@infernalpursuit sent:
a weird headcanon for ALL of them!!!!!!!! or at least the ones you have most muse for
Tumblr media Tumblr media
all of 'em?
Adisse, Ellera, and Hadren - When they were all little, Hadren would scare her younger sisters with stories of dragons and werewolves and draugr and brigands. Adisse grew out of that fear on her own. Ellera took a bit of encouragement.
Alia - Phantom limb pain. And itches. And leg being asleep. It's all still weird, even though the leg has been gone for years. Sometimes she still goes to paint the toenails on that side and is thankful no one else is there to see her do it but her cat.
Anaïs - When she first left the Vault, the first ghoul she encountered, she treated like a friendly face. It was not. Not anymore. Her trauma convinced her that used to be her neighbor, Mr. Sumner. It wasn't.
Arlo - He tried to convince his sisters that the family pet Growlithe was going to evolve and eat them when they were kids. He was grounded for this and doesn't care for Growlithes now.
Asa - They've made countless pipes in their glass blowing class and the professor is too much of a chicken shit pushover to say anything. Their favorite one is a clear blue one.
Baz - Honestly, he's not great at arm wrestling. Something about the angle, he says, but it's bullshit. He's just plain bad at it.
Beam - Once ate someone's pet Saluki. It was an accident and he was stuck picking dog hair from his teeth for days.
Brier - Ask her about the time she got arrested for trespassing. And the other time she got arrested for trespassing. And the other time. She has boundless curiosity and bolt cutters.
Chira - In her Pokémon verse, she's a massive fan of Grusha. When he announced he planned on retiring from snowboarding, she cried.
Dar'jhan - Regularly gets told he's going to get scurvy because citrus fruits give him heartburn. He is terrified of this.
Deacon and Glory - They have a chess tournament at the Railroad HQ when things are quiet. Glory cleans house during this and wipes the crypt floor with those scrubs. Deacon does not.
Empyrean, Thara, and Un-kyong - When Empyrean first got to the Church, Un-kyong definitely started a rumor that she and Thara hated each other. It wasn't true at the time, but it had been brought up enough, it was like she manifested this beef into being. She isn't sorry. Empyrean and Thara can respect the other's grind, but they don't like each other.
Fumiyuki and Hanami - The first time Fumiyuki met Hanami, he scared him beyond his fucking wits. Hanami knows this to be true and terrorizes this poor curse user, just because he can. Something about the voice is scary as fuck.
Gakuganji - He cannot drive. It sends his anxiety through the roof. So while on paper, he is able to do this, in practice, old man's a mess.
Gardenia - She hates sand. Hates it. She has to wash off outside, change out of sandy clothes, and shower immediately. Probably even vacuum afterwards, too. She hates sand.
Hornjolf - Bazulmorz was his gay awakening and now they're in love.
Iruka and Nezumi - Nezumi broke Iruka's nose when they were kids. It was on purpose because he made an ill-timed joke about her.
Itzli and Timofei - These two cardinals are so, so wretched, they schedule a weekly bitchfest just to talk shit about everyone else at the church. When Timofei doesn't forget. And when Itzli decides she wants to go. There are always snacks and a bag of blood for them to split.
Joni - She restored her van herself. Ask her about it! She's proud as hell, okay?! It ran decently before, but with the help of her uncle and Sebastian (despite being an unfriendly shit the whole time) she got it done!
Jupiter - When things went tits up with Team Galactic, she went looking for Cyrus for a while. But it seemed he wasn't entirely interested in being found. Eventually she gave up, and he spent her time learning how to cook. She's not a professionally trained chef by any means, but she can outcook most of my other muses.
Jyspolwynni and Remni - Some fish elves are fishier than others. Remni's gills are more developed than Wynni's, but Wynni has a more otherworldly look that Remni does. Fish elves are weird, man.
Loree - She tutors for chemistry and math, but cannot get the grasp of English and Literature her ap class requires. She's trying so hard and is stressed so bad over this.
Maggie and Zecharias - Based on accuracy alone, Maggie is a better shot with a rifle, and Zecharias is better with a bow. Though he doesn't use it often and prefers his shotgun or revolver.
Mayumi - She had a crush on Yu while they were in school, but she was never his type. Which was a fucking shame.
Mica, Veta, and Onnicka - They all might act like big ol' bitches, but Glücksfall and Snapdragon love playing together. There's enough overlap in the fan bases that really draw the best crowds and the bands all get along decently well.
Mike - He tried to teach Walker how to fight when she was 11, He ended up having to find someone else to do it because he forgot she was left-handed and a child and accidentally broke her nose. He cried over this. She didn't. What he did successfully teach her was to be down to fight anyone at any time. He's so proud.
Mountain - He befriends all animals. Even the ones set to be slaughtered, which there are several throughout the church grounds. The chickens like to follow him, much to Errett's dismay. He doesn't do this on purpose.
Mr. Torgue - He can fuck it up with a set of knitting needles. His Grandma Flexington taught him, obviously. So far, his favorite projects are a TORGUE afghan he made for his grandma and a dice bag he uses when he plays Bunkers and Badasses.
Murphy and Sioned - If there was a competition for worst person in the Commonwealth, it wouldn't be between these two. They really aren't all that bad if you're willing to overlook the murdering amd weird cult-y shit. Murphy sends caps back to their brothers, and Sioned gives settlers food after they talk to them about the Glory of Atom and his Division.
Noah - He speaks Belarusian while he's out in the Commonwealth to avoid people talking to him. It's kind of a manipulation thing because people will overlook him as a threat if they think he can't understand them, but he almost always uses this to his advantage to avoid problems.
Ocvist - He does not care for the golden dragon, Villentretenmerth. He finds his to be brash and impulsive and too proud. Changing into a human form? Outrageous.
Prue - I've talked about this a bit before, but she is colorblind. She has tritanopia. It usually doesn't cause any issues for her, apart from the occasional weird outfit, but she has painted a wing of her ship the wrong color in the past. It's annoying, but rarely dangerous.
Rochelle - She has a big fat crush on Oz. She hates it. They're so nervous all the time and she has shit to do. Not be pining over the embodiment of fear. Ugh.
Ryuko - Despite rarely being home, their house in Kumogakure is lined with trinkets from her travels, well-loved paperback books, and rose-scented candles. They're a romantic.
Salomé - She always starts her day with a cold brew. This is a habit she picked up while getting her bachelor's degree. Her whole day feels off if this is skipped.
Shane - His hangover remedy is eggs, vintage SNES games, and two advil. He lies to himself and says it works every time.
Tempest - She has been reprimanded more than once for luring new fire ghouls to their deaths. She's not sorry and she will do it again. If they'd stop bringing in those weird, overly aggressive, territorial fire ghouls, she wouldn't have to kill them and pick their bones clean. But they don't listen.
Verastian - While conjugation magic is his forte, his ability with alchemy is nothing to shake a stick at. He offers a fine array of healing potions, fortification elixirs, and if you're willing to wait until his shop closes for the day, he'll sell you the best poisons from the back door.

Blue Lock - A long interview with Tasuku Kaito, who plays the role of Meguru Bachira!
Date Released: February 6, 2022
Translation by: phantombanquet
We bring you a long interview with Tasuku Kaito, who plays the role of Meguru Bachira! The interview is full of interesting topics such as his impression of the original work, the appeal of “Blue Lock” and Meguru Bachira, and so on.
Please take a look.
“What are your impressions of the original work, and what are its highlights?”
Tasuku Kaito: It is a kind of work that draws you into the development of the story and keeps you turning the pages. I used to play soccer myself, so there were a lot of things I could relate to, like the necessary thinking needed in order to play soccer, and the play style of the players. I thought that it was an “egoistic” youth sports manga, with each scene making my hands sweat from the plot twists.
After all, I think the point of interest is “ego”. The appearing characters are aware of their own weapons, polish them, and aim for the goal with the will to not lose to anyone. The most appealing aspect of this work is the bare “ego” that says: I'm going to do it, not someone else.
“Kaito-san, do you have an 'ego' yourself?”
Tasuku Kaito: It's striving to finish what I've decided to do until the end. I think no one can beat me in regards to that, and I don't want to give that up. I don't want to compromise on anything because if I do, I won't continue to grow, so I think this is the part of my “ego” that I don't want to lose to anyone else.
“Could you please tell us the charms of Meguru Bachira when you play as him?”
Tasuku Kaito: I think it’s charming that he goes ahead on his own. It’s a bit difficult to push forward with your goal in a situation where someone is holding back. There were times where I found myself hesitating in certain situations, so I find Bachira’s egocentric attitude charming.
Besides, Bachira doesn't think of difficulties as difficulties, but rather, he enjoys it. Usually, when a wall blocks my way, I think in a somewhat negative way like, “what should I do...”, but in Bachira's case, he treats difficulties as a positive thing, and it's amazing to think that he has that kind of instinct to figure out what he should do to climb over the wall in front of him.
“What do you keep in mind when you play as Bachira?”
Tasuku Kaito: This character has plenty of scenes where he is lively, but I have low energy, so I usually tell myself: “This scene (involving Bachira) is set in a fun setting, so let's wind up the tension!”. I try to give importance in sympathizing with his feelings.
During the post-recording, Director (Tetsuaki) Watanabe-san and Sound Director (Fumiyuki) Goh-san gave me advices like, “Bachira is a high school student, but has an innocent, childlish side, so it's best to not keep a strange appearance for him,” and “Why don't you try acting as energetically and innocently as a young boy having fun?”, so I play as Bachira with these in mind.
“Bachira has a lot of scenes involving Yoichi Isagi, but did you have any previous meetings with Kazuki Ura, who plays the role of Yoichi Isagi, before the recording?”
Tasuku Kaito: Personally, there are several famous seniors, who are like heavenly beings to me, that also appear in this cast, and I think we have to value a part of our feelings and passion for the characters we play, so that we won't be at a disadvantage. Since Isagi and Bachira often interact together, we both talked about how it would be nice if we could borrow the hearts of our seniors, put together our feelings into the drama, and give it our all while we grow alongside each other.
“Are there any characters that are similar to you, or any characters that you admire because they are completely different from you?”
Tasuku Kaito: I have a strong negative-like side myself, so, in a way, I think I am similar to (Aoshi) Tokimitsu. He also has a very negative attitude, so I could really relate to his worries and how his mind works, which he doesn't show. (Laughs)
I guess the character that I admire is (Shoei) Barou. I think it’s cool how he gives importance to his own pride, pushing forward on his own path and sticking to it until the end as a king, regardless of what anyone else says. As a man, I really admire the way he shows off his sheer strength. And as the story progresses, Barou’s overly helpful and a little bit of his mischievous side also comes out; I think the gap between that and his usual attitude is one of his charms.
“Lastly, please give a few words to the fans for the release of the TV anime.”
Tasuku Kaito: The original work is intense, entertaining, and well-known. It is the kind of work that allows you to feel the growth of Isagi, Bachira, and every single character. While I perform as Bachira, I am also growing as I encounter challenges one at a time. I am recording the anime alongside the performances of my seniors, feeling every day that the anime will be as “egoistic” and breathtaking as the original work. I hope you look forward to its release.
Thank you for today!
The “Blue Lock” TV anime is scheduled to air in 2022.
Further information will be released at any time on the official website and official Twitter (@BLUELOCK_PR)!!

Setsubun Hairstyles
Sure, the kimono and dances are lovely to watch, but nothing beats the elaborate hairstyles that we only see once a year! However, very little information is available, and even then it can be hard to tell these styles apart! So, we’re going to take a detailed look into each style and what makes that style well, that style!
Osome (お染)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Image courtesy of Umeka and Fumiyuki. The most basic and easiest style of them all to spot. It’s worn by maiko in their second or third year who are not yet seniors as maiko in their first year do not wear any styles (or, if they do, it is extremely rare and it’s always this one). Its structure is similar to Wareshinobu, with these main differences: -The mage is split into three sections instead of two. -Negi shiraga tonbo or regular shiraga tonbo are added to the top of the mage to make it shine. -In lieu of a kanokodome, a hashi no ke (hair extension) is combed over the middle of the mage. A small flower or decoration is sometimes added, like the example above. -Miokuri and additional optional hashi no ke are added to the bottom of the mage.
Yuiwata (結綿)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Image courtesy of Yoshifumi Okiya and Ochaya. A popular style among senior maiko for its simplicity and elegance, it’s the base of many other Setsubun hairstyles. Characteristics of Yuiwata include: -A crushed/flattened mage. -A kanoko tied around and then above the flattened part like a pretzel.
Kikugasane (菊重ね)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images courtesy of Yumiko Photography and Crazy Blue Panda. An elegant style that’s meant to mimic the look of a large chrysanthemum with a multitude of petals, it’s related to Yuiwata, but with a twist. Distinguishing features of Kikugasane are: -Crushed/flattened mage. -Hair from the crushed part of the mage tied together with a kanoko into the pretzel knot shape of Yuiwata.
Oshidori - Mesu (おしどり雌)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images courtesy of Haginon and Coto Cotton. One of the more rare styles as it’s very plain and simple overall. It’s meant to mimic the look of a male mandarin duck. Characteristics of Oshidori - Mesu include: -A flat, crushed mage. -A hashi no ke that extends over the mage and is flattened down and stiffened with hair paste. -Hane mottoi tying the mage and hashi no ke together and accented with a beaded pin kanzashi. -The addition of a nemaki or sometimes a kanoko underneath the mage.
Oshidori - Hina (おしどり雛)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Image courtesy of Shigemori Okiya and Ochaya and Emi Blue who’s allowed me to use an exclusive image. An extremely iconic style that’s worn by maiko who are about to become senior or have become senior within the past year. It’s very popular as it’s quite flashy and has become synonymous with Setsubun, but only the Hina variant, which is mean to look like a female mandarin duck. It is one of the styles that uses Yuiwata as a base. Distinguishing features of Oshidori - Hina are: -A hashi no ke that rests on top of and over the mage and remains fluffy. -A kanoko that’s tied around the base of the mage that makes it look like a pretzel. -Negi shiraga tonbo or regular shiraga tonbo tied in with the kanoko to make it very shiny and grab the attention of onlookers. -A small decoration near the end of the hashi no ke called an ichidome that’s pinned into the hair to keep it from flapping around.
Oshun (お俊)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images courtesy of Taroeines and Toshiworth. This style is nearly identical to Oshidori - Hina above and can be hard to differentiate if you don’t know what to look for. The main characteristics that make Oshun different from Oshidori - Hina are: -The addition a kanoko tied through the upper mage section accented with negi shiraga tonbo. -A small bar ichidome kanzashi that’s added sometimes in lieu of a pin style one.
Fukiwa (吹輪)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Image courtesy of Takutanimoto and Ayaberto. Also known as the “Princess Style” as there are quite a few princess characters in kabuki whose hair is styled like this. It is very closely related to the Katsuyama style, but contains a few additions like: -”Hime Locks,” hair extensions that are long and flow over the shoulder. -Miokuri added into the back of the mage.
Fukura Suzume (ふくら雀)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images courtesy of Lazy Dragon and Geishakai. This is an extremely rare hairstyle that I’ve only seen worn a few times prior, but seems to be gaining in popularity over the past few years. Fukura Suzume is very closely related to Kikugasane, but differs with: -The top part of the mage forming a small, triangular peak. -The addition of a bekkō kogai kanzashi into the peak that stands vertically. -A kanoko tied around the crushed part of the mage and over the high part of the mage.
Edo Sakko (江戸先笄)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images courtesy of Dreamliner77 [1] [2]. To be honest, I thought that this was only worn by maiko in Pontocho before the switch to “proper” sakkō, but seeing it worn in 2019 is such a pleasant surprise for hair enthusiasts as even in Pontocho it is a rarity! Characteristics of the Edo Sakkō style include: -A crushed mage like many other styles. -Bekkō kogai bar kanzashi that is wrapped in a kanoko cloth, usually a bright and unusual color like green, that’s tied between the between the upper and lower mage sections. -Small pieces of hair that are wrapped around the kanoko section.
Suisha (水車)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images courtesy of Sakuchan and Kimono Enishi. A unique style that takes parts of Edo Sakkō and Osafune to create an elegant look for senior maiko. The characteristics of Suisha are: -A crushed, flat mage. -Bekko kogai kanzashi inserted into the middle of a kanoko that’s tied between the upper and crushed part of the mage. -A hashi no ke going over the kanoko and pinned at the end of the mage. -Completed with a string of tama kanzashi underneath the mage.
Osafune (長舟)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images courtesy of Crazy Blue Panda and Emi Blue as an exclusive again.
Easily the most elaborate style that’s worn only by the most senior maiko in each district, Osafune’s gravity defying shape is meant to mimic that of a boat with a prominent sail. The characteristics of Osafune are:
-An elongated, looped mage meant to look like a boat’s sail. -A kanoko with a bekkō kogai kanzashi through the middle of it covering the inner mage. -Hair extending over the kanoko to act as an “anchor”. -Thin nemaki that are tied where the looped mage meets with the inner mage.

My passion
Here I am, after a whole while, with a new post!!!
Today I will be talking about my biggest passion aka CYCLING!!! And more importantly: my biggest hero in the sport
I have been into cycling for over 6 years now and hell I am not planning on stopping loving that sport.
It all started with the Tour The France of 2012, when my mom found out there was a Japanese rider participating, name Yukiya Arashiro. Back then I was completely obsessed with everything Asian so obviously I watched every stage and was so happy that one day he got the combative price!
A few months later, in February 2013, there was the first race of the Belgian season: the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. now, this was my first time going to the start of a race and I had nothing but a little book which came with the newspaper for free. I asked riders to sign in that book (if you can even call it a book) but I didn’t get a lot. I was mainly there for Fumiyuki Beppu, who back then rode for Orica-Greenedge. I still remember buying a white team cap to get signed after the race. I stood there, nearly shaking from the cold. And then, he passed me.. I was so starstruck but still managed to call his name and oh my God, he turned around to come over and sign my cap!!! Right after, I called my mom and literally broke down in tears of happiness, in the middle of a super crowded place.
Fast forward to a year later, when I started suffering from my depression and Fumy’s posts were basically the only thing that kept me smiling at some point. I found out he was going to be at the Brussels Cycling Classic so I made plans to go to that race weeks beforehand. A few days before the race, one of my aunts passed away and I saw my chance to meeting him slipping away since her funeral was at the same day as the race... Luckily my parents realized that going to that funeral was only going to push me deeper in that depression and they didn’t want to risk that since I just started getting a little better. So they let me go to the race. Ready with a marker and a huge Japanese flag, I went to Brussels, all by myself (thank god I didn’t have my fear of being alone yet). The moment I stood with Fumy, something sparked in me. I wanted to get better, keep fighting. I asked 2 other Japanese guys to take a picture of Fumy and me and It’s still one of my most treasured pictures ever. They also took one with me and Yukiya.
And that was the start of my obsession with cycling
In January 2015 I sent Fumy a DM on Twitter, explaining what he had meant to me in my hardest moments. He still remembered me from September the previous year so that was quite the achievement. Ever since then I always let him know if I’ll be at a race where he will be riding as well and he always looks for me!! Sometimes I will bring him chocolates or other local specialties and at the evening I would always receive a thank you message on Twitter ^^
Fumy truly is one of the friendliest and softest riders in the whole peloton and Oh My God, I kid you not, I will be devastated once he retires (which might be next season, or the one after that)
This next picture is the one that was taken on the Brussels Cycling Classic, September 2014.
Tumblr media
And then this picture was taken 2 months ago at the 2019 edition of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. It had been over a year that I saw Fumy and honestly, I felt so lucky!! I’m holding the Japanese flag in the picture but my dad couldn’t fit it on the pictures so yeah, there’s this weird white corner haha.
Tumblr media
I hope y’all enjoyed reading this, don’t hesitate to leave me a message ^^

I had a feeling this episode would reveal some things, and the last few minutes were full of game-changers. Midori is not the Composer. He’s going to go after Haruka. Fumiyuki knows things and has been involved in pretty much everything, but we don’t know how helpful he’ll actually be. THINGS ARE GOING TO GET CRAZY.

What’s That Thing? Part 21
It’s been a while since we did this feature as I was waiting on some good questions to come in, and they have! I’ve since been hoarding them so that I have a nice stack, so like the knowledge dragon that I am I’ll be sharing my wealth with all of you again ^^! 29goingon90 asked: “Hello! I have a few questions about Umeno’s green shibori hiki. A) The color shows quite a bit of variation in places across the garment, and I wondered if this is a regular characteristic of shibori? I’ve seen others with the color “running” like on Umeno’s, indeed, I have a shibori furisode in orange and green that displays it, but I had always thought it was a result of dye migration, discoloration or fading defect. It must be wrong for an okiya to showcase the piece so frequently? B) Why do we see so much of this hiki? Maybe since I know this one, I spot it right away? Or does it just get used that much relative to other hiki that that makes it recognizable to me?”    Since it’s a two parter let’s tackle this in two parts! First, here’s the kimono in question:
Tumblr media
Image courtesy of KWC Photo. Shibori like this is a bit complicated to make due to multiple colors involved. Most shibori relies on one main color that produces a gradation to look like multiple colors, but is simple(ish) in its execution. In the majority of cases when there are multiple colors involved they tend to be “spot” colors that are applied in small patches; this is most commonly seen with pieces like shibori yukata. When it comes to this piece, it requires a bit of a different approach in that color here has been applied in layers. The overall piece was first dyed in a light yellow color, which is why we see yellow seemingly coming out of everywhere. From there, the overall green sections were done with a simple geometric design of three/four lines that look a bit like folding fans. If this were a single color shibori piece then the light green areas would be white underneath, but since this was done in two stages they’re actually that sunny yellow. From there, the bold yellow sections were done to finish off the piece. Because there’s so much dye and so much physical exertion on the silk when shibori is made it can often look “roughed up,” so this is why we see a bit of a blotchy effect on the overall piece. This tends to become more obvious over time as the piece ages and is worn as dye can indeed migrate. Since yellow and green are close colors whose dyes can even be derived from each other it won’t seem as pronounced as if you had almost opposite colors like the OP has. However, we do know that many of Umeno’s better kimono, like this piece in particular, are upwards of 30 years old, so they’ve seen a great deal of wear! 30 years may seem like a long time, but shibori kimono are among the most expensive type of kimono that an okiya can own, so they are treated with respect and preserved for use for as long as possible.  As for the second question, let’s look at some more visual aids to help us answer this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images are courtesy of Katsufumi. So, as an experiment, I want you to look at both images above and tell me which kimono stands out the most to you. For the first image, your eyes are going to go to Fumiyuki in the middle as the contrast between purple and white is very strong. Then, you’ll look at Katsuki on the right as your eyes continue to look around for something to attract you, and the marumon on black is very striking. However, your eyes don’t want to focus on striking for very long, so they’ll immediately then go to Umetae on the left. You may not notice it until a few seconds later, but your eyes have actually focused on Umetae’s kimono longer than the others. Not only is it easier for your eyes to focus on for longer since the colors are similar, but the pattern in the shibori almost tricks your eyes into wanting to follow it around. In the second, a very similar thing happens. You’ll first be drawn to Fumiyuki’s green obi, but then almost immediately switch over to Umetae’s kimono. Shibori is very pleasing on the eyes, so whoever wears it is bound to stand out.  But, beyond all of that fun science-y stuff, we tend to see shibori kimono only from December through February as those are the only months when wearing shibori is considered appropriate. For nine months this kimono isn’t seen at all, so you aren’t really seeing it often overall, but are highly likely to see more images of it year round because it stands out so much. So, the overall answer is: The color is natural of the shibori process and nothing to be alarmed about. We see this kimono so often because it’s among the best that the okiya owns and it immediately draws attention to the wearer. Photographers really like images with shibori kimono, so they tend to be uploaded more than regular kimono ^^

December 2017: maiko Fumiyuki showing her unsigned maneki kanzashi (source). In early December, all of Kyoto’s maiko (and some geiko) go to the Minamiza theater for special performances of kabuki plays, and after the show maiko ask their favorite actors to sign the miniature maneki boards on their kanzashi. Large maneki boards hang on the outside of the theater with the names of the performing actors.

L’originale anime dello studio Nut andrà in onda a partire da luglio.
Tumblr media

Natsume: Kusunoki Tomori (LLENN in Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online)
