.｡.:*☆ “Yeah?” It was only now that Eddie noticed someone standing behind him in the gym. He had been all caught up in his training, all his attention on the punching bag he was torturing. It was what he often did when his mind was swirling. And it was swirling a lot actually since his memories had returned.

“Have you been talking to me?" He decided to stop for a moment, pulling off one of his gloves to reach for his water bottle on the side. In the same movement finally facing the person standing behind him as he did. "Or are you only waiting for me to be done?”

Eddie had bought a camera, but felt like he had no idea how to actually use it. Complicated, heavy, ancient technology. And it had been expensive, as well. But it had been worth it. Hopefully. If Eddie would finally understand how to use it.

“Hey,” He said while turning to one of the people being closest to him. “Could you maybe take a picture of the two of us, please?”

.｡.:*☆ "Well... looks like it is a blackout," Eddie sighed as he returned to Buck in the living room, flashlight in hand. He was glad Chris was sleeping, although, with the noise the rain and storm made, Eddie would not be surprised if his son woke up again soon.

"Weather here on the island can be like this, sadly. Means you'll have to stay here tonight, though. Like, there is no way I allow you to drive back home after Hell broke lose outside like this."

“Hey dad,” His son came back suddenly, holding up a purse towards Eddie. “Do you think someone dropped it?”

.｡.:*☆ “Hey Buck...” It was still early. Eddie had just made some coffee and was now doing his best to prepare some toast without burning it.

“Already made any plans for tonight? You know, something romantic? With a girl you met at work, maybe?” A part of him wished that Buck would have no plans at all. That they could just spend the night together, maybe. But Eddie also knew this was foolish.

“If not, you can always just join me and Chris, of course.”

.｡.:*☆ Was it really that obvious? Not to mention, Eddie had never seen himself as the jealous type. Not until recently, that was. “Well, I mean....” he was tired of denying it. Maybe, accepting his feelings would make things easier, at least.

“What would you do? Would you tell him? Mean, you see... as far as I know, none of us has been interested in guys, so far. And, Buck is great, but - I really could ruin a great friendship this way?”

A reference noone would get, for sure. But it was fun. And that was all that did count. “But, only is you are going to dress up, as well. Deal?”

While he already was in Sydney for a while, he had not made that many friends yet. Mostly people from work. But, Chris loved Halloween, so, he wanted to make sure his son would enjoy this one, as well.

For Chris, everything was even harder. Eddie had done his best to explain everything to his son. Saying that they were in Sydney because he had a job here. But, Chris missed his friends - especially Buck - so the firefighter tried everything so his son would have a good time.

“Hey,” he spoke up to the first person crosing his path, “Can you take another picture of us, please?”

.｡.:*☆ “Well, but, I mean....” Eddie thought for a moment. Looking at what they had done already while his son Chris was painting a snowman onto the living room window. “If we are doing even more, we won’t see the tree anymore in the end. Or, so it feels right now, at least.”
