Your eyes are like warm pools of chocolate, I could drown in them and still be filled with love. Your lips taste sweet too as they form kind words and you kiss me softly.

You smile at me, the way you smile is just for me, I can’t stop looking at your eyes no matter what else you do or say. I’m a sucker for that smile but I know it won’t last so I want to spend every moment I have with you.

We’re sitting under the shade of an old oak tree, we’re both watching the clouds as they float by slowly.

You lean over and kiss my cheek before saying, “Do you remember the first time we kissed?” My breath hitches in my throat, I can’t get enough air into my lungs, I need to say something but I don’t think my voice will come out, I feel tears threatening to spill from my eyes because I can’t speak, my heart pounds against my rib cage.

It seems like forever until I regain some sense of control over myself then I reply, “Yeah, when you were sick with hypothermia and your throat was swollen. I had to feed you the medicine mouth to mouth. Do you remember that, you said you loved me that same month. I thought my heart would stop beating from the intense and overwhelming shock and adoration, but I never could’ve asked for more.
