Huge free pattern archive from a Japanese yarn company (charts)

This archive disappeared at one point, then came back. They haven't updated since 2020, but there's literally hundreds of knitting and crochet patterns to sort through. It's all PDFs with charts and English translation on the minimal text.

In case anyone's looking for some stuff to make.

Reminder that almost any truly vintage and antique knit or crochet pattern can be found FREE on many sites including:

On both internet archive and project gutenburg it helps to know what book or magizine you are looking for but you can still do a regular vague key word search and find something.

Even your local library and ravelry might have antique pattern books on file! On ravelry you will have to exclude all purchasable patterns instead of just looking for free for some reason, then get past the first page or two of patterns people thought "looked antique" but once you get to the black and white photos you are golden!

So please don't buy an etsy shop's antique pattern when there is really no reason to, and if you are one of those selling these patterns, know I am judging you big time!

Hallo all!

I figured I should stay by introducing myself and my goal here:

I'm Frog, a crochet artist. I've been crocheting for about 10 years now, mostly freehand.

I kept running across very obvious AI crochet projects and I couldn't help but think: "jeez, if someone is newer to crochet, they may well buy this pattern."

Thus, this Tumblr.

I wanted to create real plushies and patterns for the AI ones that are being sold and distribute them for free.

If you come across an AI image and would like an actual pattern for it, please feel free to submit the image and I'll do what I can to create it for you!

Please do keep in mind, there will be differences between the AI plush and the human version, most of the time for logic or aesthetic purposes. These aren't always 1 to 1, but I will try to keep the original spirit and general look of the original!!!

Also! Please keep in mind that I am a left handed crocheter!

i saw this come across more on reddit n why was i searching there? bc i hv the same problem but i dont hv an account there so im gonna just share the resources here. so some ppl struggle with creating embroidery designs bc they just genuinely cannot draw and arent skilled with design etc and finding ref images can be hard even more so if ur creating things to sell and want to avoid any possible copyright issues. and the answer is really just look for vintage images there are tons of websites dedicated to compiling vintage images that are royalty free that you can play around with which is super cool and also ofc clip art

Seriously, check this shit out. A couple of years ago when I sat down to collect a bunch of 'em, I had to go through the Internet Archive. But they're back!
