It rather denotes a lack of courage." - Aunt Frances- Practical Magic I’ve been up since 3 am sitting outside , drinking tea, enjoying my delightful maple syrup candle , listening to the rain and thinking about this. It’s been a week of revelations … and of course because it’s October and in the ancient calendars almost the start of the new year , it’s been a week of letting go, of dropping relationships that no longer serve me and honoring the ones that do. Learning to choose kindness, and directness at the same times. Giving up belonging or fitting in to groups or relationships , which as I think back on it, has never, ever served me well. Sorry Mom. ( But I know you secretly understand❤️) I have learned a lot this week simply by watching a situation that had been festering for months, years actually , finally implode, then explode and come full circle into illumination, just like the beautiful Hunters Full Moon. I am grateful this week for finally having learned to finally say NO , I will no longer participate in creating even more chaos and adding to the pain. I have finally learned to say like the aunts in Practical Magic to say, “Clean up your own mess” and actually mean it. I may slip up from time to time, but I’m proud of the work of this week. I am thankful to have a husband and several dear ones who encourage my freedom to do just that.
