tokens. This presale is an exciting opportunity for participants to secure their stake in the token before its official launch. With a straightforward entry point—0% selling tax and no fees—the presale aims to promote accessibility and encourage participation from a wide audience. Investors can dive into this venture without the worry of hidden costs, making it easier to engage with the token and its community.
Airdrop Mechanism: Central to the appeal of $BONKC is its unique airdrop mechanism designed to foster community involvement. Unlike many other tokens, which often rely on complex strategies for growth, BonkCash aims to create excitement through periodic airdrop events. Token holders can earn rewards by engaging with the community—simply by following social media channels, tweeting about the project, and showcasing their support.
The airdrop process is automated, with a Telegram bot facilitating the distribution of tokens. For every point earned through community activities, participants can convert their points into $BONKC tokens, creating an engaging and interactive experience. The community plays a significant role in determining the conversion ratio after the token is officially listed, emphasizing collective involvement in the growth of $BONKC.
To further bolster this community-centric approach, 5% of the total token supply is allocated for the “airdrop bomb,” designed to reward the top 50,000 active Solana wallets. This strategic distribution ensures that the most engaged users are recognized, while also enhancing the BonkCash brand within the crypto ecosystem.
The R-Trajectory: A Funky Price Movement: BonkCash aims to distinguish itself from other meme tokens by introducing what it calls the "R" trajectory, a playful metaphor for the token's price movement. Instead of the typical downward trends often associated with memecoins, BonkCash aims for an upward trajectory, likened to a dance floor where price dynamics groove to the rhythm of the market. This unique concept positions $BONKC as a light-hearted and enjoyable investment option - inviting participants to experience the thrill of a special ride in the crypto space.
Community and Engagement: The BonkCash ecosystem places a strong emphasis on community involvement. By leveraging social media engagement, the project encourages participants to contribute actively, creating a vibrant atmosphere of shared excitement. The presale not only provides a financial opportunity but also fosters a sense of belonging among participants, turning investors into community members who collectively navigate the ups and downs of the token's journey.

Trying to calculate capital gains on crypto, mostly out of curiosity. (I recently sold some, but not enough to need to report.)
I would have hoped it would be mostly easy. I've been tracking my assets with ledger. So for approximately every fraction of a bitcoin I own, I can see
This is the day I bought it
This is how much I paid
And this is the fees I paid
E.g. "bought 0.00724641 BTC on 2018-05-07, I paid £51.99 of which £1.99 is fees".
There are some exceptions: I have some that I got from mining or from the bitcoin faucet way back when, stored in a wallet on my computer that I couldn't figure out how to access again; I got someone else to do it for me in exchange for about half of what was in there. In my ledger this is just recorded as a 0.03 BTC input that I got given for free. And there's an in-progress bet that involved someone sending me $100 of BTC.
(Other coins are more complicated: I once bought BCH, converted it to BNB, converted that to SOL, moved the SOL to a different place, staked the SOL, moved it back, staked it again and eventually sold, and there's fees involved in lots of these steps.)
But ignoring this I'd hope it would be simple enough? But not really.
I think partly this is because calculating capital gains isn't an objective one-right-answer calculation. If I buy 1 BTC, then buy 3 BTC, then sell 2 BTC, then sell 2 BTC, it matters which order I sell them in.
Okay, but I think FIFO is pretty standard? But I don't think there's a way to specify that I'm doing that or any other approach that could be automated. I just need to manually say "okay, the BTC that I sold here are the same BTC that I bought here", and the way to do that is to specify the date and unit price when I bought them.
Which, I get having this written out explicitly in the file, that seems reasonable, but I'd hope for some way to auto-generate the posting, and I don't see one.
...also I've been letting the unit price be implicit, instead specifying the lot price. Which means the unit price has 16 decimal digits, which aren't written in the file, and which I need to copy exactly when I'm selling or the lots won't quite match up. (Which is mostly fine, but when I want to print lots explicitly it means it doesn't show as "I bought BTC valued at X and then sold them" but as "I bought BTC valued at X and on the same day went into debt for the same quantity of unrelated BTC valued at X±ε".) And sometimes exact isn't enough due to rounding errors.
So I'm converting lot prices to unit prices, which there ought to be a way to do that automatically too but afaict there isn't. (Unless I want to do some python scripting, which might be fun I guess but also might be super frustrating depending how good the API is.)
I've looked idly at hledger as well but from what I can tell it's no better at this. I don't think I've looked closely enough at beancount to know, that might be worth looking into. But I have over 7 years of financial data in ledger and it would probably be annoying to convert it all - just crypto would be fine I guess, but then I'm using two different CLI accounting tools.

The Sounds of Success: Decoding the Money Anthem Trend in Music
Lately, I've noticed my playlist is echoing a certain vibe! There's a wave of tracks where female artists aren't just hitting the high notes—they're also celebrating high earnings and the luxe life. But why is the love of lucre such a hit theme, especially among women in my playlist? That is really the million dollar question.
Market Trends
If it's streaming, it's steaming hot! Music moguls know what we like and they're serving up a decadent diet of dollar-sign ditties. It's simple: we stream, they supply.m, and apparently I’m all stocked up with it too.
Algorithmic Echoes
Our digital DJs (a.k.a. algorithms) love a good repeat. Liked one money mantra? Get ready for a playlist packed with prosperity, and the luxurious life feels fancy! Yass! Basically, algorithmic echoes resonate powerfully, emitting a frequency of vibes that reverberate within individuals.
Pattern Play
Our brains love to connect the dots. Notice a few cash-centric choruses and suddenly it's like every track is all about that bank. This s Pattern Play. And oh, honey, our brains are basically dot-connecting wizards in a world of cash-themed spells. Spot a couple of those dollar-dropping lyrics and bam! It's like every tune on the charts is competing to be the soundtrack of Wall Street. We're not just hearing the music; we're swimming in a sea of bling-bling beats? Love it though!
Cultural Mirror
Songs reflect our world and right now, that world is pretty cash-obsessed. Female artists are flipping the script on wealth, wielding their wealth anthems as tools of empowerment. Our brains are rockstar conjurers in the glitzy realm of moolah-magic. We catch one or two of those cha-ching choruses, and whoosh – it's as if every hit out there is hustling to be the anthem of the almighty dollar. And let's be real, it's not just floating through the airwaves; it's pulsating through us! We're not merely listeners; we're the living, breathing VIPs of this cash-crazy club, drowning in waves of those bling-bling rhythms!
Artist Autonomy
Musicians are the maestros of their own message. Singing about success and stacks might be personal, political, or just plain fun. Let's spill the real tea here – musicians are the ultimate bosses of their beat-driven domains. When they're laying down tracks about climbing success or stacking that paper, it could be a deep dive into their diary, a battle cry for social change, or just their way of keeping it 100 with some playful swagger. They're not just making tunes; they're crafting their own megaphone to holler at the world, on their own terms. So, whether they're serenading us with their personal anthems of affluence or just having a blast, these artists are serving us their stories straight up, no chaser.
Commercial Hits
Controversy clicks. Music execs know that a song about swiping cards can also swipe up streaming stats, and you better believe it! Controversy is like that secret sauce – it’s the clickbait of the music industry. Those bigwig music execs? They've got the 411 on what sizzles. They know when an artist drops a track that's all about living large and swiping plastic, it doesn't just turn heads – it racks up those streaming numbers faster than you can say 'cha-ching'. It's all about that buzz, baby. A song that serves up a slice of the luxe life can light up the charts and have everyone from influencers to the Insta-famous sliding it into their latest story. It's not just a hit; it's a strategy.
We are all Gold Diggers?
Don’t fret! If this question made any nervous. Just because you've got an ear for hits that happen to flaunt a little (or a lot of) bling doesn't mean you're on a treasure hunt. We all love a good bop that makes us feel like we're dripping in finesse—even if our wallets tell a more humble tale. So, keep jamming to those beats that make you feel like a million bucks. It's all about the vibe, not the bankroll!
So, why does my playlist seem to have a common theme with these "females that love to sing about loving money"? Maybe it's a sign that women are owning their success and telling their stories on their terms—unapologetically. Maybe that’s partly my anthema and maybe equally or more, that controversy sells, and in the music industry, this is a well-known fact. Music executives keenly understand that a track with controversial or provocative themes related to materialism and luxury can significantly boost streaming numbers. These songs act as clickbait, attracting listeners with the allure of the high life and the glamour associated with it. When artists drop music that flaunts wealth and excess, it doesn't just catch the public's attention; it explodes in popularity, often dominating charts and becoming the backdrop to countless social media stories.
Yet, enjoying these tracks doesn't necessarily reflect the listener's personal values or lifestyle. If we find ourselves drawn to songs that celebrate opulence and indulgence, it doesn't imply we’are, I am, a "gold digger”?
“Gold Digger”, that would be a rhetorical self accusation, and one that seems to comment on the wider appeal of these controversial themes. Music that glorifies wealth and an extravagant lifestyle often has broad appeal, not necessarily because listeners are themselves "gold diggers," but because such music can be catchy, provide a form of escapism, or offer a fantasy that listeners can momentarily indulge in. It's the allure of a lifestyle that many find attractive, even if it's not one they live or aspire to realistically.
Listening to and enjoying these songs doesn't define one's character—it's often more about the beat, the melody, and the way the music makes one feel. It's a strategy by artists and music executives to create a buzz, ensure the music is talked about, and get it shared across various platforms, from streaming services to social media. The phenomenon reflects the complex relationship between art, commerce commerce, and the psychology of listeners.
Many people appreciate these anthems for their catchy beats and the escapism they offer, allowing them to experience, if only vicariously, a more luxurious life. It's the feeling they evoke that counts, allowing listeners to revel in a sense of elegance and sophistication, regardless of their actual financial status. So go ahead and enjoy the music that makes you feel extravagant— because it’s also about the sensation, not just the cost.
In fact it’s a sensation we are uniting too t be exact, if one choses for reduce the rhetoric down to that. Our personal gold digging "anthem" represents more than just an aggregation of data points that can be analyzed and predicted by algorithms, though. We are more than sensations, and rhetoric together too. It's a reflection of our individuality, our experiences, and the complexities of our personality, which go beyond what any algorithm can fully comprehend or anticipate. Like me being so high in open to experience that I’m imagining I’m a gold digging female on tha weekends! Obviously!
Just playing! But In the music industry, algorithms have become essential tools for predicting trends and understanding listener preferences. They help to shape the creation and promotion of music by providing insights into what is likely to be successful. However, these algorithms operate on historical data and observable patterns, and while they can be incredibly powerful in forecasting trends and tastes, they aren't infallible. They can't capture the spontaneous, emotional, and sometimes irrational reasons why a particular song might resonate with an individual.
Our connection to a song—that ineffable feeling that makes it your "anthem"—is deeply human and can't be wholly reduced to computational processes. It's where art meets the individual heart and mind, and it's a space that remains profoundly personal and uniquely human, despite the ever-growing capabilities of algorithms in our digital world.
Are we more than our Algorithms though?
This really depends if people believe that humans “are more than a sum of their parts”? According to Edelman (2012), the complexity of the human mind extends beyond the simple sum of our parts, suggesting a richness to consciousness that is deeply rooted in the dynamics of our brain's neural circuits.
These tracks could be the anthems of autonomy, the soundtracks of success, resonating with anyone who's chasing their own version of the dream.
Conclusion
The question of whether we are more than our algorithms touches upon the deep philosophical debate about the nature of human consciousness and identity. Edelman's (2012) perspective suggests that while our minds can be understood in terms of computations and algorithms, there is a qualitative aspect to our consciousness—our phenomenal awareness—that cannot be fully captured by computational theories alone. This awareness is an emergent property of the brain's complex neural dynamics and not merely a mechanical byproduct of it.
Edelman's view aligns with the idea that humans cannot be fully understood by breaking them down into simpler parts or processes. The richness of human experience and the intrinsic nature of our consciousness suggest that we might possess qualities that extend beyond the realm of algorithms and computations. These qualities could involve emergent phenomena that arise from the intricate interplay of our neural circuits but are not reducible to them.
In essence, if consciousness indeed has an emergent quality that is not solely the result of computational processes, then humans are more than the sum of their algorithms. The debate continues in the scientific and philosophical communities, with many nuances and varying opinions contributing to our evolving understanding of what it means to be human. What's your take on this trend? Drop a beat, I mean, your thoughts below! Let me see your algorithms within please!

Two years ago when “Michael,” an owner of cryptocurrency, contacted Joe Grand to help recover access to about $2 million worth of bitcoin he stored in encrypted format on his computer, Grand turned him down.
Michael, who is based in Europe and asked to remain anonymous, stored the cryptocurrency in a password-protected digital wallet. He generated a password using the RoboForm password manager and stored that password in a file encrypted with a tool called TrueCrypt. At some point, that file got corrupted and Michael lost access to the 20-character password he had generated to secure his 43.6 BTC (worth a total of about €4,000, or $5,300, in 2013). Michael used the RoboForm password manager to generate the password but did not store it in his manager. He worried that someone would hack his computer and obtain the password.
“At [that] time, I was really paranoid with my security,” he laughs.
Grand is a famed hardware hacker who in 2022 helped another crypto wallet owner recover access to $2 million in cryptocurrency he thought he’d lost forever after forgetting the PIN to his Trezor wallet. Since then, dozens of people have contacted Grand to help them recover their treasure. But Grand, known by the hacker handle “Kingpin,” turns down most of them, for various reasons.
Grand is an electrical engineer who began hacking computing hardware at age 10 and in 2008 cohosted the Discovery Channel’s Prototype This show. He now consults with companies that build complex digital systems to help them understand how hardware hackers like him might subvert their systems. He cracked the Trezor wallet in 2022 using complex hardware techniques that forced the USB-style wallet to reveal its password.
But Michael stored his cryptocurrency in a software-based wallet, which meant none of Grand’s hardware skills were relevant this time. He considered brute-forcing Michael’s password—writing a script to automatically guess millions of possible passwords to find the correct one—but determined this wasn’t feasible. He briefly considered that the RoboForm password manager Michael used to generate his password might have a flaw in the way it generated passwords, which would allow him to guess the password more easily. Grand, however, doubted such a flaw existed.
Michael contacted multiple people who specialize in cracking cryptography; they all told him “there’s no chance” of retrieving his money. But last June he approached Grand again, hoping to convince him to help, and this time Grand agreed to give it a try, working with a friend named Bruno in Germany who also hacks digital wallets.
Grand and Bruno spent months reverse engineering the version of the RoboForm program that they thought Michael had used in 2013 and found that the pseudo-random number generator used to generate passwords in that version—and subsequent versions until 2015—did indeed have a significant flaw that made the random number generator not so random. The RoboForm program unwisely tied the random passwords it generated to the date and time on the user’s computer—it determined the computer’s date and time, and then generated passwords that were predictable. If you knew the date and time and other parameters, you could compute any password that would have been generated on a certain date and time in the past.
If Michael knew the day or general time frame in 2013 when he generated it, as well as the parameters he used to generate the password (for example, the number of characters in the password, including lower- and upper-case letters, figures, and special characters), this would narrow the possible password guesses to a manageable number. Then they could hijack the RoboForm function responsible for checking the date and time on a computer and get it to travel back in time, believing the current date was a day in the 2013 time frame when Michael generated his password. RoboForm would then spit out the same passwords it generated on the days in 2013.
There was one problem: Michael couldn’t remember when he created the password.
According to the log on his software wallet, Michael moved bitcoin into his wallet for the first time on April 14, 2013. But he couldn’t remember if he generated the password the same day or some time before or after this. So, looking at the parameters of other passwords he generated using RoboForm, Grand and Bruno configured RoboForm to generate 20-character passwords with upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and eight special characters from March 1 to April 20, 2013.
It failed to generate the right password. So Grand and Bruno lengthened the time frame from April 20 to June 1, 2013, using the same parameters. Still no luck.
Michael says they kept coming back to him, asking if he was sure about the parameters he’d used. He stuck to his first answer.
“They really annoyed me, because who knows what I did 10 years ago,” he recalls. He found other passwords he generated with RoboForm in 2013, and two of them did not use special characters, so Grand and Bruno adjusted. Last November, they reached out to Michael to set up a meeting in person. “I thought, ‘Oh my God, they will ask me again for the settings.”
Instead, they revealed that they had finally found the correct password—no special characters. It was generated on May 15, 2013, at 4:10:40 pm GMT.
“We ultimately got lucky that our parameters and time range was right. If either of those were wrong, we would have … continued to take guesses/shots in the dark,” Grand says in an email to WIRED. “It would have taken significantly longer to precompute all the possible passwords.”
Grand and Bruno created a video to explain the technical details more thoroughly.
RoboForm, made by US-based Siber Systems, was one of the first password managers on the market, and currently has more than 6 million users worldwide, according to a company report. In 2015, Siber seemed to fix the RoboForm password manager. In a cursory glance, Grand and Bruno couldn’t find any sign that the pseudo-random number generator in the 2015 version used the computer’s time, which makes them think they removed it to fix the flaw, though Grand says they would need to examine it more thoroughly to be certain.
Siber Systems confirmed to WIRED that it did fix the issue with version 7.9.14 of RoboForm, released June 10, 2015, but a spokesperson wouldn’t answer questions about how it did so. In a changelog on the company’s website, it mentions only that Siber programmers made changes to “increase randomness of generated passwords,” but it doesn’t say how they did this. Siber spokesman Simon Davis says that “RoboForm 7 was discontinued in 2017.”
Grand says that, without knowing how Siber fixed the issue, attackers may still be able to regenerate passwords generated by versions of RoboForm released before the fix in 2015. He’s also not sure if current versions contain the problem.
“I'm still not sure I would trust it without knowing how they actually improved the password generation in more recent versions,” he says. “I'm not sure if RoboForm knew how bad this particular weakness was.”
Customers may also still be using passwords that were generated with the early versions of the program before the fix. It doesn’t appear that Siber ever notified customers when it released the fixed version 7.9.14 in 2015 that they should generate new passwords for critical accounts or data. The company didn’t respond to a question about this.
If Siber didn’t inform customers, this would mean that anyone like Michael who used RoboForm to generate passwords prior to 2015—and are still using those passwords—may have vulnerable passwords that hackers can regenerate.
“We know that most people don't change passwords unless they're prompted to do so,” Grand says. “Out of 935 passwords in my password manager (not RoboForm), 220 of them are from 2015 and earlier, and most of them are [for] sites I still use.”
Depending on what the company did to fix the issue in 2015, newer passwords may also be vulnerable.
Last November, Grand and Bruno deducted a percentage of bitcoins from Michael’s account for the work they did, then gave him the password to access the rest. The bitcoin was worth $38,000 per coin at the time. Michael waited until it rose to $62,000 per coin and sold some of it. He now has 30 BTC, now worth $3 million, and is waiting for the value to rise to $100,000 per coin.
Michael says he was lucky that he lost the password years ago because, otherwise, he would have sold off the bitcoin when it was worth $40,000 a coin and missed out on a greater fortune.
“That I lost the password was financially a good thing.”
