Owner

Babs Costanzo and her husband, Cuyler, own the Bio-One of Akron. Babs is a life-long resident of the Akron area. She started her career in television news, anchoring and reporting stories throughout Northeast Ohio. One story stayed with her. A grieving mother had no one to turn to for help after the coroner took her daughter away. Years later, the unthinkable happened to a friend, who also was left alone in the house after the passing of her child and couldn’t bring herself to enter the room where the tragedy occurred. Babs recognized a desperate need to help people during their darkest times. She and Cuyler both have a caring nature and hope the services they provide can provide the first step to healing. Cuyler graduated from The University of Akron, where he holds a master's degree in Education- Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Cuyler is active in his community where serves on the board of directors for a local women's shelter. Cuyler has a passion for helping others in need and serving his community. Cuyler and his wife, Babs, have 5 children and are active members in their church.

He has a beautiful wife, Ashley, and 3 growing girls, who would rather be in the mountains or on the river than in school! Dr. Richard Weinblatt, a retired police chief, is the owner of seven successful Bio-One offices: Bio-One NW Indianapolis (central Indiana area), Bio-One Scottsdale and Bio-One Glendale (Phoenix area), Bio-One Flagstaff (Northern Arizona area), Bio-One Fort Myers (Southwest Florida area), Bio-One Reno (Northern Nevada area), and Bio-One Baton Rouge (Southern Louisiana area). With a multiple decade background in law enforcement and business, Richard and his team are uniquely qualified to bring expertise, empathy, and compassion to families and organizations that have experienced tragedy and crisis. Richard's policing and business experience is extensive and includes serving as a Deputy Sheriff on the Mexican border in the State of New Mexico, police captain in Indiana, and as a city Police Chief in North Carolina, as well as the past owner of a public relations firm, as a Police Academy Instructor and Director, and as a Federal District Court certified law enforcement expert witness and consultant. Other work in colleges includes as a Criminal Justice Professor, Dean, and Vice Chancellor. Richard earned a Doctor of Educational Leadership, two masters degrees- Master of Public Administration Criminal Justice (MPA/CJ) and Master of Business Administration (MBA), a bachelor's in Administration of Justice, and two associates degrees- Associate of Science in Homeland Security Emergency Management (AS) and an Associate of Applied Science in Public Safety (AAS). He has earned numerous public safety certifications over the years including in Hazardous Materials, Fire Service Administration, Taser Instructor, Florida Police Firearms, Defensive Tactics, and Vehicle Operations Instructor, and Indiana Primary Law Enforcement Instructor. Bio-One dovetails Richard's extensive law enforcement and business experience, education, and training with his desire to help the community.

Marc Garber, owner of Bio-One of Richmond, is a ninth-generation Virginian and father of three. Marc was born in Richmond and raised in Roanoke and Northern Virginia before returning to Richmond in 2002. Marc holds degrees from Radford University and George Mason University School of Law. With 20 years of experience working in healthcare, and 4 years of bio-hazard & hoarding experience, Marc is passionate about helping fellow Virginians in their time of need and contributing to the local community. He is an alumni of the Chesterfield Police Citizens Academy, and Hanover County Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT). Upon leaving college, Jason had a successful 20-year corporate business career working closely with some of the largest service & retail industry companies in the world. Along with his wife, Jamie, they re-located to California in 2011 to be closer to their family and friends. Gary and Armelle Maxey are the owners of Bio-One Savannah. Gary and Armelle both grew up in various parts of the country and Gary served in the United States Army. He graduated from Grand Valley State University with a dual degree in Business Admin and City and Regional Planning. Armelle graduated with a degree in Health Information Management. Their years of experience and expertise are exhibited when they and their team help in restoring a client's properties to their original condition in a professional and compassionate manner. Their combined 41 years of Hospice work is an example of their passion for helping others and serving those in the community. Gary and Armelle have been married for 15 years and enjoy spending time with their children and traveling, especially in the Caribbean and Costa Rica. I've worked in a variety of roles big and small, and always had the desire to open my own business to put all the things I've learned to work in a bigger capacity for me and my family. For the last decade I've been very involved in the community through the various corporate roles I've held. The fact that Bio-One is very much "Help First, Business Second" excited me from the early talks I had about joining the team, and I'm excited and honored to be involved in the community to help make a difference!

Justin Turley

Owner

Justin Turley is the owner of Bio-One of Idaho Falls. Justin grew up in Twin Falls, ID, where he received an Associate's degree from the College of Southern Idaho, and was also on the basketball team there. He received a Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University - Idaho, in healthcare administration. He has started up multiple other businesses starting at the age of 22, and will put these skills to use helping people in the Southern Idaho area restore their properties back to prime condition. Justin and his wife, Katrina, have three children together, and enjoy fulfilling callings in their church

John and Joe Zapata

Owners

John Zapata is a distinguished veteran who served his country with honor, transitioning into a dedicated career as a firefighter. Combining his military experience with his commitment to public service, John exemplifies resilience, discipline, and a strong sense of duty. As a former firefighter, he demonstrated bravery and selflessness in the face of danger, protecting lives and property with unwavering dedication. Now, applying his skills and expertise to biohazard remediation, John continues to serve his community by ensuring safety and mitigating risks posed by hazardous materials. With certifications in OSHA and specialized training in fentanyl remediation, he remains at the forefront of safety protocols, embodying a "people first" mentality to safeguard both his team and the public. John Zapata's remarkable journey from military service to firefighting to biohazard remediation reflects his enduring commitment to serving others and making a positive impact wherever he goes.

As Co-owner of Bio-One El Paso, Joe Zapata Jr is a U.S. Veteran that has approximately 12 years of Federal Service combined serving 6 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and 6 in the Department of Veterans Affairs Police from April 2005 to May 2011. His duty stations include Port Townsend, WA mainly conducting Search and Rescue Operations, Drug Interdiction, Fisheries and Migrant Operations. He attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Charleston, South Carolina to attend Boarding Team Member School. He then accepted orders to the Maritime Safety and Security Team San Francisco (MSST 91105) where he spent 3 years. Operations consisted of Maritime Law Enforcement, Tactical Boat Operations, Military Off Loads and serving as a K-9 cover officer. Last year of his Coast Guard career was spent in Dubuque, Iowa on a Bouy Tender working on navigational aids along and on the Mississippi River from Savanah, IL to Saint Paul, MN.

In 2011 was honorably discharged and joined the Department of Veterans Affairs Police in 2016. During his time with the El Paso VA Police Mr. Zapata obtained certifications as a Firearms Instructor, Ground Defense and Recovery Instructor and Executive Protection. After 6 years with El Paso VA Police, he accepted a promotion as a special agent at the Law Enforcement Training Center (LETC) in Little Rock, Arkansas where he was attached to the Technical Division Firearms Section. He then resigned in March of 2023 to pursue entrepreneurship. His Coast Guard values Honor, Respect and Devotion to Duty is the corner stone of who he is. Integrity and dedication to serving his community is what drives him to continue to provide necessary services to the community when in need. As a U.S Veteran and former first responder he brings experience in dealing with the public in high stress situations, leadership in making sure the team is guided in the right direction to execute and accomplish the goal of the project correctly.
