last movie i saw: memory by martin campbell, like 15min ago my brother in law put this on tonight, classic liam neeson kinda movie i'd say, but monica bellucci was there at her most milfboss so this part was nice

last book i read: my last attempt was dune by frank herbert but i gave up

currently reading: a memory called empire by arkady martine, reading slowly but reading it. im also this close to re-read a full 51 chapter fic.....

currently playing: the longest journey (on hold bc i can't stream it for sae to follow with me), baldur's gate 3 and redoing the runaway trilogy it seems

3 ships: full delphene x wyll brainrot at the moment, but i'm also thinking a lot about the tibanne x gale possibility or the tibanne x astarion option

Une voisine encombrante, de Shari Lapena aux éditions Lizzie: À mesure de ses romans, Shari Lapena est devenue pour moi une valeur sûre. Je n'ai pas été déçue par «Une voisine encombrante». J'ai tout de suite été embarquée dans les soucis de la famille Sharp, dans la manière dont ils les gèrent... À cela est très vite venu s'ajouter le meurtre... Outre l'enchaînement fluide des événements, l'autrice a évoqué la psychologie de ses personnages. Chacun est touché, d'une manière ou d'une autre, par ce qui arrive. Certains, sous couvert d'amabilité, se montrent parfois critiques... comme dans la vie... Tout cela fait que j'ai pardonné à l'auteur d'utiliser la ficelle éculée qui consiste à nous faire soupçonner presque tout le monde du meurtre. De plus, elle ne s'en est pas mal tirée avec la résolution de cette énigme. entendre la voix de Françoise Cadol littéralement PARTOUT, comment je suis sensée ne pas penser à Kate et Syberia tous les jours ?

Changer l'eau des fleurs, de Valérie Perrin aux éditions Audiolib: Violette nous raconte son histoire. Cela m'a plu parce que le personnage parvient à faire face aux coups durs de la vie sans se résigner. Heureusement, elle rencontre de sympathiques personnes qui l'aident, ce qui fait que sa nature joyeuse et généreuse s'exprimera. La passion de Violette m'a donné envie de relire «L'œuvre de Dieu, la part du diable». Certains personnages n'ont trouvé aucune grâce à mes yeux, même si Valérie Perrin tente de montrer qu'ils ont des velléités de sympathie. L'un d'eux est Philipe Toussaint. Violette le nomme toujours sans dissocier le nom du prénom. J'espère qu'il ne faut pas y voir une allusion à l'écrivain Jean-Philippe Toussaint, j'espère que l'autrice ne veut pas dire que celui-ci est aussi «déplaisant» que le personnage qu'elle a créé. J'aime moins l'histoire d'Irène et Gabriel, principalement parce que les coups de foudre me cassent toujours les pieds: je ne parviens pas à leur trouver de la vraisemblance. En outre, les deux personnages m'ont paru plutôt fades. J'ai préféré le fils d'Irène à celle-ci. Je recommande cette version audio, car elle a été enregistrée par Françoise Cadol. Sa voix agréable, sa diction soignée, et son intonation toujours appropriée (qu'elle dépeigne le désespoir de Violette ou qu'elle lance une ou deux répliques de «La trilogie marseillaise») sont des éléments à côté desquels il ne faut pas passer. Je ne sais pas quelle était la qualité de la prestation de Marine Royer, qui a enregistré la première version audio du livre pour Audible, mais il est peu de comédiennes qui surpasseraient Françoise Cadol, à mon avis.
