Hear me out, Heat pumps combined with solar panels work. Even some of the most conservative people I know of who within the last year had their house converted to run on such a system, suddenly changed their tune about solar panels and green energy. Why? Because it saved them money heating and powering their oversized house.
But now they are opposed to the idea of it being rolled out to poor people too, for free, paid for by the Apple Tax surplus. We could give every home in this country cheaper energy and offset their carbon emissions. But neoliberals don't want that. They get so offended at the idea of helping poor people reduce their costs.
And to add insult to injury, these will be the same people who will browbeat poor people when the EU fines us for our emissions with their "we're all in this together" crap. We aren't.

The thing is, in the more than 300 years since the first steam engine came on the scene, we (humans, engineers) have gotten really, really good at using the liquid–to–vapour phase change of water as a means of converting heat energy to mechanical work.
Yes, gas turbines and explosion engines (both of which basically use air as the working fluid) have proven serious competition, but when there is real work to be done, steam is still the choice time after time.
Given that the “conventional” part of a nuclear power plant typically accounts for around 60% of the total cost of installations, and involves the constant effort of a large maintenance force, some kind of energy–conversion system which does not involve turbines, condensers, and rotating electrical machines is a very appealing prospect. This is possibly the greatest promise of light–element nuclear energy, as potentially realizable by the Farnsworth–Bussard device operating on the boron–proton cycle, or certain types of fusion machines. Achieving it, however, still seems to be a long way off.

I need to start doing more research like this, I have gotten on a mythology binge lately. Anyway..
There is a differing theory of astrology/asteroids that say that overall they’re just energy and that one persons stuff can “transfer” or “convert” or “translate” over to your stuff. For example, someone’s IC (“mother’s side of the family, unconditional love”) is the same as my placement of Jupiter. In the energy transfer process, that IC energy translates to Jupiter energy for me. Another example using asteroids, one person has a Mars or Venus or some other planetary energy that is conjunct this or that asteroid, it translates or transfers to the energy of that deity or whatever the asteroid is about.
