Hey a guy stop talking to me because I’m almost a 20 year old woman who doesn’t have a job at the moment and told me it will be so embarrassing to date some who doesn’t have a job and now I feel so ashamed of myself and sad I’m trying my best here. Is it really that embarrassing? 😭

No. Especially because we're in a fucking pandemic and its hard for folks to get jobs anyway. I dont know exactly your situation and why you dont have a job but as long as you're somewhere safe with a roof over your head and a good support system...then??? I would say you could try to get a job because it may be harder later on to get a job with no experience but again i dont know your circumstances. Maybe you dont have a job because you take care of family, maybe because of school, who knows?

What I *do* know is someone breaking up with you for not having a job and calling it embarrassing is really fucking rude. I can see breaking up with someone who's constantly using up your money and just getting tired of it if they dont have a job to support themselves ever but again(x3) i dont know your full situation.

From what im seeing, it might be for the better that yall are separate. At the end of the day you need to do whats best for you and your mental and emotional health and if this is a big point of conflict here in your relationship then its best you're apart, I guess.

But as for the question, is not having a job "embarrassing"..no. no its not. In my opinion its only embarrassing if you're constantly asking other people for money and arent even remotely trying to get your own income flow. Otherwise, no not at all.
