Meet me in the Library | Dynamic x Reader

Upon meeting the purple-dressed operative when assigned on an investigation with him, you had immediately felt drawn to him.

Your heart raced when in his presence, but felt empty without him. You were puzzled at first, but began to disregard the new feelings and didn't even realize the amount you began to cling to him lately.

To be fair, you had never stopped yourself because he never said anything.

Today was like any other, and you were trotting away to find your good friend, Dynamic. After you had checked your schedule in the office, you also allowed your eyes to drift over Dynamic's, smiling a little to see he also had a completely free day.

You figured you wouldn't mind stopping by to say hi for a while, right?

Once you stepped through the open doorway of the corner library, you peered in the area of the store, and felt a pinch in your gut when you caught sight of a rather pretty civilian talking Dynamic's ear off.

They were leaning over the counter, cheekily pleading for him to remove his signature glasses. You sucked in a deep breath, whipping back around the corner of the entrance, putting a hand over your mouth in attempt to calm yourself.

Is he finally replacing me? Should I go home? But, I don't want to be alone again...

You had been so lost within your thoughts that you didn't notice the civilian walk out, and soon appeared Dynamic outside, beside you.

Underneath his purple shades, his eyes harbored a look of worry and a hint of guilt. He bit his lip before gently taking a hold of your unoccupied hand.

You looked up at him suddenly, tears pricking at your eyes once you realized who it was. He opened his mouth slightly to utter something, but cut himself off and tugged your arm slightly to come inside.

Once inside, he closed the door and grabbed a ring of rings from his pocket, locking the front door.

"What did you hear?" He asked quietly, leading you to his seat at the front of the shop, behind the cashier desk.

You took a moment to blink away the stray tears that had been building up in the corners of your eyes. Still choked up on your words, you manage to squeak out: "Sh-she wanted you to take off your glasses."

He allowed the thought to pass over his head, and drew a small sigh and rubbed one of his eyes underneath his glasses. He bent down slightly to be level with you, and before he could speak, you add, "Am I too clingy?"

He swallowed.

"No. No you aren't, I know you don't realize it, but I want to make sure you know that some random civilian will not take my attention-" He had taken a moment to press two of his finger underneath your chin, "-away from yours."

You swallowed a sob, and you felt your face heat up at the closeness. Both you and Dynamic were still for many moments, but when he moved to grab your hand gently, you flinched at the sudden action. He guided your hand up to his face, and placed it upon one of the silver temples.

You were puzzled until you realized what exactly he was hinting at. When the realization snapped, you gasp a little, "Wait, you don't let anyone do this. Are-"

He nudged your hand little bit, allowing the glasses to begin to slip off of his face a tad bit, and nodded with a small smile. You gulped, and allowed the rest of the thin metal to pass down with your hand, and his purple orbs were now staring right into your own. You were mesmerized by them, but you jumped when he spoke.

"Now you know how I feel when I look at yours."

Your face got redder, if that was even possible. You cleared your throat, smiling bashfully and nudged him. "If you mean in complete and utter disgust, then sure."

He whined a bit playfully, rolling his eyes until he dipped down closer to you, tilting his head slightly. "You don't mean that, right?"

You hummed a bit, before meeting his lips with yours.
