2D candace hc’s:

-was pretty much the only one in the resistance who regularly spoke to buford before they met the firestorm girls. Everyone else was a teenager and kinda just saw him as an annoying little brother but candace was like ‘that is a CHILD i gotta spend extra time training him to make sure he can survive in this world (and also so he doesnt get lonely)’. She never said so outright and rarely explicitly showed it, but she considers all the resistance kids honorary little siblings and buford was the first of that lot to earn the title

-once stole sweets from doofs break room and handed them out between her brothers and the resistance kids

-occasionally slips out of her stoic badass persona and speaks like candace prime before quickly getting embarrassed and correcting herself

-generally dislikes adults- particularly linda- as she sees them as having failed her and all the other kids in danville by not standing up to doof and leaving the youth to handle it. Monogram is one of the only ones she truly trusts, even if she gets exasperated by how stupid he can be and the fact he was ultimately caught. At the end of the day he DID something and thats more than can be said about most adults in danville

-is cold to both parents even post-takeover. While she loves linda, she dislikes her for pre-established reasons. She doesnt have as much against lawrence because he was forcibly kept in the factory most of the year so didnt have as much opportunity to rebel even if he wanted to. However, she is still only neutral towards him as the invasion happened when linda and lawrences marriage was still fairly young and candace hadn’t quite adapted to him completely. She still calls him lawrence to this day

-her ducky momo plush, along with other items, were hidden from the norm bots by lawrence shortly after the invasion and before houses could be searched and ‘fixed’. While its safe and she has it back now, she still went years without it so the attachment isnt as strong

-trans just like prime candace. She was going by candace for a short while before the invasion and when the norm bots asked for her info thats the name she gave. Ended up accidentally getting it legally changed for free as when doof was taken down, all his records of his ‘slaves’ became null and void and they had to re-establish everyones citizenship in danville by basically just copy pasting the info from his files into an official format

-she also dug up some old pre-transition clothes lawrence hid and gave them to baljeet at some point. He transitioned during doofs reign so the only ‘boys’ clothes he could get his hands on before this were dooferalls which like. For obvious reasons candace didnt want him being forced to wear. Her box of clothes also contained the jacket he wears in the movie :)

-candace got most of the workout gear she used to train from the dump. When doof took over he outlawed gyms since they reminded him of his yearly new years resolution to go more that he always fails, so she found a load of workout gear easily. Obviously she couldnt move a treadmill or owt, but she managed to trag a pull up bar and a punching bag back to her room. What she couldnt move (and still worked) she left at the dump and went back there to work out

-her outfit came from a jumper lawrence managed to save from before the takeover. Since it was Black and Edgy she wore it as her uniform before eventually growing out of it and modifying it into a crop top and skirt
