Entrep Journey: From EDUKit's Start-up Proposal to the Final Pitch

Welcome to our Entrep Journey blog, where we will take you through the exciting and challenging experience of launching our start-up "EDUKit" (short for education kit). Join us as we share our journey from presenting the venture proposal to successfully completing the final pitch.

Throughout this process, we learned valuable lessons that shaped not only our business but also our personal growth as a team. The Start of EDUKit: After weeks of hard work and dedication, we were thrilled when our start-up proposal for "EDUKit" received approval.

The idea behind EDUKit was to provide a comprehensive education kit that would revolutionize the way students learn, combining interactive tools and resources to enhance their learning experience.

Brainstorming the Business Model Canvas (BMC):With the approval in hand, our team gathered together to brainstorm and create the Business Model Canvas (BMC) for EDUKit. We decided to divide the work among the five of us to ensure that every aspect was thoroughly researched and implemented. A Zoom meeting was scheduled to allow us to discuss each seAs we prepared for the BMC proposal, we were fortunate to receive valuable guidance from Sir Yonie and our instructor, Sir Tracy. Their insights and suggestions helped us refine our start-up's core elements and identify potential areas for improvement. As part of our final pitch, we decided to include an infographic video to showcase the essence of EDUKit. Our team collaborated effectively during the meeting, sharing creative ideas and insights, and we worked cohesively to develop an engaging video that highlighted the unique features of our start-up.

The Nerve-Wracking Final Pitch:The day of the final pitch arrived, and emotions were running high – nervousness and excitement filled the air. We had poured our hearts and souls into EDUKit, and now it was time to present it to potential investors and stakeholders. Despite the nerves, we managed to deliver a compelling pitch that showcased our passion for EDUKit and its potential to revolutionize the education industry.

Looking back on our Entrep Journey with EDUKit, we can't help but feel grateful for the incredible experience and the lessons we learned along the way. We discovered the importance of collaboration, communication, and resilience in the face of challenges. Our cohesive team spirit and determination enabled us to meet deadlines and finish all tasks on time. Most importantly, we successfully completed the final pitch, achieving the ultimate goal of the course.

As we venture into the world of entrepreneurship, we carry with us the valuable lessons and memories of this journey. EDUKit may have been just a start-up proposal at the beginning, but it has evolved into a project we deeply believe in and are excited to pursue further. ENTREP JOURNEY BLOG: A Step Towards Empowering Students

In the initial stages of our entrepreneurial journey, we recognized the importance of understanding our target market - students. With enthusiasm and determination, we embarked on a journey of interviewing 80 students to gain valuable insights. Dividing the task among our team of 5, each member interviewed 16 students.

The interviews were conducted to validate our assumptions and identify the most pressing problems students face in their academic lives. Through these interactions, we discovered three recurring challenges - academic struggles, financial problems, and academic stress.

We hypothesized that these three issues are the most significant hurdles faced by students and addressing them would present a compelling value proposition.Our hypothesis was validated, as the majority of the interviewees expressed their struggles with academics, financial constraints, and the constant burden of academic stress.

As an ambitious team, we faced a critical decision during our last meeting. With the three identified problems - academic struggles, financial problems, and academic stress - we had to determine which one to focus on for our startup venture proposal.

The options before us were as follows:- Address a Single Problem: We could have chosen to focus solely on one of the three issues, delving deep to devise a solution that specifically targets either academic struggles, financial problems, or academic stress.- Holistic Approach: Alternatively, we had the opportunity to combine all three problems into a comprehensive solution, considering the interconnected nature of these challenges in students' lives.

After thoughtful deliberation, our team reached a consensus to take a holistic approach and address all three major problems faced by students - academic struggles, financial problems, and academic stress. We believed that by creating a comprehensive platform to tackle these issues collectively, we could offer a more meaningful and impactful solution to our target market.

The decision to address all three challenges in a single platform, the EDUKIT app, was driven by the understanding that these issues often intersect and influence each other. For instance, academic struggles may lead to increased stress, while financial problems can exacerbate academic challenges. By providing a versatile and interconnected set of features within EDUKIT, we aimed to empower students to overcome these hurdles effectively and efficiently.

As a team, the previous week was full of learning experiences. The most valuable lesson we took away was the power of collaboration and effective communication. Despite working remotely through virtual meetings, our group effectively coordinated the tasks for the week, ensuring all activities were completed on time.

Moreover, we realized that approaching the problem from a holistic perspective allowed us to envision a more impactful solution for our target market. By understanding and incorporating the complex interplay of academic struggles, financial problems, and academic stress, we were better positioned to create a more meaningful and sustainable startup proposal.

As we move forward on our ENTREP JOURNEY, armed with valuable insights from our customer interviews and the collective decision to pursue a holistic approach, we look forward to creating EDUKIT - an empowering platform designed to uplift students and transform their educational experiences.
