If anything, can we talk about Elmo’s parents letting him cook with basically strangers in their house in Elmo’s Magic Cookbook?

please stop drawing ernie and bert kissing and shit they’re literally preschoolers. it’s creepy and weird.

Buddy I don’t know how to tell you this but:

1. Preschoolers don’t own apartments by themselves

2. Bert has a TWIN BROTHER with a CHILD

3. Take it up with the official German version of the show. They’ve done it way more than I ever have.

When I was a child, there always be these stupid questions about favorite things I would come across, and I guess I came across the question "what's your favorite movie?" so many times qithout really having an answer that I just decided Elmo's Magic Cookbook would be my favorite movie forever, but I just realized that I like Nimona and the entire collection of Ghibli films SO much more than Elmo's Magic Cookbook, so I think it might be a good time to retire that answer.

Elmo's Magic Cookbook, 2001, Part One ... #Elmo's #Magic #Cookbook is a 2001 #Sesame #Street direct-to-#video #special, focused on #teaching #kids how easy it is to #cook. First, it "alakazams" Jean, the ingredient-providing Julia Child of genies, onto Sesame Street for a primer on churning out a champion batch of ice cream and then bam!--everybody's favorite Crescent City culinary whiz comes by to create the perfect pizza with the gang. Chef Emeril Legasse does one better than sprinkle the parmesan and pile on the pepperoni with expected panache-- When Legasse leaves on a minestrone emergency, another apron-ready star steps in. This time it's singer Heather Headly, Elmo, no dummy, is at first resistant to the queen's suggestion that together they cook up some pockets. When she takes him on a video tour of pocket-eating cultures, however (think China's dim sum), he warms to the idea, and what results is a scrumptious-looking summer roll. Each of the video's cooking segments is intercut with food-related bits from the show--Grover's hilarious gig as a hopeless waiter is one.

We should stop perpetuating the idea that we need to have favorite things. Yeah, it's nice to have favorite things, but it's not necessary. I remember when I was younger I felt like I had to have a favorite movie, so I just decided that Elmo's Magic Cookbook would be my all time favorite movie. I remember thinking it would be kinda funny at the time because I'd one day be an adult and my favorite movie would be a kids' movie. I am an adult now, and I no longer want Elmo's Magic Cookbook to be my all time favorite movie. I've probably even seen movies that I liked much more, but they haven't stayed with me like EMC because I didn't feel the same pressure to decide between a bunch of different media I really liked which one I liked the MOST because I'd already decided what my favorite movie was going to be for the rest of forever
