Of course Im Sol doesn't act as in love as Sun-jae, she's literally in a different genre.

Sol is in a murder mystery or a rescue mission. Sun-jae is oblivious and fully living in a RomCom. Even when he's told he's going to die in 15 years, he's still only focused on romance. He hasn't been watching the person he loves die in every timeline, the danger is not real to him.

When Sol finally thinks they are safe, she fully commits to the romance, but those moments of perceived safety are very brief. She only gets about 24 hours in the present timeline (Ep 8), a few weeks in college (I think? Timeline is unclear), and most of Ep 16. But just because she isn't making heart eyes in every other moment, she's still completely focused on trying to save Sun-jae. It's just a different kind of love.
