Ah, go on, what's it gonna hurt? Orpheus plucks a card from the rack almost at random, eyes flicking side to side behind the ever-present sunglasses. He's even had a stamp of them cut, since he started this whole "it ain't speed dating, honest" thing. If you've got a motif, might as well use it...

His expression softens and drifts and he looks the card over more slowly. This is... there's a lot of boxes full here. Bahari... well, he knows enough to know they're his type, even if he doesn't share their convictions. The Bite thing is... workable. It's just got to be mutual, and he's had too many lovers who still feel it to be entirely trusting. And he's a creature of routine, of reputation, of careful equipoise - surprises are threats to his well-being, things to be managed. But the rest... well, he doesn't even know any Dracula jokes, and the German he knows is mostly poetry but it sounds better than people let on.

He whistles softly as he slides his own card into the rack. Sometimes, he feels comparatively... undemanding. Or trashy. But he's not his grandsire - not Old World Euroclass - and that's the point of him. He's California rock garbage to his bones. There's just more to that than people realise. He doesn't expect this one to go anywhere, but... it might be a good thing if it did.

Olivia was excited to find another card in her post box. It was certainly a nice surprise, a frankly astonishing score, and one who seemed undaunted by fire... a rarity to be sure. It would appear any biting would not be in the cards, but that was perfectly fine too. She sat down with the return card, pen in hand, and set about filling it out.

The first pass was... less than encouraging, unfortunately. There were certainly things she and Orpheus seemed to share, as was evidenced by the near bingo but... smoking was something that put her off, even in her mortal days. She could handle it with Camilla, mostly because they rarely saw each other, and she usually had the decency to not smoke in the immediate company of lhaka. It would also seem that kindred liked their romance with a fanatical devotion... she was certainly capable of that, but it took time for something like it to develop. She did also mark a similar cell on a different card, but she decided to return to it after filling out the rest. Olivia wasn't goth herself (she certainly could pull off the look, but it wasn't really her aesthetic), neither was she particular bratty, and her humor was... well, it was what it was, with a fair share of jokes going right over her head. She also didn't know who PJ Harvey was (a singer maybe? She'd have to look him up), but she put the pen down as her sights rested on the biggest red flag on Orpheus' card. "Clingy and controlling sire" was certainly not something she was willing to tolerate, not with her own history being what it was.

She sighed as she slid the card into an envelope and sealed it. Alas, Orpheus would have to be content with a polite refusal. A part of her might have felt a little guilty over the result, but some things were simply not meant to be. Still, perhaps she could still have a contact in him, should the need for that ever arise.
