Ok so Henry absorbs everything about a person when he kills which is why even though they revived max she's still not there, because she's with him. So when he killed Will in s1 and HE was revived part of him is still with Henry OR part of Henry is still with Will (like a horcrux) which is how the mindflayer kept finding him when Will crossed over to the upside down when he had his "episodes" even though Will is good at hiding because Henry could sense him and it's also the reason Will can sense HIM. He knew exactly what the "mindflayer" wanted and it was to kill everyone BUT WILL. Henry wants Will alive which is why he didn't keep his mind when he killed him but he still killed him. Will was the FIRST sacrifice which is why it all meets at the library where he died. This is also, I feel, how they're going to get max back. Because Will could be able to get into his mind the way he got into Wills, he could find her and set her free.

okay so if i’m understanding correctly… el has the power of opening gates, henry didn’t until season 3 when he stole el’s powers that then el had to get back on her own through that first memory of henry. right? or am i lost here?

I feel like we gloss over the fact that Henry talked to El about holding up a mirror to his parents to show what they were truly like

and in the same scene El tells him he tricked her, they aren't worth more than others then proceeds to throw him into a mirror, then through it

Idk it seems very likely to me he is her biological father. The way he talks to her? "...You were born. And I'm so, so glad you were, Eleven." His age matches. The double 1 on her arm. Henry's "Join me" and the blatant Empire Strikes Back theme surrounding El especially during this season? I'd be willing to bet on it.

Not that it matters ultimately regarding where El's storyline is heading, which includes found family as home (and hopefully her mother) but she always wished to be wanted. Season 2 makes it clear. And supposing this idea is right, that would be the only thing we've seen Henry get right.

thinking about uuuuh tfs alice saying "you're not henry" followed by henry telling her to "run" vs thinking about the christmas lights telling joyce to "run" in s1 when she asked what she should do

i don't have the full context for the scene in tfs, so idk if the "run" is more of a threat or if it could be interpreted as henry breaking through the hold the shadow has on him in order to tell alice to run and get away from him to be safe (which tracks with a lot of other stuff henry said in tfs irt telling people to stay away from him so they won't get hurt)

and so i'm here like. okay more proof that it was a henry talking to joyce thru the lights to try and help her and will?
