Well, let's dust off this old Tumblr and get some things rolling again.

Any newcomers who might stumble upon this, I'm RandoChris. Fighting game enthusiast, hopeless Blaze fanatic, struggling moneymaker. I've essentially abandoned my Tumblr a few years ago and in that intervening time, I've hopped back on the Sonic fanwagon. It started with this image I got as a joke from @fini-mun.

The wolf getting vibe checked is Chris Hayabusa. My first OC who was also a Sonic fancharacter. His design was much different than now and over time, he became less and less tied to the Sonic canon, to the point of dumping it all and putting him in his own universe. Then one day, I commissioned Finimun to draw the above image and something clicked inside of me. With the years of experience I now had compared to way back in high school, I felt like I could really do something with my boy. So while the anthro/furry Chris still has his own world and cast of characters, I wanted to see what I can do this time.

With that said, I'm going to begin writing a story for "Sanky" Chris (Sanky being a term I'm stealing from Chris Zito) I'm not going to neglect the original world I've made for my OCs and put all my eggs in the Sonic fandom basket but I really want to get back into writing.

The above lineart of Chris by himself was done by the awesome @spiritsonic that I colored. There's quite a few pieces of art of Sanky Chris that I'll post later! Dunno where I'll host the chapters I post (maybe AO3) but for right now, let's get typin'!

Yeah, if you look closely, it would appear that her other pupil there is actually a strand of hair over her eye that got colored blue accidentally

if the program you use has an autosave feature (which at this point all of the art programs should have as a basic standard, humph) Abuse the heck outta that thing. Saved my butt with PS CS6 at work so much, gotta find a way to get it for home too.

Huh, so CS6 has an auto-save? I’ve been using CS5 for... Jesus, how long has it been? Well over a decade. I never bothered with CS6 cuz I always figured there wasn’t much point in it

...

OH DUDE, okay so I just went googling and I found this add-on to allow auto-saving in CS5. I’m gonna try this out

i wasn't aware of that but i'm definitely not surprised

in order to make the ugly hyper-realism of the day fit on sonic, they had to change him drastically, and the options they picked to try and force a cartoon character to look “realistic” (more detailed anatomy, round separated eyes) are the same ones penders use[d/s] to try and make himself look competent at art

i don't understand why the roger rabbit approach isn't used more often, because it worked just fine and it's the only way we would've gotten a tolerable sonic

https://picarto.tv/deebsdraws Commission stream- today is the first day of increased pricing (from 1 dollar a minute to 1.33) to keep up with inflation- I haven't altered/raised my prices since I first began doing this years ago, and I finally need to buckle on that.  For those that have/are signing up for March sign-ups, the old pricing will be honored, but next month sign ups will also shift to new pricing. Thank you for understanding.
