There weren't too many wet days this past month; but every time the skies would roll out grey and dull, I'd listen to September In The Rain! I truly believe there is an Oscar Peterson song to fit any variation of my moods!

I rang Ava early this morning and played Oscar Peterson's I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm in lieu of Happy Birthday!Although, technically, physically; I don't. We're at the moment on different continents, and often, we're not even on the same day. But we've got each other, and we're happy; and that, I believe, does keep us warm, alright!

A Foggy Day, indeed, both literally and because I miss my girl --who was here with me only yesterday-- terribly. Oscar Peterson can always soothe me, tough...

I wish you all a very Happy Easter, and if you need to lounge a bit after a generous family meal, may I suggest Oscar Peterson, and his magical fingers, playing Easter Parade!

One of my favourite ways to unwind on Friday evenings is to listen to the maestro himself, Oscar Peterson. I always find his virtuosity absolutely entrancing, especially on rousing tunes like Moten Swing! This, and a cocktail, is just perfection.

I am starting to put on the Christmas lights in the front garden today --in below-zero weather; that’s how dedicated I am!-- and so I’m also starting to listening to seasonal tunes, especially this beautiful version of I’ll Be Home For Christmas, played by my favorite pianist, Oscar Peterson!

Last night, after dinner, Mum and I took a stroll under a starry sky in Deauville. It had been a wonderful day, motoring on quiet and sunny roads, settling in our rental and spending the afternoon at the beach, swimming in the cool Channel Sea, and sipping cocktails as the sun set... And that excellent dinner. I laid on my bed listening to Oscar Peterson play In The Still Of The Night, the street so silent, the sound of the waves came up my window, muffled; but there. Even if it is raining thoroughly today, I am loving this holiday!

A few Nuages (clouds) over the garden today, but we still grilled delicious ribs, corn and sweet potatoes on the barbecue, and I am leisurely listening to Oscar Peterson beautifully play! Happy Sunday, friends!

When I think that last Sunday, only last Sunday, I woke up with my girl in my arms, it hurts a bit. Because today, I'm back home and she isn't here, and I'm still jet-lagged, and I caught a cold and I miss her heaps. I miss her terribly, for I do love her madly. But when I remember the joy I felt, waking beside her a week ago, watching the sun rise from our balcony as she leaned into my embrace, spending a wonderful Easter Day in her delightful company, and when I listen to Oscar play Love You Madly, I feel absolutely lucky!

Sometimes, when the sun is out, even on a chill April day, and I have my hands in garden soil and I'm sowing what I hope will grow into gorgeous flowers and delicious vegetables, and I read a book, and I lounge a bit and listen to my favorite pianist, it seems easy to be happy! Thus, I encourage you to do things that bring you joy, and perhaps listen to Oscar Peterson play Sometimes I'm Happy, too!
