Work story below :D

I’ve told this story like five times today but my work took me off the schedule today without telling me. Like yesterday I was joking with manager 1 about taking me off bc they were alr looking to get someone off, but he told me that they would have to call me first the day of. So I was like “oh, okay. I’ll wait by my phone then lol”.

They didn’t call at all. And I had a feeling that they’d taken me off. I literally drove all the way there, was about to clock in, when I changed my mind and went to check the clipboard that has the schedule/phase times on them. And I saw that I was missing.

And sooo I tell manager 1 that I’m not on the schedule. He’s like “really?” Checks for himself, asks if I came in on my day off, but I verify it on the app. He’s like “oh, okay. I’ll see you later then?” And then he stops me a few minutes later, trying to call one of the other guys that were supposed to work tonight to see if they want the night off.

While my 3 coworkers are telling me to gtfo before he answers. He doesn’t, I ask to get my tip money from the night before. I let fav coworker 1 know that I don’t actually work tonight + the first thing she says is “ugh now I’m actually gonna have to pre-close tonight.”

I look at her like 😀 and go “you thought I was gonna pre-close for you tonight? Ha, I was supposed to be out by 8, there’s no fucking way.” We close at 10. There’s no fucking chance that I would’ve willingly stayed until 9 lmaooo

ANYWAY, manager 1 gets me my money, and then I say that I’ll get him the coffee I owe him from a couple weeks ago (even tho I got him that coffee and he left before I could deliver it). On my way out he stops fav coworker 1 and coworker 2, telling them that coworker 3—the one that he had just called—might not actually be coming in tonight bc he went to a funeral last week.

And you wanna know their reactions? IMMEDIATELY they’re like “um, get Quinn to stay rn, don’t let her leave.” But I’m LITERALLLYYY walking away as they’re saying this. Even the bartender was like “stop her!!!”

???? Bitches no??? Esp not with the attitude you just fucking gave me. I went and got the manager coffee and he was practically waiting for me at the door. He took the coffee and went “run, girl.” Bc they were pissed.

& like I get it. Working with 2 SP’s can be hard, but it’s Wednesday night. It’s not a Saturday. I was able to work Tuesday morning all by myself bc it was so slow. I probably would’ve been a lil mad myself but coworker 2 has been complaining ab making money in that position. So. Make ur money? It’s gonna be split between 2 people instead of 3.
