ok I’m in so much pain right now I wanna cry so I’m gonna post all my horses and no one can stop me and I know no one will read it but it’s making me happy rambling about it

So as a kid I was obsessed with horses (I was the horse girl, I know it’s cringe) and had a few Breyer horses but then I got older and I was always thinking about wanting more because they’re so pretty but I thought I wasn’t ‘allowed’ because they were for kids until I stumbled on a huge community of adults collecting them and then I bought one! Ok I’ll start with my old ones

I think this one below was my first model but it could also have been the one after, it’s hard to remember. She probably had a name when I was a kid but I don’t remember and it was probably crappy so I’ll have to come up with something new. She’s a Morgan released in 2010 but the mould came out in 1999 and it’s the Marabella mould. She’s a little worn down, you can kind of see it on the tips of her ears, and around her nose and eye is a bit worn and she’s got a lot of flaws now but I love her

This one could also have been my first but like I said it’s hard to remember. One of these two, I’m certain. This one is less worn down so I’m thinking this was the second. She’s an Arab mare, chestnut, the model is Justadream and was released in 2009. These old ones aren’t exactly vintage but they’re not available to buy any more so cool that I have some of these!

This is my only glossy horse, all Breyers are either glossy or matte and I prefer matte. This one is also old. Took me ages to find her model as there’s different tail versions. She’s from the Lady Phase mould released in the 1970s but this particular version is from 2010 and is apparently a limited edition charity model which I didn’t know before today, probably explains why I had a hard time finding it. So even though she’s glossy and a bit out of place, I’d never part with her! Though let’s be honest I’d never part with any because I’m an emotional sap

Then this is my Red Rum model, released in 2005 as a UK exclusive on the Lonesome Glory mould. I was too lazy to take his tack off, plus it looks kinda nice. He’s in pretty good condition considering he’s been in a box for years. I’m sure he was one of the last ones I got despite only running until 2007, but my dad bought him for me and might have gotten him off ebay or somewhere.

And then the one that got me back into Breyer collecting! I got this guy on ebay a few months ago for super cheap with only a few flaws. He’s the Smarty Jones model released in 2004, this version is Frankel which is actually fairly recent, ran from 2014-2015. I personally have named him Fortune Favours the Bold (Fortune for short) and am waiting on a custom headcollar for him!

My most recent addition is this Shire, who just arrived yesterday and I’m in love! This is my most modern model, the mould only started in 2016 and this version came out in 2018 and is still on sale. He’s beautiful and I’m still trying to come up with a name.

Babies! I only have two babies. This is one I had as a kid, the mould itself is one of my oldest from 1969, this particular version is called Creamsicle and ran from 2008 to 2010. He’s so adorable I love him

My second baby is on the 1980 Sea Star mould, this particular one doesn’t have a name and was released in 2010. He’s tiny with wibbly legs. Too adorable.

Those are all traditional 1:9 scale models. I have a single Classic (1:12 scale) that I got for Christmas this year, my boyfriend’s daughter has named him Teddy. He’s a chestnut quarter horse. Super pretty and now an excuse for me to collect Classics as well!

My stablemates, the smallest models at 1:24 scale. I had a lot of these as a kid because they were small so obviously cheaper. Several foals are missing and I also have another black and white mare who got broken by the cat last month :( There’s a fleabitten grey thoroughbred and a palomino stock horse.

And then their babies! I had 5 babies including an adorable appaloosa foal but these are the only ones I can find now. A bay and a dun.

And finally, my two only non Breyer horses, my Schleichs who I bought recently. The appaloosa is called Sugar Mice and the shire is called Cocoa Beans. They may not fit with the others but they’re cute.

That’s all I have so far. Next on my list is Stingray who hasn’t been released yet! And my all time favourite is Out of the Blue, a blue roan, but he’s only just been released as a premium collector’s club horse so I’ll probably have to wait a while to get my hands on him, and when people do start selling him on he’ll likely be very expensive.
