Hey, what is the radfem/gc take on women in combat roles in the military? I know feminism itself is (or supposed to be) anti militaism. My country allowed women in infantry roles in 2016. Should women not be able to go into these roles (or into military at all)? I know when it comes to sports the gc take is that it should be separate

My own country introduced a military draft for women under the guise of ''feminism''. Even if you think that feminism is all about obtaining legal rights, you still shouldn't support this, seeing that a mandatory draft infringes upon your rights. A military draft doesn't grant you any rights

I do agree women should be allowed to enter the military, if they wish to, that is. A lot of positions in the military are not even for soldiers but rather for people in cybersecurity, engineering, or you can even be a nurse or the janitor. I believe in Israel they require both sexes to serve for the military, but not necessarily as a soldier. Even if a woman wants to be a soldier, I don't think that's inherently problematic. Militaries often do peace missions as well (not that these have a good reputation, but they're supposed to help in conflict, like in former Yugoslavia or Rwanda). It's not everyone becomes a soldier because they love killing as if life were a videogame

I think the morality of joining the army should be regarded as an issue seperated from feminism, if I'm being honest. Yes, we know Western soldiers are infamous for raping, but they rape women in third world countries as well as their fellow female soldiers. The rape problem is not unique to the military, it's just men taking advantage of the circumstances

The sports issue is entirely different. The female sports league exists to celebrate the best performances of the female body. It doesn't exist solely because men are better or whatever. Some sports favour women, like figure skating for example, because women are more flexible than men are. I agree men in female leagues are cheaters, but they also shouldn't be allowed because the purpose of a female league is to celebrate the capabilities of the *female* body. Whether those cabalities are better or worse than men's is not really relevant

I know in order to join the military you need to pass physical exams. I don't know to what degree those are different for men and women. I suppose governments need to find a balance between maintaining standards for physical fitness and having the extra advantage of more soldiers if they allow women to join. In Ukraine right now a minority of people fighting against the Russians are women, actually, which if probably a greater advantage than not having those extra people. I believe those women are forming a net benefit for the Ukraine rather than a negative

Again, the ethics is war and military should be questioned, but I don't see why that issue would be inherently gendered. The most common contra-argument is that the military exists to rape and exploit women from the third world (as if that doesn't apply to so many industires?). Issues or rape and exploitation are by no means exclusive to the military. If women are only allowed to exist in ''good'' industries, then there's almost nothing left. It might be a better strategy to get more women into these industries so that we can improve them from the inside out rather than straight-up abolishing them from the outside. Libfem argument, I know, but it seems most feasible to me. As long as men remain in power, the industries will operate worse

A candidate must be an Indian national.

The candidate must have earned an MBBS degree from a college accredited by the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.

The candidate must have completed one year of internship by March 31 of the relevant academic year.

A candidate must have taken the NEET PG Entrance Examination in the year for which admission is being sought and qualified according to the criteria established by the competent authority.

How to apply for the NEET PG?

The candidate must register for NEET PG on the official website.

The application fees are payable online via credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI payment gateway.

The application fee is INR 3750 for General and OBC applicants and INR 2750 for SC/ST and PWD applicants.

GCS Medical College Admission

Gujarat Cancer Society Medical College provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in four streams with a variety of specialisations. To be admitted to the college, interested students must meet the eligibility requirements and provide their NEET score.

Students must pass a common entrance exam to enrol in Undergraduate courses. The CET you must pass is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

You must also have a 50% stake in the company.

For other courses, you must be a graduate and have passed NEET.

Candidates are chosen based on their merits and NEET examination scores.

GCS Medical College Admission Process:

GCS (Gujarat Cancer Society) Medical College aspires to be one of the top medical schools in the country. It currently serves 150 undergraduate medical students and 59 postgraduate students. Anatomy, Pathology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Community Medicine, and Forensic Medicine are the college's eight major departments.

GCS Medical College Courses,

The students are admitted through NEET every year for attaining the prestigious degree of MBBS which is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). 

Admission in GCS is done through NEET for MBBS followed by counseling for an undergraduate degree. 

It also offers MD and MS programs in various specializations for which a graduate degree from a recognized college or university is required.

A minimum period of 3 academic years is the duration for those registering for MD.

149 students for UG and 52 students for PG courses were enrolled.

GCS Medical College for MD/MS

GCSMC offers two postgraduate degree programmes: MD (Doctor of Medicine) and MS (Master of Science) (Master of Surgery). It has a variety of specialisations from which to choose. The table below lists the 16 MD specialisations and the three MS specialisations.

The college has set aside 25% of the seats for NRI and Management quotas (NRI- 15% and Management quota- 10%), with the remaining 75% reserved for government quotas, which include state quotas and open category seats.
