A Linked Universe meets The Dark Crystal AU! I don't even remember what started it at this point. I remembered that the Dark Crystal and Age of Resistance are things I like, blinked, and woke up three days later with an AU and a bunch of art.

The designs and the story are a wip and for fun so expect a lot of variation! (I have a few different beginnings, ideas for different designs, etc)! :D

Anyway what I've gathered from this episode is that it's Sam who asked Alice out, forever ago, and it was just as cute and fumbly and brave as he did with Celia.

Alice is standing in that corridor having FLASHBACKS of younger Sam's soft eager eyes, the fidgeting of his hands, the having-to-try-three-times to succeed, but they were in Alice's then room, listening to a new album, already friends, legs so close to one another, and Alice had laughed and said "Are you asking me out?" and he'd retorted, more easily, so honestly, "Well yes. I really like you, you know?" and Alice's laughter had came to a sort of awkward weird stop and she'd gone "well, okay then. i like you too, i guess." "Such high praise" Sam had grinned and nudged her shoulder but then also tentatively brushed his hands against her fingers and Alice had said "Shut it" but let their hands get intertwined and they'd kept listening to music and --

Celia is going "Oh, sorry, Alice, I didn't see you there" and Alice is back to the present and Sam is still so lovely, so warm and fond and he knows her so well and he's already rolling his eyes at what he assumes is going to be mocking, and who's Alice to prove him wrong, huh?

I hate that the braindead takes on Firefly from people who can't read are spreading to the people who do actually pay attention to her character, cause now a bunch of people who loved her before are saying she's nothing but waifu bait and has never been anything else.

Her relationship with the Trailblazer is only a small part of her character, she has way more going on with her than just that. 'Take away Sam and then she's just a generic waifu'. Yeah no shit, if you take away a characters whole story there's nothing left there, funny how that works.

Why are people acting like TB is the only thing her character has going for it, when she's got the whole Glamoth lore and Stellaron Hunters and her own personal goals and motives that have nothing to do with TB.

You guys are the ones reducing her down to just a waifu, not the game.

Eddie and Jonathan bonded over- actually, their first meeting was a fight. They were fighting over the newest Mötley Crüe album, and the only one left, at the record store and almost beat each other up, until they realized they were both didn't have enough money for it. So they decided to pool their money together and share it, clearly not thinking the process through because they kept it at Eddie's house and that meant every time Jonathan wanted to borrow it, he ended up just getting high with Eddie and listening to music with him for hours

I was always surprisingly neutral when it came to shipping between the mane six. But I gotta say, ever since these two have become somewhat canon* I've actually grown a little attached to them.

*somewhat canon - either so heavily implied that my instinctive reaction of "haha, they sound like an old married couple!" to the epilogue doesn't feel like only a joke, or shipped by staff writers themselves and it shows in Rollercoaster of Friendship

But since they're happening in different dimensions, I also thought of this scenario:

Joxer’s moment of realization

It’s so subtle but if you watch that ending scene where Joxer walked up to Gabrielle and caressed her face in happiness and affection, not a moment later Gabrielle realizes that Xena is right next to her and her face turns towards her and her and Xena lock eyes. At that moment they pan back to Joxer whose eyes also dart to Xena for a moment and then back to Gabrielle - and he understands in that moment she will never be his because she already has her one true love. Xena. It’s such a small and subtle moment but it’s substantial.

He realized.

It doesn’t stop him from trying to tell her he loves her though which I guess in a way is sweet because he doesn’t expect anything from her in return. He just wants her to know.
