TO Duco:
Are you going to give Kornelia a home? Or are ya just gonna give her the peace that she needs? Hope you are doing ok.
"Hah! The Emperor's peace!", Duco slaps his thighs in maximum amusement. Then growls at a mutant who has stopped in his tracks as the Night Lord has shared his little burst of good humour with the world. The creature immediately sinks to the floor, pauses for a few seconds with its forehead pressed to the stones, then slides to the side, jumps up and flees the room.
Duco now has the lab to himself, walks a few steps between the room-high glass containers in which bodies or body parts drift slowly up and down in various nutrient solutions like tropical fish. Further back is an incubator in which ten - for Duco - not quite palm-sized eggs are waiting to finish their development. He looks into the red light that illuminates the "nest" and which is pleasantly long-wave for his eyes.
As he writes the answer, he also speaks it aloud - he has learned from Herik that birds are taught who their parents are already in the egg because they hear their voices. And he still intends to form an army of geese.
"The Chief Apothecary has made it very clear that he no longer wishes to stumble across Kornelia in all sorts of places. I suppose he thought the problem would solve itself with all the tribes of Vatgrown, the pens of War Mutants and all the rest here. But - hah! Not with Kornelia! The critter survived it all.
But of course - she would not survive Fabius' displeasure. So I thought to myself that there was really only one who, firstly, survived against all odds and, secondly, was not impressed by the Manflayer's wrath.
And what can I say? It fit! Perfectly, even!"
He turns to the wall, where quite a few screens hang in a nest of snaking cables. With the push of a button he switches on a pictfeed. A brief static hiss, then a gloomy crypt peels out of the pixels. From behind, dusty rays of sunlight pierce long-broken windows. And in the centre of it all, in a nest-like tangle of consoles, cables, wires - an old Contemptor Dreadnought. And up there, atop of his carapace perches the goose. Peacefully settled and with its head tucked under a wing, it makes quiet cackling comments while the old warrior rumbles to himself: "… they came from all sides. I tell you! You probably can't comprehend that, can you? Damn xenos. Me, then, with a chainsword … - I have yet to tell you how I …"
Duco grins so wide you could practically crack his head open. "Yes, that was one of my more brilliant ideas. Let's see when someone goes down to Diomat again and finds Kornelia. I bet the old fart will defend her with his life!"

I am so sorry for the delay. RL has been in my face and also writers block has been a bitch!
Chapter 14
Scars and Souvenirs
Summary: Sy and his lady both retire from the army but not before tragedy befalls Sy. He slowly tries to adjust to life again on their ranch.
Pairing: Sy / OFC
Word count: 3,131
Rating: mentions of war; being a POW, death, talk of trafficking, forced prostitution and assult.
Sy looked around his kitchen, which quickly had become their war room. He looked at his four friends, his four brothers at Arms, four of the five people he could always count on. He knew no matter what, these people would be there for him. This was his Special Forces Unit - Black Ops. They did missions under the radar, things not many people could do.
Farthest to his right was a younger man with curly brown hair, tall build, piercing blue eyes. To any normal person he would look completely unsuspecting and innocent. This man was Will Shaw. Will's family was CIA. He came into it naturally. Will was their cleaner. He would go in after every mission and make sure everything was cleared so there was no evidence against the unit or anything that could trace back to anyone.
To Will's left was another tall, well-built man with sleek, dark hair, piercing blue eyes and high cheekbones. A man who always dressed very dignified, usually in a three-piece suit. That is unless he was in fatigues or Mission attire. This man was Napoleon Solo. Napoleon was the finder. Any artifact, any information, any person, any lost item, Napoleon was the one that found it. He could find anything.
To his left stood another tall well-built man with what Sy lovingly called a porn stash. This mustached man with dark hair and also with piercing blue eyes was August Walker. August was the true definition of a spy; it's the work he loved most. August wasn't afraid to get dirty, he wasn't afraid to blur the lines between black and white and sometimes he lived in such a dark gray area that it made the others uneasy. Walker could be a petulant asshole, he could be stubborn, bullheaded and even arrogant but he always had your six.
Next to him stood the man that Sy felt was the big brother he'd never had. Of course he felt that all the men were his brothers but there was a bond that he had with Geralt that was hard to explain. He could see Geralt as almost a father figure, a big brother, a guide, a mentor. Grealt was muscle and so much more.. He was the leader, the planner. Geralt knew things instinctively that sometimes the other guys missed. He was a master at defence and weaponry and could be diomatic when he needed to be and was not afraid to step in between any of them when they were fighting. He was menacing but had a heart of gold.
Then of course there was Sy himself. Sy was the calm head, the planner, the leader. He kept things cool and calm. He kept everyone on task. Sy was the muscle, he was the one that wasn't afraid to go in and put his life in danger. He would lead them and do anything in his power to keep them safe.
These are the men Sy trusted with his life, with Debbie's life. These are the men that were going to go in and help him save her.  They were all dressed in black, their faces covered with black paint black and gray paint, armed to the hilt. Guns of every kind and size. They had flash bangs, grenades, everything they needed to go in quietly or to make a big noise if need be.
Sy glared at August as the man rubbed his sore jaw. had punched him. August tried to insist that Sy stay behind when they went on this mission. He tried to say that Sy would be a liability because they were going to get his girlfriend. It made Sy vulnerable and it made him one track minded so to speak. He didn't want Sy to get hurt but, being August he didn't phrase it the way. He said that Sy would be a liability and needed to stay in the surveillance truck with Shaw. Sy took offense. He told August that he was full of shit. He was going in to get Debbie with or without them then punched August in the jaw. Needless to say August didn't like that one bit and a scuffle ensued. Geralt of course stepped between them and scolded them like they were young kids fighting over the last piece of candy. Needless to say It was decided that Sy would indeed be going.
Geralt knew that there was some logic to what August said but he knew Sy was a professional through and through. It was what would happen after the rescue that Geralt was worried about. What they found would likely crush the man and it would be up to his Brothers to rally around them until they could pick up the prices.
It was two a.m., time to head put. They all loaded into the box truck that had been fitted with the surveillance equipment and they're coms where Will would be staying while the mission was taking place. He would guide them via the cameras that they had hacked into that were in the building using earwigs.
Walter, who hadn't been happy about being left out of the mission, met them at the predetermined location. He was to help Will in the surveillance van then notify authorities at the right time. Walt would be given full credit for taking down the S17's local trafficking ring, not that he was concerned with credit. He was pissed at first when Sy told him he  couldn't go but after a long conversation about how Sy didn't want Walt to have any blood on his hands and not wanting to endanger his shared custody of Fay if anything went wrong during the mission he reluctantly agreed.
They parked the box truck out of sight and moved to a position at the back gate tgat was not under any surveillance where they cut through the metal fence and the barbed wire to get inside. Once they had breached the door into the building they encountered guards and had to take a few of them out, which they did silently to not draw attention to themselves. The others were subdued with zip ties around the wrists and ankles and injected with sedatives before height hidden out of sight.
Moving silently as a team, each clearing every doorway, every hallway or every possible spot for someone to be hiding. Will follows their steps on camera from the surveillance van telling them which way to turn and the quickest way to get to where they believed that Debbie and Mike were being held. They were able to avoid a lot of people in the hallways thanks to Will's guidance with the cameras. However they did meet face-to-face with a few people here and there. Did their best to subdue them but would use deadly force whenever necessary. They moved with stealth like skills as August and Sy simultaneously snapped the necks of two guards and Solo stabbed under the chin dropping him silently to the ground.
It seemed like it was taking forever to clear their route but in truth they had only been in the building for under five minutes when they reached the room they thought Debbie and Mike were being held in.
Cautiously they breached the door and stepped inside and were instantly hit with horrible smells they all knew too well. Smells that happened when someone was held prisoner and tortured. The smell of urine and blood filled the air and the copper and ammonia  scents made their nostrils burn and eyes water.
The room was solid concrete with a drain in the center of the concrete floor.  In the right, back corner Mike was curled into a ball,, hugging his knees to his chest rocking repeatedly muttering, “No, please, no! No more!” His hands and feet were bound tightly with plastic zip ties wrenched so tight that his hands and feet were turning blue and the skin was bloody and raw. Solo and August went to acces him.
Sy's heart pounded and constricted when he saw Debbie. She was hanging by her arms from a metal pipe, feet barely touching the floor. She was bloody and battered. Her face was swollen, both eyes blacked, nose and mouth bloody. Her shirt had been cut open and was hanging off her body and shreds her bra was cut open as well. Her skin was a myriad of bruises, burns and gashes. Her wrists were bloody from the metal cuffs she was hanging from. The skin on her neck was red  raw and different shades of blue and purple like they'd tried to hang her.
Sy and Geralt went straight to her. Sy began accessing her injuries as Geralt worked freeing her from the cuffs. “No!” She rasped, her voice gone at this point as she struggled and kicked out at them with one leg. “Get away from me!” She bit at the nearest skin near her which was Geralt’s arm.
“Fuck!” He hissed quietly.
“Deb it's me, shhh. Darlin’ It's me,” Sy told her. “We're here to get you baby.”
She burst into tears at the sound of his voice. He was here for her. “Told them you would come,”  she whispered before losing consciousness.

LESSON 3
I have gained knowledge on the use of idiomatic expressions and their cultural connotations through this lesson. I diomatic language is comparable to a form of art in which the message is concealed. Yet, white speaking with individuals of different ethnicity, it is particularly important to imploy idiomatic terms cautiously to avoid miscommunication for the reason that they have a tendency to interrupt the conversation. I also learned that some terms have different cultures. In order to prevent miscommunication, we must be careful with our words and be aware of who we are speaking to.

I've been reading Efflorescence of recent and let me say this. I am LIVID, to say the least, at Feyre. Like, child what were you thinking? Like, I am speechless at her plain ignorance and just the lack of knowledge in diomatic matters. It made me absolutely fuming despite the fact that she's young and just - oh lord. But that really goes to show how good your writing is man. And the snippets I went through? I crave the the meeting between Lucien and Helion so damn much now that I cry. I am, so late, on the Efflorescence train and I am disappointed with myself.
Okay, I'm so sorry with this rant.
Ps. I really love your works. ❤️❤️
And I really love your thoughtful, utterly lovely asks!
One of my favorite bait and switches of writing Feyre is canon’s ‘human heart’ insistence.
Because she does not care about her human life. She’s been living for what, a year before she even lets her sisters know she isn’t dead? And that’s only because she needs them.
Which, is, as you know, in my opinion the dumbest plot in history: We need an alliance! Spying didn’t working, breaking in isn’t working. We need these people to work with us so we will....come uninvited to your childhood home, putting everyone who lives there at risk, and...invite royalty there to chat???
Everyone else involved in the plan fought in the first war, allied with humans against Hybern. They’re professionally political. There’s zero reason to risk Feyre’s family, and furthermore, absolutely no reason to believe the Queens...you know, wouldn’t be insulted that diplomacy between their countries is coming from a nobody who wants to meet them, not on their land, not in a palace, or real neutral territory, but at the manor house of some formerly disgraced, semi-nobles??
Feyre completely disregards both human experiences and values...in absolutely every way, except for judging her sisters.
Efflorescence takes it a step further: Feyre doesn’t remember being a Lady, so she refuses to even acknowledge their family legacy. She’s thrown her full weight behind Rhys, and thinks his power can save anyone.
She can hook up with a High Lord, but Elain? Marrying a faery? Obviously impossible. She hasn’t even picked up enough of the Cassian/Nesta stuff to get that they are...already inseparable and Rhysand’s worst nightmare, but if anything, she’s going to be even less understanding of that.
Late train cannot be blamed! Half the reason why Efflorescence is on temporary hiatus is that it is an in-depth story to write, plot-wise...and not a lot of people were reading it? So thank you, for tuning into the political drama madness, I adore it.
And Helion!! The real mvp of Efflorescence IS Sorcha, but there’s some fun Helion stuff to come too. Nothing in the world like a pissed off Archeron who knows everything about deadbeat dads and has zero patience, facing off against a High Lord.
Thank you for the ask, and for reading :)

Which of the astartes that you've drawn do you think have a fat pair of nuts?
Tumblr media
Easy - Diomat!
His giant trucknuts are a thing of legend. This old Dreadnought has elevated the ancient art of teabagging to a whole new level.
Once again the Consortium puts all other Emperor's Children Warbands to shame with their devotion to not being devoted at all.

To Duco:
Have all the geese grown up yet? And any plans on pushing the chubby bird lumps buttons any time soon?
Fabius is not someone who strolls. His normal movement is fast and purposeful. He always has little time. Little time before someone interrupts him again. Little time before the galaxy needs him again and whines for him like a petulant toddler. And little time until the poison in his cells forces him to deal with a finite infinity again.
But this is a constantly recurring appointment that forces him to slow down. It interrupts his routine and takes him back to a time when simple problems demanded simple solutions.
You could almost say: this is leisure time.
His footsteps echo through the darkness of the long corridor deep beneath the palace. Bluish lights flicker just a few metres in front of him, only to go out again directly behind him. His shadow dances like a many-armed monster - so correct! - over the walls decorated with crumbling stucco.
He is already thinking about the upcoming procedures when his warrior senses alert him to the fact that something is there that shouldn't be. He doesn't slow his steps to show that he's noticed something, but unobtrusively reaches for the Needler.
Relaxes again with a snorted laugh as he realises what has caught his attention. He taps his forehead in greeting. "Kornelia!"
The goose watches him, showing no sign of emotion.
"You use the name, Chief Apothecary!" Duco's voice comes from the complete darkness next to the two large double doors. Fabius sighs, the air hissing in his ragged lungs. "Of course I do. It's her designation in your reports. I may have an opinion on the matter, but I don't deign to voice it."
"Naturally not, Chief Apothecary," Duco's pointed teeth are flashing in the faint light of the lumens.
"I allow you this sentimentality because it has led to these birds developing an astonishing usefulness. I wouldn't have thought it, but there's no other way to explain what they've done to stabilise Diomat's heart rate, fluid absorption value and brainwaves."
Duco opens the doors to the crypt and the two Apothecaries enter the huge room. In the light at the back, the old Contemptor Dreadnought looms like a bizarre religious shrine.
The geese have draped themselves on and around him and turn their heads in unison towards the two intruders. Kornelia follows the two Marines into the room, matter of factly and with the regal aura of self-confident ownership.
Diomat's systems snap into a more conscious mode with a dry, metallic sound. The dreadnought powers up.
Duco sounds very smug: "Well, my geese are developing very favourably. Have you checked Herik's yet?"

1. Zonas De Cárcavas
2. Zonas De Derrumbes y Zonas de Erosión (alta, media y baja)
3. Zonas Susceptibles de Inundaciones
4. Zonas de Incendios Forestales altos y medios
5. Zonas de Falla Geológica (J. A. Castro Guerra)
2. Clima ambiental

Cool Fast Self-Drying Dish Rack for your Kitchen
Tumblr media
The Dorai Dish Rack originates from exactly the same guys who invented the Dorai Bath Stone that may instantly dry your dishes before you can even put the second dish on. Its not another regular dish rack that you can buy at Walmart, Amazon or Target and it is not an Oxo or Nex brand that requires to board a pad and step off it. Building about this quick-drying aspect that's gradually becoming the company’s niche, this is actually the Dorai Dish Rack. It utilizes a special fossilized-algae base that absorbs water at lightning speeds, drying your dishes out without developing a puddle water, detergent, dirt, resulting in bacteria and mold buildup at the bottom of the rack. The Dorai Dish Rack is really a radical rethinking from the age-old dish rack that we’ve been blindly accepting for hundreds of years. While old dish-racks depend on water dripping from the dishes and on your kitchen countertop (you could include a kitchen area towel, but everyone knows that doesn’t help), Dorai includes its proprietary Diomat built-in. This Diomat is made of an uncommon-earth-mineral also known as Diatomaceous Earth, that forms in the fossilized remains of small marine microorganisms. Diatomaceous Earth is able to instantly absorb and dissipate water or moisture, speeding up evaporation while stopping mold and microbial growth. By using this feature since it's core strength, the Dorai Dish Rack enables your wet containers, pans, bottles, wine glasses, knives, and utensils to drip directly to the Diomat. Within a few moments, water is also spread over the pad and evaporates instantly in to the air. Developed in aluminum, the Dorai Dish Rack is lightweight and resistant against rust. It comes down having the ability to pier glasses, cutting boards, as well as your knife-block, giving all of your utensils and crockery enough space to dry perfectly. The Dish Rack is collapsible, allowing you to to keep it in narrow spaces keep, and also the Diomat is removable too, enabling you to clean the pad and also the rack periodically, keeping the whole kitchen space dry and sanitary. dish rack walmart, dish rack cabinet, dish rack target, best dish rack, dish rack over sink, plastic dish rack, dish rack with cover, oxo foldaway dish rack 1473480 For additional versatility, there’s the Dorai Dish Pad, a foldable pad that you could open on counter-tops to put out wet utensils onto. Focused on the fast-drying Diatomecious Earth baseplate, the Dorai Dish Pad has a silicone outer, giving the information its hinged, flexible nature, in addition to a food-safe, contaminant-free construction. Made to stop wasting time-drying, multiple-use, sustainable, and healthy, the Dorai Dish Rack and Pad give our hands-washing and drying practices a significantly-needed upgrade.
