Day 15 and 16

Day 15 was about stretching my body, I had that covered , the goal is to always “remain flexible”, that’s a personal mantra I never compromise on.

Same with my mind, Day 16, it’s a beautiful thing to never loose deep connections from your youth. There are people that I have cherished all of my life, it’s a blessing to have grown 30+ years with certain people.

I have known him since our youth, sometimes we laugh, we’re not young kids anymore, but when we get in a room full of our elders they call us babies. That still feels so life enhancing and amazing.

When asked, “ what’s the one thing from our youth we never want to out grow? “ We both agreed, “our youthful hearts” it’s true when you get older its wise to put away childish things” yet as we continue to grow together over the years our youthful hearts are a reminder to love whole heartedly from a place of innocence, fun, loyalty and wonder.

Being able to tap into that place of wonder has been the ultimate form of self care and more importantly self acknowledgement. Not only that, it also holds us self accountable, without being old when it comes to our love and our mindsets.

Childhood Trauma doesn’t have to continually play out in adulthood, we both refuse to allow it to do so, those parts of us are always healing, many years ago we made it a point not to allow our childhood to discourage or limit how we interact with one another or the world.

I don’t get insulted when people say, that I don’t look or sometimes act my age, I take that as more of a compliment and an acknowledgment than anything else. I don’t spend my life acting, I’m a woman, focused on being the joy that I have always been from my youth!!!
