COZY AUTUMN DAYS - a Fall Tour

I love autumn.  Autumn is a colorful, cozy and nostalgic time for me. The smell of burning leaves in the late afternoon.  The crisp cool air while a bright sun in a clear sky shines on the purple-red leaves of a maple tree,  The smell of warm golden doughnuts wafting out of the kitchen. Halloween. Seeing your breath in the air at night. Autumn is golden, hazy, warm and melodic. To celebrate autumn, I decided to explore some of ways builders and creators in SL have added autumn-oriented products into our regular interior decor. Fall has come. Winter is coming!  But first, let’s explore Autumn interiors in SL.

Nothing says Fall like Food.  Pumpkin pie, hot green tea and fall fruit like apples, all by JIAN. Using food on your table in SL can be a great way to represent Autumn. This cute little treehouse kitchen below is so inviting too!  This lovely retreat was creatively put together as one package by Trompe Loeil - Antique Crate Decor.  Trompe Loeil could be your perfect autmun "go to" for a cute prefab cabin, tree house or cottage, fit for Fall!

Next up, let’s discuss #textures.  What kind of textures in a home interior speak to you of fall? Warm wood textures, like Maple, Walnut, Cherry and perhaps White Oak come to mind for me.  A warm wood texture on the wall of a house, cottage or forest lodge can get you in the Fall frame of mind.  There are many available, in both prefab homes as well as individually.

This beautiful log-cabin home kitchen below, with ornate wooden cabinetry, can be seen in one of the many fine builds by Potomac Signature Homes.  This builder uses the natural beauty of wood, sometimes combined with stone, to create rustic country homes that are perfect for Autumn living.

How about a cozy couch and a cup of Pumpkin Spice chai tea?  I stopped in at a friend’s villa on a brisk autumn day.  She had a warm fire going in the fire place too. Couch is the [vandelo] Chelsea Couch, and has poses to help get you comfy on a fall afternoon.  That warm crackling fire you see in the photo is Fireplace # 1, Yellow Rose, and you can turn the sound on or off, as you please.

An inexpensive way to dress up your home for fall is using pictures.  SL is full of festive and fun artwork that you can hang on your walls to give your living space a Fall feel.  My visit to one of the Halloween Sims, Halloween Delights, at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Amazing%20Island/132/169/1657  introduced me to some of the choices available. These pictures go from $49L to $99L.  This same SIM also sells a number of other Fall-oriented items, including welcome rugs, candles, wreaths and posters. Back Stories...Ideas

I'm still working out the ideas but I can share what I have & thinking of. One of my followers suggested using SecondLife? Or that's where they made theirs. Wonder Vixen's real name is Amelia Kaiser. She's haft German on her father's side. She never knew him. Was raised by her mom is America. She's never been confident in her looks. She use to cubby growing but her love of wrestling lead her to working out in the gym. By 18 she lost most of the weight & gained a supermodel body. While she dreamed of being a WWE superstar, her real passion was fashion designer. While in college she discovers an unusual looking object. While investigating, the object attaches itself to her neck & begins choking her. As she falls to her knees believing she's about to die, a rush of energy hits her body. It's no longer choking her. She feels a sensation course through her body as the object bonds with her DNA & morphs into a choker. Over the next few weeks Amelia discovers that this mysterious choker has gifted her with unique abilities & alters it's appearance to match Amelia's outfit. She could only imagine that this choker came from another world. She nicknamed it "Alien Wear". Since she was chosen by this Alien Wear, she felt it was only right to use her powers to help others. She crafts her own unique outfit along with a domino mask. She also takes up self defense classes & archery as a starting point for her future as a superheroine. Wonder Vixen is the most powerful superheroine to appear in this Vix-Universe so far. Unknown to Vixen, the Alien Wear was secretly being studied by an organization called Omega. The leader on the project is an mysterious women known as Shada. Her look is influenced by Abby of NCIS but evil. She's obsessed with the object. It becomes worse once someone steals it. Once Wonder Vixen has started making waves, she senses something familiar. This intrigue leads Shada on a desire to capture Wonder Vixen alive & learn her secrets because she's the key to unlocking the mystery of the alien wear. Shada has her own secrets of who she is in the public eye & who she really is... I also ended up thinking of a supervillain G.I. Payne. John Rambo meets Bane. Unknown drug gave him super strength but had major effects on his psyche. After being left for dead by his superiors he went into a rage. Hunting down his superiors & murdered them. Then found everyone who knew about the secret drug & murdered them as well. An expert killer with no allegiance to anyone. At least 3 superheroines have died at his hands. He enjoys breaking them down & making them suffer. They usually beg for death before breaking them into submission. The last one admitted defeated. Offered her body & undying service & loyalty. He only consider it to give her hope. Seconds before snapping her neck he kills her last hope. She was also the last known superheroine before Wonder Vixen, who came over a decade later. Lady Minx is a theift who steals a belt that gives her powers. This belt however makes her vagina extra sensitive. Low blows effect her more than others & if you are able to grab her by the vagina, she'll be rendered powerless & her body will stop in place leaving her open for attacks. Men aren't content with defeating her &/or killing her. They instead have this urge to dominant her & make her their sexual conquest. This is their downfall as having sex with Minx drains them of their energy & powers. Allowing Minx who has absorb their energy/power, to defeat them easily & send them to jail. A villainess (haven't given her a name or character yet) figures out Minx's secret weapon & believes it'll have no effect on women. it doesn't. So when Minx is captured she is sexually tortured repeated by this villainess & her henchwomen. Over time Minx gives in to their desires & turns to the dark side. Using sex as a weapon against male victims & any male superheroes they might be.

“Christmas is not so much about opening presents, as opening our hearts!” – Christmas Interior Scene – Ft. *Brook Hill Living & SAYO

G’day my joyful spirited supporters! A month for festive celebration, to unite with one another, whether it’s camping around the fire singing Christmas carol music to watching the Irish dancing on television.. Or filling up the house with a fresh ginger spice homemade biscuits, luring around the home. Cheerful kids full of laughter. popping open a bottle of bubbly sparkle, cracking bonbon’s around the dining table with family, friends, loved ones, including the pets..

Then you have me sitting at home with a dream of being on a holiday in Hawaii, *Takes a photo of my two fingers on a beach* "Life Hack" lol xx – No, guys.. I’m just kidding. I do have some special things happening in my life right now (excluding a tooth ache.) Hard work pays off I reckon, and theirs a few special people who’ve really been the back-bone for me. They know who they are. I don’t know how to say it, or what to say. But I will always thank these people for seeking some light into my SL. They’ve really expanded the opportunities & doorways & I just can’t thank them enough. My dream came true & now it’s time to shine.

Rightyo! So I really wanted to upload something by the 1st of December, like a warm up Christmas scene alongside many others which’re in my mind to soon become reality. I absolutely wanted to get my butt into the ‘Arcade Gacha’ & get a few products for my scene but no luck getting in, however I did find some pieces that were being re-sold on Market Place so I bought them & it was exactly what I wanted too, like only 3 items but I was drooling over them on the Flickr photo’s Id seen from a few good friends of mine who blog for the Arcade.

I love lights (I have something in plan, can you guess?) LED, environmentally friendly, officiant for our surroundings, heat proof & "friendly" for children & pets. So I incorporated some lights which’re from both *Brook Hill Living & SAYO, If you look up to the far right, around the deer head (Thank god it’s not real) I have put together a few wreathes, from Commoner, Apple Fall, SAYO & *Brook Hill Living. And at the very bottom left I do have some tea-pots in my favorite colour ‘Red’ which’re from *Brook Hill Living & they’re available at Cross-Roads with many other colour variations/ other items included too, same applies with the SAYO set. I seriously thought about cheesing out and just putting in pictures and the links you’d need … and then ask y’all to write the story for the pics!  But then, a guilty conscience popped up … well, that and I figured no one would do it anyway!  It’s actually a simple story – I got up early and slipped on a satiny robe over sexy, lacy undies, Fall’s Attraction outfit from Changed Seasons (Twe12ve November) and a pair of sassy boots, Althea, from {LP} (The Jerky Turkey hunt 8 [TJTH8]).  I love how I look so much, I take a selfie thanks to My Selfi-Poses Tiezzi (Twe12ve Nov.).   My hair is thanks to .EscalateD., Caddie (Black Friday Bazaar [BFB]) and isn’t it totes adorable?  My nails are just too elegant, thanks to PS…Nails Elegant Marble manicure (BFB); I so adore this manicure!  My cheeks have a sweet blush heart from Sweet Evil (TJTH8) and I am wearing the cutest headband and earrings from *De’Fient Unicorn* in yellow and orange fall colors (TJTH8).  I love a little bit of whimsy from my accessories!  As I slip off my robe, the crow tattoo from Lush is exposed – I adore how this tattoo makes me look bad-azz and yet classy, the arms looking like henna drawings and even a quote on my left (Twe12ve Nov.)!  I then slip off my boots and step into The Love Tub from Chalupa Digs (TJTH8).  (And yes, I know I am wearing my lingerie).  I love a deep tub I can soak in and the lights and wall make it perfect for my less-than-private bedroom.  I think about my day ahead as I soak away all my cares and get myself geared up for a new day.

Professor Wolfe was unable to make it over to the Campus for Art Class this past Monday.  Something about a house falling on him unexpectedly, I think he said.  Anyway…. I was told there would be a Satyr or I need a Satyr or maybe he just said…  “Hey Chance, I think Satyrs are really cool.”   Anyway, I set about building a fun Satyr’s Lair set, so we could study one in its native environment.  Oh, I did a bit of light research too….. Ummm, rather, I had a Freshman do some light research for me while I was busy building…..

Satyrs are ethereal, wild, impulsive creatures. They are fearless, carnal, lustful beings full of abandon. Always on the hunt for fun, amorous adventure, revelry and fun Satyrs wander large territories in pursuit of pleasure and all of its varied forms.  The beguiling gaze of a Satyr is filled with a sultry, soul piercing fire that induces unbound and unbridled desire for the ethereal being.  This is an intoxicating gaze that subdues inhibitions, relinquishes taboos drawing other in beings with a powerful aura of allure, an implied promise of wild, carnal, sexual acts fulfilled. The target of the Satyr’s gaze is entrapped and overpowered with implicit promises of danger, erotic mystery and enticement.

Creatures as ancient as time itself, Satyrs consort with gods, mortals, denizens of the faerie realm.  They nurture and protect the male fertility cycle, bedding gods, goddess, nymphs, fair maidens and handsome men alike.  These wild and enticing creatures, when they are seen, are lithe, graceful, muscular and masculine beings. Satyrs are often dancing to an unheard tribal beat of their own conjuring, or they are running, prancing, jumping leaping in a fluid, powerful, poetic state of constant unearthly graceful and majestic acrobatic motion. 

When roaming in the manner Satyrs are often sighted sporting hard, throbbing constant erections that match their state of sheer carefree exhilaration and happiness.  A translucent, golden honey like trail of pre-cum steadily flows from their rampant, rock-hard, throbbing cocks as the Satyr roams, looking for a suitably attractive, durable and fertile “playmate”.  Few mortals can resist this exotic, display of unbridled seduction, this erotic dance of sensual promise.…..  Or so ancient myth, stories and songs of old convey.

With Satyr’s Lair I sought to convey a magical, mystical, mesmerizing scene for the art class to enjoy. Rather than having 3 models for the class I had only one, the stunningly handsome, virile, and god-like visage that is Micah in his Satyr form.  He really embodied the qualities attributed to these marvelously handsome, rare beings.  A visage that appeals to all.

I managed to get loads of great shots and am very happy with the result.  Suly showed up just as the last of us were leaving and asked that I leave the set out for a follow-up photo shoot, with multiple models.  We did that shoot 10-03-2017, Tuesday.  And I am happy to say I got a wide array of great shots again.  I’ve included most of the  photos from both photo sets here

Man, how I wish I had blogged this on Tuesday – it could have been a two-fer Tuesday!  But it’s still awesome fun and great value!  So, let’s see what all is on the awesome-ness menu:

First of all is The Jerky Turkey Hunt 8, from Evil Bunny Productions, that runs from Nov. 3 – 30.  This hunt highlights the US Thanksgiving holiday that occurs in November.  This holiday used to mean celebrating our blessings and giving thanks for them; these days, though, it mostly means stuffing yourself to the bursting point and then snoring in front of the TV while some football teams bash each other.  But hey, we can still get a fantastic hunt, thanks be for that!  And all the amazing, fantabulous stuff you can get!  I’m wearing !!Firelight!! Today, folks, we’re going to enter a dimension of sound, of sight, and of mind, a dimension of imagination* …  Two stories to entertain you as we approach the day honoring spookiness and oddities, Halloween.

To this day, she doesn’t know if she was dreaming or actually in this world of impossibilities.  All she knows is that she was entering her apartment, or at least thought she was.  Of course, her apartment never was that big as it was that – day?  And it had had four walls and flooring.  But not that time.  She walked into her place to find prints in frames (from DCKM) hovering at impossible angles all around her.  She was dressed in an outfit from {KT}, a sexy dress with shoes, makeups and nail polish.  Yes, she seemed to remember, she had been out somewhere, she just couldn’t remember where.  “I must have really hit the bar hard,” she murmured to herself as she approached a Celtic vanity from JTDD. She looked in the mirror and gasped – she was wearing a different dress from Applique Chic, a lovely skull corset dress!  She sat down heavily onto the stool.  What was going on?  She tried to make herself wake up but couldn’t.  “Oh, this has got to be from too much to drink!” she thought as she stood up and looked around.  Surely there would be an exit … wouldn’t there?

A coffin from Khargo with candles and a skeleton caught her eye and she wandered over to it.  She felt something shift near her shoulder blades and turned her head to see the tips of bony wings; her dress again warped to Changed Season’s Twisted Alice outfit, with wings, hat, necklace, earrings and gown.  She looked down at her feet and almost screamed as she saw pillows near her feet, leaning against the coffin – one had written in blood on it “RIP.”  She squeezed her eyes tightly.  “No, no, no, this is not real!” she moaned out and turned from the coffin to nearly collide with a cauldron, also from Khargo.  This cauldron steamed as a raven and a rather tall woman with a skull in her hands just watched it.  She stumbled away from the eerie sight and sank down on a flamingo, her hair also inexplicably changing to no_match’s NO_WONDERLAND hair in blonde.  She shook her head, bemused for just a second.  “I guess only Alice would be in such a strange world as this!” she thought.  But this was getting very old!  And then to see a chair and lamp from The Dark Fae hanging in the air, the chair almost upside down …. ! She shook her head rapidly.  “Make it stop!” she cried out and she suddenly couldn’t see – a sleep mask from Lush was covering her eyes.  (I think it was good she couldn’t see what was stitched on it!)  She reached to yank it off – right now not being able to see was even scarier than the sights she was seeing – but it vanished on its own to reveal a purple chair, also from The Dark Fae, hovering at another impossible angle.  “What else could go wrong?” she cried out as a room from Something New – and no, she never did figure out how a room got into another room – pulled her in, and she found herself in a bizarre pose and dressed in another dress, this one more reminiscent of the Disney Alice, the Mad Alice Mini from Little 2 Large.

From there, she just materialized into another room from Something New … it made it look as if she were reaching into one picture on the wall while a teapot poured tea out of another picture on top.  “This is ridiculous!” she thought to herself.  “I certainly hope this is a dream; I don’t fancy living like this forever!”  Just as she was thinking that, her dress changed to the Mad Bad Alice dress, complete with red splatters, and she was doing trick riding on an upside-down horse from Something New with The Dark Fae’s spooky backdrop to provide just the right scare.  At this point, she was wondering just when it all WOULD end!

She did pause to wonder at what seemed to be a circus caravan, pulled by two elephants and illuminated by a floating hot air lamp, both from ~ASW~, going up into thin air.  She shook her head and saw a circus car from ~ASW~ that hadn’t been taken away with the others, Curious, she strolled up to it – and suddenly found herself inside the cage!  She slumped down, sighing in defeat.  “I’m tired of this – let me out!” she called, meaning the whole dream (if it was one), but the cage released her abruptly, revealing she had changed clothing yet again, into [AF]’s Ivy Dress DarkWeb.  By now, she was just numb to all of it.  She trudged over to ~ASW~’s Carnival Ride and flopped onto the seat, her head in her hands and elbows on her knees.  “I hope this all goes away soon,” she sighed in defeat as everything faded to black ….

What a wonderfully spooky tale! Hope she does find her way out of the maze … poor girl!  But here’s a more heart-warming story about a little witch, trying to find her forever home …

It was a dark and gloomy night; the sky looked washed in a dreary green and black clouds scudded across the sky.  The little witch approached this next house carefully; it looked a lot like the Mildread’s Mansion from Dragon Magick she’d been sent to find, but so did the twenty others she’d seen so far!  She did notice that the outside was decorated with a candy dish from Khargo – a pumpkin on two hands coming out of the ground – and she smiled.  The rest of the yard was festooned with jack-o-lanterns and a pumpkin garland from LIVID and an altar, spider tree and wheelbarrow from Khargo.  She nodded approvingly – spooky, but not so much that children would be chased away.  She so hoped this house was the one!

She walked into the house, her adorable braids, courtesy of Sn@tch’s Wednesday Hair, bouncing on her shoulders and her Presley dress and Esme witch’s hat, from {Momoko}, flapping with every bounce as well.  Her nails were painted in a Halloween-colored webbed chevron pattern from Dark Passions and her hand held a cleaver, properly bloodied, from :Z.S:.  After all, a girl can’t be too prepared!  She shone her flashlight around and caught a couple of halloween wall tattoos (from Khargo) decorating the wall.  She smirked, “Boo and Happy Halloween!  What a nice way to be welcomed!”  Her eye caught a pentacle rug and two chairs (from Squishy Fluff) and then a wall with framed pictures of familiars from Oubilette and a wall sconce from Dragon Magick.  “Oh, very nice!” she said, falling in love more and more with this house.

As she twirled around, she saw the :Z.S: Pendulum Crystal holder by the door and then the ::OOPS:: Cross Wall opposite, near a hallway.  The cross glowed and she somehow knew – the house had accepted her!  This WAS her home, to live in, to play in, to tempt children in … and children made such delicious snacks!  She put on her ::OOPS:: Arachnid Strap and set out her -Extra- Into the Nether Conjuring set.  As four of the black candles floated about her, she lit the fifth one and began the chanting that would meld her powers into the house and decor, making it such a popular stop for the children this Halloween … !

When I saw this meme quote, I just HAD to have it as the title of this blog post for Evil Bunny Productions (EBP) – although the group tag is “I’m EVIL!”  But I prefer to think of it as “fabulous with a twist!”

The Mad Circus 4 is the next event, and I can’t even tell you how chock-full of amazing stuff this event is!  I put together La Bella Boutique {LBB} Salem Witch outfit, GO Precious Purple Lipstick Makeup05, AppleTini SparkleBoo nail art, The Little Bat (!TLB) Hellfire eyes and Image Essentials (IE) The Marionette set (and I added in Truth’s VIP hair Batty) into a story about a scary circus in a spooky, foggy field, and at the very edge of the circus, a huge marionette stage with a live girl as the marionette.  Her gorgeous dress, lightly tinted lips, sparkly nails and glowing purple eyes hold everyone enthralled … but is that tears glossing her eyes?  No one will ever know, though – she dances on her ropes as if she is thrilled to be there.

And of course, who can resist a hunt – especially one with so many great items for you to find!  The Boo! Bunny Hunt is a ton of fun, with stunning gifts for you to find from many many talented designers that will add a lot of haunting fun to your decor and clothing fashion!  You can see from my place how it’s all looking cozy … well, ok, maybe not so cozy … but definitely in the Halloween spirit!  After I placed MOoH’s Floating Ghosties out, I had to try and listen to see if I can hear them moan, wearing Firelight’s Hubble hair in light brown (it also comes in dark brown too!) and Hope’s Creations [HC] Satine dress – an orange top and black skirt combo that’s really cute!  But then it gets a bit spookier …  I mean, I do put out Inner Demons {ID} Halloween Fence black and LOoLOo & Platypus (L&P) double-sided Fall Halloween decor (which I really love – it looks good coming and going!), which doesn’t look so sinister.  And I put out Salacity’s Fall Apples Throw Rug, to welcome my guests, and Dreamscapes Art Gallery Pumpkin Owl Tree Stump while wearing EscalateD Blair hair and Changed Seasons’ Too Cute to Spook outfit of leggings, hoodie and bodysuit …just don’t pay any attention to the Cranked Hallo Kitty Axe!  Makes you wonder why I’m inviting you all in, huh?  Oh, and then, while wearing Grumble’s Came to Slay t-shirt and garter skirt outfit (and paired with Sn@tch’s VIP Riley hair – I mean, how can you not pair the hat and t-shirt??), I stir the cauldron and put out the side table and treats from Little 2 Large (L2L) – just don’t look toooooo carefully at them if you like bunnies!  Hmmmm … maybe not so innocent … !  Especially when apparently Lush’s Electricity pose sends me pole-axed to the ground!
