The Top 5 Signs It's Time to Replace Your Garage Door
Introduction: Your garage door is more than just an entryway to your home; it’s an integral part of your home's security, insulation, and aesthetic appeal. While regular maintenance can extend the life of your garage door, there comes a time when a replacement is more cost-effective and safer. At AZ Garage Door NJ, we understand the importance of a functional and visually appealing garage door. Here, we discuss the top five signs that indicate it might be time to replace your garage door.
1. Excessive Noise: An old or malfunctioning garage door can start to make a lot of noise. If you notice an increase in grinding, squeaking, or rattling sounds when the door moves, it could indicate issues with the springs, openers, or rollers. While some noise issues can be fixed with repairs, excessive noise often suggests that the door's components are worn out and require a complete replacement.
2. Frequent Repairs: If you find yourself frequently calling for garage door repairs, it might be more economical to replace it. Frequent breakdowns are a clear sign that your garage door is nearing the end of its useful life. Investing in a new door can save you time, money, and the hassle of dealing with ongoing maintenance issues.
3. Safety and Security Concerns: Modern garage doors come equipped with advanced safety and security features that older models lack. If your garage door doesn't have features like automatic reversal or motion detectors, or if it has been breached before, upgrading to a newer model can enhance the safety and security of your home.
Tumblr media
4. Poor Energy Efficiency: An old or poorly insulated garage door can affect the energy efficiency of your entire home. This is particularly significant if you have an attached garage. Modern garage doors are better insulated and sealed, which can help maintain your home's temperature and reduce energy costs. If you notice drafts or a spike in your energy bills, it might be time to consider a door with better insulation.
5. Visible Wear and Tear: Signs of physical deterioration—such as sagging, bending, holes, rust, or wear in the panels—can significantly detract from your home’s curb appeal. These issues can also compromise the structural integrity of the door, making it unsafe. A new garage door can rejuvenate the look of your home and ensure it remains secure and functional.
Conclusion: Replacing your garage door is a significant decision that can improve the functionality, safety, and aesthetic of your home. If you’re experiencing any of these five signs, it may be time to consider a new garage door. At AZ Garage Door NJ, we offer a wide selection of modern garage doors that can meet your needs and preferences.

You were driving along the coastline, thinking about how this would work since you knew that you were in trouble. If anything, you knew that you had to keep your feelings at bay since you couldn’t have a school-girl crush on your new business partner. Professional first and foremost or else you could lose everything that you worked for. But man, did he have to look so handsome, be so charming, so smart even when you had the feeling that he was simply a man that knew how to party. Hell, if it weren’t for the arrangement he had proposed to you a week ago, perhaps you would’ve tried this out with him. But alas, you knew that it would just be a dream in your mind, a fantasy of being partners together but also lovers.
Of course, with the devil and the angel on your shoulders, you thought about what it could be like with him. He could travel all over the world with you, be by your side in every business endeavor you could think of. You knew you could take this to new heights, bigger than what Javi could dream of. You would both be unstoppable, untouchable even when you knew that anything could happen. But with him, well, with how much you admired him from afar and how much you grew in your time, you thought that two forces together were better than apart and you could always see how long it could last.
Before you realized it, the GPS told you that you arrived to your destination. When you took it all in, you weren’t surprised to see how architecturally beautiful it was. Pearly white exterior as the bricks were smooth, stunning blue highlights on the roof, the rooftop itself perfect for the parties Javi would throw, windows that allowed any guest to see the perfect view of the ocean no matter what area of the house they were in but the trees kept it enclosed just in enough to ensure the privacy that someone could want. Perfect for the playboy that you knew Javi to be, just enough to keep him concealed from threats yet extravagant enough to let him be the life of the party. You pulled around to the front, and you saw one of Javi’s many men waiting. He opened the door for you and you stepped out, careful not to trip with your new heels that you picked out. After all, you had to celebrate your new job with a pair of red bottoms that screamed I’m a boss.
“Welcome. You look lovely today Ms. Y/L/N.” The man said as he pulled your bag out from the back seat.
“Thank you. What’s your name?” You handed him your keys.
“I’m Ivan. No worries about remembering, I’m sure you have a lot on your mind.”
“I’ll remember, Ivan.” You smiled at him, knowing how it felt to be forgotten about at the bottom of the totem pole.
“I appreciate that. Have a good day.”
“You as well.” You watched him get into the driver’s seat and pull off into the garage that was on the opposite side of the villa. You walked inside, the doors already opened for you and you were welcomed into more luxury that made you wonder if you were in some sort of palace. The contemporary element mixed with a modern touch of artwork made you feel at home, the blend of different styles matching perfectly. You made your way upstairs as you were sure that your office was adjacent to Javi’s making it easier to walk over to him if need be. But once you got to the second floor, you were greeted by Javi who had just gotten dressed in a tailored grey suit, enough to make you swoon. You silently thanked yourself for wearing the black pencil skirt and white blouse that you debated on wearing.
“Good morning. I can lead you to the office.” He put his hand out and you took it, trying to ignore how perfect his fit with yours. He walked with you down the hall and the cedar door that was before you matched the style you loved the most.
“Open it.” He gave you the key and you took it, putting it in the lock and twisting the knob to see the beautiful office that was yours. Despite the other styles around the house, it was as if Javi and his team made the office match your home. The color scheme matching the bright colors of outside, your desk facing the floor to ceiling window, a soft bean bag chair for you to lounge in, and bookshelves for you to place all your notebooks and other novels that you planned on reading in your spare time.
“I believe that an office should be your second home, something that you can relax in. How else can you work if you’re stressed?” He walked in right after you, but you were more in awe over how perfect everything was.
“Thank you, Javi. How did you do all this so quickly?”
“I had it planned out before Hector called you.”
“Oh. So you just knew I was going to say yes?” You turned to face him, an amused smile creeping up on your lips.
“I always get what I want. Didn’t you do your research?”
“I always do my research. It’s why you hired me,” You put the key down and the rest of your things, settling into the desk chair.
“I’ll leave you to it. See you in a little while, Y/N.”
“See you later.” You turned to look at him as he walked out the door, and you thought about how you were going to struggle with him being right next door to you.
-
At the end of the day, you rounded up your things and turned off the desktop computer that Javi had bought for you to use instead of you using your laptop. Your laptop was your baby, but you had to admit that the new computer was going to be hard to not use when you were here. But in all honesty, everything that Javi planned out struck you. He planned without really knowing if you would say yes. You could’ve stuck to your guns and walked away from his offer, but he guessed right and here you were, amazed by all that he did to make the space equal with you. In all your years of working there was never a time that someone would go out of your way to do this for you. You understood why, but the sentiment behind it all, it was what you couldn’t get passed.
Did Javi want you? Or was he just overcompensating for something? You couldn’t pinpoint why when you walked out of your office. You just knew that if you wanted to ignore what you felt for him, it was going to be nearly impossible if this was what he was going to do on your first day. Hell, maybe after six months he would build you an office that took up a side of the house or just buy you a new car. Whatever he would do next it would likely sweep you off your feet, but you didn’t know if he was going to be there to catch you. You walked out of your office and locked the door before looking to see that Javi’s light was still on in his office. Curiosity got the best of you so you walked over to his room and knocked on the door, seeing that he was looking at the sea.
“I’m all done for today. Just wanted to wish you a goodnight.” He turned to face you, his suit hanging on his chair leaving him in only his black shirt that was slightly unbuttoned and the slacks he paired with it.
“Did you figure out who our next client is?” He asked as he put down his drink.
“Yeah, I narrowed it down to Brian Jackson. He’s probably your-“
“Our," He corrected you, and the reassurance was warming.
“Our best bet given that he has some access to the few ports were missing. I’ll set up the meeting in the meantime. Did you need anything else?” You looked at him, the way he looked so damn hot with his legs slightly open, almost beckoning you to take a seat.
“Nothing else. But thank you for setting that up. I didn’t know who to choose and Hector was not much help.”
“Well some things are just a woman’s job.” You smiled.
“I think I can drink to that,” He put his glass up and then finished it in one go, setting it down right after. “But I won’t keep you any longer. Drive home safe and let me know that you made it home.”
“I will. Goodnight Javi.”
“Goodnight Y/N. See you in the morning.” You nodded and walked out, but you strangely felt that a certain someone’s eyes were on you, practically glued to your lower half as you walked out of his office.
Once you left, Javi turned his chair around to look out the window, just watching you walk out of the house. He knew it would be slightly on grounds for stalking, but he knew that he wanted you, needed you. Stylish, intelligent, and impossible to have? How could he not want the forbidden desire that made his mind swirl, his body swelter the minute he saw you in your office attire? You were a tease at best, maybe planing all this out to see what he would do. If you had just touched him, gotten close to his ear and whispered every dirty thought you had he would’ve lost it.
Hell, if you had asked him to fuck you against the wall he would’ve, pinned you right up on the wall of your new office. He would be pulling up your skirt that cupped your bottom, be amused to see how you were not wearing anything underneath, and then pumping himself inside of you for the rest of the day. He’d make memories all in yours and his office, every inch a memory of how he took you as his. He’d just have to do it all over the house next, send everyone away for the day so that he could have you scream. He didn’t know why you had to be everything he ever wanted in a partner, but you were.
He certainly didn’t know why he was pulling his cock out of his slacks, watching you talk to the new hire, Ivan, and seeing him open the door for you. It was instinctive, wishing that he was getting into the car with you to take you to an idyllic place where he could give you the world, the moon, the stars, and then show you what it meant to be claimed by him. He wanted to take off your high heels, kiss your calves, your thighs, worship you for the queen he knew you to be. He would live out every fantasy he could have with you for as long as you let him. Javi, being the man who didn’t know if there was a woman of his caliber out there was practically mesmerized with you.
"She’s not yours to have. You can’t have everything." Thoughts of supposed guilt were futile as he knew that he couldn't stop himself. If anything, they made him want you more, to see just what blurring the lines could do.
He only stroked himself faster, heavy grunts and even little whimpers falling out of his mouth when his thumb would swipe over his tip, precum barely hanging on as it was beginning to drip down. He would much rather hear you whimper, wanting more as he filled you up repeatedly, to tell you to cum just once more for him while your legs shook from the pleasure. Wanted you to be in his ear telling him that you didn't want anyone else, only him.
He watched you drive off, knowing that you were going home to sleep. But rather, he wanted you to be getting into bed with him so he could make love to you, something he hadn’t really done with anyone else. But to make love to you and you only? He was willing, no craved that with you. Craved to have your hands running all over his body, pulling him close as you came all around him. It was a chant the way he moaned your name, head thrown back as he felt himself getting closer, getting off to the thought of you when you were just in his office a few minutes ago.
"Need her. Need her here to take me." His head was filled with the thoughts of you taking him, how pretty you would look underneath him. It was enough to make him pump once, twice, and unleash the desire that was below in his stomach.
He came all over his hand and on his shirt, not being able to stop as fast as he thought he would. It came over him quickly, his obscene fantasies of you taking over his actions. He looked down to see the mess he made over you, and how he wished it could’ve been with you on your knees while he came on your face or on your body, or better yet, inside you. The lines permanently blurred with his seed in you. He sighed, cleaning up his mess as he knew that he couldn’t walk out in this state and resigned himself to trying to not want you, although his attempts were going to be futile as he didn’t think he could, not when he could feel that somewhere in there that you wanted him too.

the one when y/n visits harry while he’s making hs2 and magic mushrooms are involved
authors note: this is apart of my ‘grumpy’ series, a bit of info that is in that story does fall into this blurb too so reading it first would be good. but it isn’t necessary. on a side note, i have no personal experience of doing shrooms, but i’ve seen people on them so i sort of wrote from that little bit of info i have. hope you guys like it! :)
authors note part 2: i want to warn you it’s a bit long for a blurb, also if you’re uncomfortable with drug use than majority of this won’t be for you.
grumpy fic page // masterlist // talk to me about it!
Making the move from New York to LA was necessary. Not only with your career lifting up, gathering another client to manager, but also with your boyfriend now spending most of his time here o record his second solo album. Also California was home. As much as you enjoyed the city life of New York, you knew nothing would ever be like home was.
“I’ll see you tomorrow mom,” you say aloud, your call connected through the Bluetooth of your car. She had given you her typical weekly call as you were driving down to Malibu.
“Alright sweetie,” she says. “Please do call before you come over, and you’re sure Harry will like Ribollita?” She mentions, again, of the traditional Italian meal she was planning to make.
“He’ll eat and enjoy anything you put in front of him, mom,” you say. “I’m at the security booth, so I need to go now,” you explain as the security guard on duty of the studio here in Malibu that Harry had been holed up in for a couple days now.
“Alright sweetie, love you,” your mother says.
“Love you too, bye!”
The call ends just as you ease your car to a stop at the security booth, hitting the button to your left just once for your window to automatically roll down. The security guard pulls out a clipboard and gives you a short smile.
“ID please,”
“Right,” you sigh, putting your car in park quickly in order to reach over the console to grab ahold of your purse that was at the floor of the passenger seat. Searching through it, you finally find your wallet near the bottom and slide out your ID. “Here you go,” you say with a smile as you hand it over.
The guard looks it over, checking if your facial features match, before scribbling something on the clipboard and handing back the ID card. He then hands over a parking pass for you before pressing a button and then gates open for you.
It doesn’t surprise you that Harry’s recording in a beach house that half had been turned into a studio that’s highly secure. Seeing as Jeff’s father owned a few places in this community it made sense that Harry had taken over one of the homes for himself and his team. The homes themselves were stunning. A dream home of yours, of course, so you were fully enjoying stopping by whenever you had the chance and getting to experience being in one of the most gorgeous houses you’d ever step inside.
It was two levels, a full garage attached too, with a large wrap around porch to complete it. It was a grey colour with white trim along the windows and the porch was white too. With perfect landscaping around it too. The ocean was a bit away but it still made a beautiful view, so there was a backyard too with many bushes and trees lining the property for privacy matters.
After parking your car, you walk up the small path to the front doors and walk inside the house. It smells like there’s a few candles burning close by, filling the air with the lovely aroma. You’re kicking off your flip flops just as you hear the familiar jingle of one of Harry’s producers dogs. The gorgeous French Bulldog comes straight to you, breathing heavy as you bend down and give him all your love and attention.
“Oh, Mr Judy I missed you too,” you coo at the dog, cupping his face for only a second before he’s licking at your hands. Your heart bursts at his licks, oh how you wanted a dog of your own. Too bad life was just too busy.
You pick Judy up in your arms and begin your walk down the hallway to what would be a guest bedroom with an ensuite and full walk in closet but it was renovated into a studio. The walk in closet was now the recording booth, and there was no bed in the bedroom. Just a loveseat, a couple chairs, and many different switch boards and other confusing recording gear you had no idea about. You’re muttering silly questions that you know Judy can’t answer about his day and how he’s feeling as you walk into the room.
It’s dimly light, curtains hiding away any daylight that could seep into the room. A few candles are in fact burning on the coffee table that’s set between the love seat and the recording gear. The usual three faces you’ve grown to know over the past month or so are all seated around the room as you walk in, smiling at each of them. While the whereabouts of your boyfriend is quickly answered as you hear his voice over the speakers set up within the room. You put Judy down and turn to look through the window that was installed to look into the recording booth. Harry’s head is hung back as he belts out another mesmerizing note into the microphone.
“He sounds great,” you sigh as Harry finishes singing whatever backing vocals he was doing and he’s then scribbling something down in that same worn out brown leather journal you knew he held close to him every single day.
“Yeah, he’s really been on a roll today,” Tyler, one of the two producers/mixers/who plays every single interment known to man for Harry’s songs - and Judy’s owner - states before hitting a few buttons on the switch boards in front of him.
“We’ve written almost two full songs, and it’s not even the evening yet,” Kid states from where he’s sitting on the loveseat.
“Damn,” you breathe out and rest your hands on your hips just as Harry’s eyes flicker up and find you standing in the room.
He lifts, what you assume is a glass of red wine, to his lips for a long sip before he sets it on the small table in the recording booth and takes off the headphones he had on. He steps out of the booth and has his arms around you in an instant. You are grinning as he’s squeezing your body tight, as though he’s trying to melt the two of you together.
“Hey,” you chuckle, brushing a hand through his mess of hair quickly before the embrace is over.
“Hey, thought you’d be here earlier,” Harry pouts.
“I just had to do a few things for Meghan’s bachelorette party tomorrow night,” you shrug. Your second client that you started to manage just this past year, Meghan Trainor, was getting married in a month so it’s been more personal things you’ve been helping her with than business. Not that you were complaining, you loved weddings.
“Her big days coming up soon,” Harry hums before you two are sitting together on the loveseat with Kid. You opt for sitting on the arm of the couch, not wanting to squish with Harry and Kid already sitting on the smaller area.
“Yup,” you nod.
All of you continue to make talk of how things have been. Seems Harrys a bit of a lyrical genius in the moment, scribbling down in his journal as everyone is talking. He’s sipping his red wine, smiling, and honestly in one of the best moods you’ve seen him in in a while. You reach over and touch his arm, catching his attention away from whatever he was looking at on his phone.
“Did you guys want me to make those pizzas now?” You ask, referring to the plan you had of making homemade pizzas since Kid had gone grocery shopping to buy what you needed.
“Yeah, we could eat now,” Harry nods.
You give him a smile before standing up and telling the others that you were going to get started on making dinner. Judy gets up from where he was laying by Tyler and follows you out to the kitchen. You can her the light sound of whatever song they’re working on as you are making the pizzas, moving your head along to the beat and swaying your hips too.
It’s when the pizzas are just about ready to get out of the oven that Harry joins you in the kitchen. He’s by your side in an instant, snaking his arms around your waist as you’re typing a response to another email. Harry rests his chin on your shoulder, waiting patiently for you to quit typing and pay him attention - shockingly.
“Pizza is just about done,” you say.
“It smells good,” he states, but then he’s rubbing his face into the nook of your neck and brushing your hair back and forth. “You smell good too,” he adds, mumbling close to your ear.
“Do I?” You taunt, giggling as he tickles you slightly.
“Mhmm,” Harry hums, “like strawberries,”
“It’s my new shampoo,”
“Well, I quite like it,”
You’re turning in his arms then, bringing yours to rest at his shoulders as he’s leaning down and pressing his lips against yours. It feels like years since you’ve last shared a long passionate kiss, in reality it’s only been about a day now but you’ve missed his touch and affection. But you supposed his focus needed to be on making this new album.
“Missed you,” Harry mumbles as he plants a kiss to your neck.
“I missed you too,” you sigh.
“Will you stay over here tonight?” Harry asks, looking in your eyes now. You can see the lustful spark in his gaze. The thought of having sex causes your core to ache, sending a shiver down your spine too. But sleeping over wasn’t your original plan, you had lots of things to do tomorrow and you were hoping to get a good nights sleep tonight.
“I don’t know,” you sigh. Harry pouts. “I’m just really busy right now with work, I should get home tonight,” you explanation doesn’t change his facial expression at all. Seems your wine drunk boyfriend was feeling extra needy today.
Just as you’re about to kiss him again, Judy starts barking. You turn out of Harry’s grasp and look to see what he’s barking at. Harry grunts and groans, obviously grumpy that Judy stole your attention away from him. Looking to see Judy was simply barking at the sight of people on the beach, you reach down to pet Judy before turning back to where Harry stood in the kitchen. The scowl on his face makes you laugh.
“Oh how I love that dashing scowl,” you joke.
“I’m sure you do,” Harry says deadpan.
You roll your eyes and give him a quick peck before reaching for the oven mitts sitting on the counter beside him and opening the oven to take out the pizzas. Harry mutters that he’ll go get the others for food before he’s walking out of the room, leaving you to cut the pizzas and get the plates ready for everyone to eat.
It’s not till after dinner that Harry and the guys bring up what they had planned for the evening. And it wasn’t something you would have guessed in a million years.
“Magic mushrooms?” You question, eyebrows raised up.
“Yeah, get the creative juices flowing maybe,” Harry shrugs, finishing off his glass of wine - the bottle was nearly finished now.
“Or just have a good trip,” Tyler nods with a smile. You chuckle and shake your head.
You’ve maybe smoked a bit of weed before, obviously have drank liquor before, but anything else was completely and utterly new for you. And not something you really had planned to give a try either. Harry nudges you with his elbow, knocking you out of your thoughts. You look at him and he smile. His grumpy mood didn’t last too long after you guys all ate. In fact, right now talking about doing these magic mushrooms he looks pretty happy.
“Let’s do it,” he says, “I’ve never tried them before either, it’ll be an experience together,” he exclaims.
You sigh and lean back into the couch. Tyler has the bag of them in his hand, mentioning that he was going to make it into a tea before. You keep your eyes on the bag though as you think of your option here. It would be quite the experience to have. Doing psychedelics isn’t nearly as extreme as the other drugs in the world. And you were going to do them in a very control environment with people you trusted. You look back at Harry and let out another sigh.
“Okay,” you say, “I’m in,”
Harry grins, leaning over to kiss you as Tyler is walking out of the room to get this magic mushroom tea ready for you all to do. It was only you, Harry, Tyler and Kid now - the other producer having left after dinner. Harry’s hand on your thigh breaks you away from your thoughts again.
“Are you excited?” He asks.
You shrug a shoulder, “I don’t know, kinda I guess, just never like thought I’d do shrooms,” you explain.
“I think it’ll be fun though,” he nods, giving your thigh a squeeze.
“All I’m saying is if I have a bad trip, you’re one hundred percent in charge of helping me,” you say, pointing a finger at him. Harry chuckles and takes the hand you’re pointing at him in his hand, bringing you closer to him as he tugs you into his side.
“I’ve got you, love, don’t you worry,” he says.
You only respond with an eye roll, but Harry’s quick to return it. He has his arm around you and is pulling you into his side in a fact movement, causing you to giggle. He places a sweet kiss to your forehead as you snuggle into his body, His arm stays around your body, while his other pulls out his cell phone from his pocket. The two of you scroll through his Instagram together, you’d reach up a finger to double tap a few posts for him.
And then, within what feels like no time at all, Tyler is coming back into the room with what going to be your first time doing some real drugs. You sigh while hiding your head into Harry’s side. He chuckles as you mutter something about how your father must be looking down on you, feeling oh so proud.
“Okay,” you say while sitting up. Harry’s already got your cup in his hand, ready to hand it to you. “Let’s freaking do this,” you say dramatically and take the cup of magic mushroom tea.
“Just drink it normally,” Tyler instructs just as he has taken a sip of his own cup. “It’ll take a few moments to kick in, and then we’ll be having a good time,” he says with a smile.
“Cool,” you mutter.
“Cool,” Harry mocks you, smiling over the rim of his cup before taking a sip of his tea.
You stick out your tongue at him before having the first sip of your own tea. It taste normal, just like a more earthy tea with a spoon of sugar in it maybe. You sit back and have another sip as Kid starts talking about a song they must’ve been recording earlier. As you sit back and relax into the couch, sipping your tea, you realize that you’ve nearly drank half maybe a little too quickly. Making an ‘oops’ face, you set down the tea on the coffee table just as Harry gets up to check out whatever on the switch board that Kid and Tyler had to show him.
You’re laying on the couch looking up at the ceiling in no time once you realize you have the couch to yourself. Harry’s in the booth, his voice seeming low and slow as you shut your eyes and listen to him record a few lines over and over again. When you open your eyes, you focus on your cup of tea and decide to lean up and finish it - if you were doing this, you were doing it all.
After the cup is empty, you sit up a bit and zone out on a poster hung up on the wall across from you. It’s a Led Zepplin poster, vintage obviously, as it’s from when they performed sometime here in LA. Oh how you’d love to have lived back then, you think with a sigh.
“Y/N,” Harry calls out your name, bringing your attention away from the poster.
“Huh?”
Harry chuckles, giving you a heart melting grin, “I’ve tried getting your attention for like five minutes now,” he states.
“Oh,”
“Been staring at that poster for a while,” Tyler adds, “feeling it?” He smirks, seeming to finish off his own cup of tea now before setting the empty cup by yours. There’s the other two empty on the table suddenly too. Suppose everyone finished their tea while you were zoned out.
"Yeah, I feel good,” you say with a smile.
“We think this song’s about done,” Harry states, taking a seat beside you on the couch. “I wanted you to listen to it,” he adds. He gives you a small smile now, but it’s still as heart melting as his grin.
“I’d love to,” you nod. Tyler turns around and hits a button on the board, one of the millions, and then the song is playing.
What do you mean,
I’m sorry by the way
Never coming back down
Harry’s voice fills the room, causing your stomach to fill with butterflies. You felt so proud of him. Just as you did when you first heard his songs for his first album. You recognize the backing vocals from what he must’ve been recording when you first arrived. It’s amazing, you think, feeling like the shrooms are only enhancing how much you love this song.
“It’s so good,” you sigh, leaning into Harry as the song ends. You close your eyes as his hand falls onto your thigh. “Play it again,” you say. Harry chuckles, then the song starts over again as per your request. Harry is tapping your thigh to the beat, sending a shiver down your spine.
“I see,” you stop talking as you realize it’s simply word vomit from the shrooms in your system. Harry turns to you and smiles.
“What do you see, babe?” He questions.
“It’s nothing,” you shake your head.
“No, I value your thoughts. You know what your talking about,” he assures you.
“Okay,” you sigh and close your eyes as Harry’s song keeps playing softly. “I see you surrounded by people. Sort of pulling and pushing at you, but not roughly, almost like they’re being lured to you and your aura or something. And you’re just letting them touch you and singing to the camera, maybe stumbling a bit at the contact. And,” you pause, opening your eyes and zoning out on the magazine on the coffee table. “And you’re shirtless,” you say.
“Sounds like one hell of a time,” Kid snorts, you look up to catch him smirking while clicking away at his laptop. The song starts over again.
“I like it,” Harry nods.
“Me too,” you agree.
“Well duh,” Harry teases, pushing your knee gently with his hand. You sway back and forth, it feels like you’re moving a lot slower than you must be. “You thought it up, genesis.” Harry states.
“Oh,” you giggle, “right.”
“You’re so fucked,” Harry says.
“Maybe,” you giggle again. You don’t think you’ve giggled this much in your whole life. Lifting your eyes from the switch board across the room, you look at Harry now. He’s staring right back at you. He didn’t seem as fucked up.
“M’pretty fucked up too,” he admits. It’s almost like he’s read your mind as you thought of wether or not he was as fucked up as you. “No, not as bad as you, babe,” Harry chuckles.
“Oh, I’m not just thinking this am I?” You question, realizing you were speaking your thoughts aloud.
“No,” Harry smiles.
You shrug and look over his shoulder as the little bit of daylight coming through the window behind him. The suns probably going to go down in a couple hours. You sigh and lean forward, elbows resting on your knees as you think of standing. Why did it seem like such a hard task to do though?
“Let me help you, love,” Harry mutters as he stands up first. He grabs your hands and lifts you up without warning, causing you to nearly fall right into him.
“Let’s go outside, lay out back maybe?”
“On the porch? Sure,” Harry shrugs, then turns to his team. “You guys want to come?” He asks.
The group says some sort of yes answer and then you’re leading the way. Thankfully Judy gets the memo and gets up from his bed as quickly as he can, following you out the back door and his paws make way down the few steps to the grass. You smile and skip down the steps, grabbing one of the many toys around to play with him. Not even five minutes pass before you’re giving up on fetch and sitting down on the grass, then kicking your legs out and laying on your back.
The clouds seem to be moving faster then life itself. Forming funny shapes to make you giggle to yourself. Judy nudges you’re arm a few times, to which you respond by petting him. He’s so soft.
“He just got a bath today,” Harry states as he comes up beside you. You look to him. The purple and pink skies behind him make him look even prettier than ever. “You’re the pretty one, babe,” he says with a smile.
“Can’t seem to keep my thoughts to myself,” you hum while shutting your eyes for a moment.
Harry chuckles. He’s bending down, deciding to lay down with you.
“It’s like that voice in my head is completely gone,” you say.
“That voice in your head used to hate me,” Harry states. You furrow your brows dramatically and snap your head to look at him. Harry’s green eyes are already on you. “What,” he snorts and looks back up at the fading purples of the sky, “you used to hate me. Used to yell at me all the time. I’m sure that voice inside your head would curse me out more than you ever said aloud,” he explains. You think maybe Harry has lost that voice in his head too now, maybe the shrooms are effecting him the same way.
“I was constantly fighting my voice in my head through all those years before,” you sigh and find your gaze back on the sky too. “It was always finding the best in your grumpy moods and bad decisions ever since I first met you. And I would have constant battles with myself, usually talking to myself when I was alone even, fighting about how I could not let myself fall for you.”
“You talked to yourself when you were alone?” Harry questions, letting out a chuckle, “fucking weirdo,” he adds. You throw your arm over and smack him in the chest. He chuckles some more as he lets out a small groan.
He’s leaning over you in more fast movements that you can’t even focus on how he moved so quickly. It was for sure the drugs effecting you. But you know that it’s not the drugs when you feel those butterflies in you stomach reacting to how close Harry’s face is to yours. You give him a smile and pucker your lips, asking for a kiss.
“Needy,” Harry mutters. You roll your eyes but it’s cut short as Harry gives you what you want. His lips feel a hundred times softer than ever before. You could melt right there on the grass from how his kiss made you feel - maybe the drugs were effecting how Harry made your body feel.
“Do you even have anything to say on how I said I used to fight my feelings in my head?” You ask, not even realizing how you’re whining at your boyfriend. Harry folds his hands on your stomach and rests his chin on them.
“I think it’s hard to believe we didn’t end up like this earlier than just last year,” he states.
“Really?” You snort. “We did not get along, but you are you and I can’t deny that some times I was just trying to find the good in your grumpy self.”
“And I always found you attractive,” Harry states nonchalantly. “Especially when you were yelling at me,” he adds with a quick nod.
“So all the time then?” You joke.
“Pretty much,” Harry says, the corners of his lips turning up into a smirk.
“Cute,” you hum.
Harry rolls his eyes at you before he’s leaning forward to kiss you once more. You sigh into the kiss and let the effects of the magic mushrooms make you feel like you’re melting into him again. Harry and you share the passionate kiss under the sunset for a while till you two decide that you need to breathe again.
“You should go make more beautiful music,” you say.
Harry sighs and sits up, “becomes a big hot shot manager in the industry and now you think you can boss me around, hey?”
“Baby, I’ve always been bossing you around,” you state, propping yourself up on your elbows as Harry begins to stand up now. Judy gets excited at his actions, letting out a few barks too. “And you love it,” you add while petting Judy.
“Only cause I love you,” Harry says, offering a hand to help you up. You take it and it feels like you’re flying into the air as he lifts you up to your feet. Letting out a little gasp, you grab onto his arm tight and let your body settle once standing fully.
“Well,” you smile at Harry. “I love you too, I guess,” you say.
“Mhmm,” Harry hums. You roll your eyes at him before leaning to crash your lips to his yet again. You cut it short though, causing Harry to furrow his brows at you and pout.
“Go make music,” you say and give him a little push. Harry rolls his eyes at you now, a scowl finding his face before he’s walking up to the back porch with his feet dragging behind him. “Grumpy,” you mutter, but there’s no stopping the smile that’s on your face - and there’s no blaming the magic mushrooms on the overwhelming love you felt for Harry.

How To Pick The Best Garage Door
How to Find the Best Garage Door
If you want to maximize the value of your home, you'll find garage doors are an easy and affordable method to increase your home's curb appeal. A good garage door will distinguish it from the rest of the neighborhood. For something extra special, custom made garage doors can be designed to your specifications.
The most common types of garage doors are: Retractable, Canopy Side, and Hinged Sectional Retractable. Where limited space in your driveway is an issue, sectional garage doors are the right choice. They open and shut vertically, allowing cars to park very close to the door without keeping it from opening. Among the wide variety of designs, the most popular garage doors are sectional, upward acting, and self storing.
The Types of Garage Doors
Gone are the old manual doors. Today you'll find that remote controlled and motorized garage doors have produced a more usable garage. The most popular style is the overhead garage door.
The primary concern in planning your garage door is the material used. Selecting the best garage door materials for your needs will depend on a few things like the style of your home, and how warm you want your garage to be. There are 3 main materials for garage door construction: Wood, Steel and Fiberglass (GRP).
When you're planning to install a garage door, you must consider door type and materials. You can also incorporate into your plan such things as heated garages or unique window options.
The Most Popular Style is the Overhead Garage Door
Overhead garage doors are by far the most popular type of garage door available to homeowners. With automatic stop and begin features, people find overhead garage doors easy to use, with wonderful options and safety features.
Overhead garage doors work with a rolling system. The door rolls up and stores along the roof of the garage. Overhead door features to look for are that they are smooth, quiet and compact. Installing an overhead garage door is simple; do it yourself, or get help from the manufacturer. Popular garage door manufacturers include Garaga, Liftmaster, Raynor or DBCI.
The Appeal of Wood
Wood garage doors are preferred more for their appearance and affordability than for their durability.
You can select wood types like solid cedar for a durable garage door, which will last for years and look wonderful. Sections of roll-up wood doors may have either panel or flush construction. For panel doors, manufacturers fit several separate, rectangular panels into a wooden frame. Flush sections are made by fastening a plywood panel on top of a wooden frame.
The main disadvantage to a wooden garage door is that wood expands and contracts and can warp or crack as it weathers. It demands re-painting or refinishing every couple of years to keep it looking good and in top condition.
Steel Garage Doors Have Many Advantages
The main advantage to steel garage doors is that they won't warp, crack, or fall apart because of weather. With no painting or refinishing requirements, steel doors are a low maintenance possibility that will keep your home looking stylish. Nowadays most steel garage doors are made of hot-dipped galvanized steel that is vinyl clad or given a baked on polyester finish. They will not rust or require repainting like wooden doors.
Another important advantage of steel garage doors is that they achieve the look of wood without the maintenance. Some have grained steel skins that can be stained to look just like wood. A design mimicking carriage house doors has become quite popular for nearly a decade. Some manufacturers use composite or vinyl boards on the exterior of a steel door to make it look like an outward swinging door.
The only disadvantage to steel doors is that they dent and can be difficult to repair. A premium door is often 2 inches thick, filled with insulation, and clad in 24-gauge steel. Less-expensive doors are usually thinner and made of 28 gauge steel. So steel offers real benefits over wood; it costs less and it needs much less maintenance and with can look just like wood.
The Assets of Fiberglass
Fiberglass, sometimes called GRP, garage doors are chosen for locations where light is important or in salty ocean climates. GRP garage doors need only mild exterior cleaning to retain their quality finish. They generally they do not need to be stained or finished. The most popular style for a GRP garage door is the retractable garage door. Fiberglass is a tough and durable material which will keep looking good for years.
Conclusions
Each of garage door material has its own benefits: Steel up and over doors are sturdy and give great value for money; wood doors are insulated and have an appealing look, and fiberglass up and over garage doors are extremely low maintenance offering a timber effect without the maintenance of real wood. Which ever you pick you'll be sure that it will elevate the curb appeal and the value of your home, and increase your feeling of security.

Dream a Little Dream (of me)
This fic was written for @beckzorz and her 1K writing challenge!  My prompt was Drive Through. Thank you for being so kind and welcoming to me as I’m coming into this side of the fandom!! *mwah*
[One Shot: Bucky Barnes x Reader, 4679 words, Mature/Explicit Rating]
You’re lying on the couch in the common area, with nothing to do and nowhere to be. It’s a gorgeous day, the first day of Summer, and you’ve got that itch in your bones to get out and get moving. Nat is watching something ridiculous on the enormous TV, Thor’s making cookies and you’re not entirely sure what Bruce and Tony are doing over in the corner, but it involves a fair amount of swearing and the occasional small explosion, but when you look over, there are no visible flames, so you figure they’ve got it under control.
“What the hell is that?” you hear a gruff voice ask, and you sit bolt upright to see Sergeant James Barnes, Bucky to his friends but not to you, not yet, hanging over the back of the sofa where you’ve been lounging, staring at the television.
You’re newer to the team, Tony originally brought you into Stark Industries to work with him on tech design, but you were folded into the Avengers when a latent precognitive talent became not-so-latent after a slight electrocution mishap. You’ve been working closely with Wanda, but it’s a difficult gift, not easily subject to control.
It’s given you one thing, though. You’ve known for a while now what Bucky will be to you, you’re just waiting for him to catch up. You know what you've seen.
“It’s miniature golf,” Nat replies, not lifting her eyes from the screen. “It’s the International Finals.”
Bucky stares for a moment and then nods in recognition. “Putt-Putt, I remember.”
Your heart breaks a bit. You know his story, of course, there’s not a soul in America who doesn’t, and you’ve been witness to the battles he’s fought to come back to himself. He’s the bravest person you’ve ever met, and you’d want to know him even if… well, no matter what. He tends to stick closest to the people he trusts - Steve, of course, Nat, and Sam. But you’ve had a couple of late night conversations over ice cream, and you know he’s smart as hell and has a dry and sharp wit that’s left you laughing. He’s not bad to look at either, and your eyes widen as you glance up at him leaning over you.
“You shaved!” you say without thinking and he glances down at you.
“You keeping an eye on me?” he asks and you can feel your cheeks heat up.
“Maybe.” You toss him a wink, and he just stares at you. “Got a hot date?”
He snorts, and says only, “Nah, got nothing going on this week,” not looking away.
You see the moment it happens, as he looks at you, really looks at you, and you watch his expression change from that of a leader appraising a teammate to something else. Something new. You see the way his eyes drop from yours, down to your mouth and the way they flick back up. Your smile widens.
You sit up and stretch, watching the way he watches you, and nod towards the TV.
“You’ve played?”
He shrugs. “I don’t know. Can’t remember.”
You get to your feet, suddenly itchy to get out and hit the road, have some fun. As you make your way over the stairs that lead up to your quarters, his voice stops you.
“Where’re you going?”
You shrug as he wanders closer, and you pause, halfway up the staircase. You can tell Nat’s listening to every word, even though she’s still watching the TV as if fascinated.
“I need to get out. Take a drive. Go see something of the world.”
He looks intrigued. “You drive?”
Tony snorts from across the room and you laugh. “Do I drive? Sergeant Barnes, it’s like you don’t even know me. Yeah,” you give him a bold once-over. “I drive.”
He lifts one eyebrow and then shocks everyone in the room (including himself if his expression is anything to go by) when he says, “You want some company?”
You freeze, wondering if this is it, if this is how things change and then you let the smile spread over your face.
“Meet me on P3 by the elevator in an hour.” You turn to head upstairs and then toss over your shoulder, “Oh, and Sergeant Barnes? Bring an overnight bag, we’ll be staying the night.”
An hour later you head to the elevator, butterflies jumping in your stomach. You’ve checked the weather and it’s gorgeous where you’re headed. You’ve showered and changed, and you’re wearing a shirtdress in a cheerful green floral print and your favorite comfortable ballet flats. You’ve got your purse over one shoulder and you’re carrying your battered leather duffle bag in one hand. When you exit the elevator to the parking garage, you see Bucky standing there waiting for you.
His eyes widen as he takes you in. He’s obviously showered and changed as well, wearing dark wash jeans, and a white t-shirt under a black leather jacket. There’s a bag sitting at his feet and he’s leaning against the wall waiting for you, and your heart starts to race.
You feign nonchalance as you approach him, pulling your keys out of your purse as you do so.
“You ready, Sergeant?” you ask and he smiles.
“You think you might see your way to calling me Bucky?” he asks, and the sight of his grin makes something inside you take flight. “Seeing as we’re going on a road trip?”
“You ready for an adventure?” you ask, and he nods. “Well then, Bucky,” and you see his lips quirk at the sound of his name, “Follow me.”
You make your way down the dimly-lit walkway towards the far corner of the garage, Bucky walking quietly next to you. As you get closer, you click the lock and grin at the answering flash of tail lights ahead in the darkness.
“All right,” you say grandly, as you approach the car, “I want you to meet my baby. Baby? This is Bucky.”
“This is your car?” Bucky breathes, and you meet his eyes. “I’m impressed.”
You pop open the trunk and toss your bag in, and Bucky does the same.
“I don’t suppose...” he says with a grin, and you start to laugh.
“Nope, not a chance,” you say, opening the passenger side door and he laughs and climbs in.
You hop in and start the car. You pause to tie a scarf around your hair, and then, glancing sideways at Bucky, you hit the button and the cloth top of your ‘85 classic cherry red Mercedes convertible starts to fold down and he looks up with such a look of delight that you catch your breath.
“Tony get his hands on this?” he asks as you back out of the parking space, and you snort.
“He’d love to. I let him install a security system and he insisted on upgrading the stereo.” You laugh, remembering the day Tony had come across you tinkering under the hood, how he’d insisted on you taking him for a ride immediately, the way he’d Facetime’d Pepper from the car to show her.
“But other than that, no. No one gets under my Baby’s hood but me.”
Bucky looks impressed. “You do all your own work.”
“Do my own work?” You scoff. “Barnes, I rebuilt this baby from the engine out.”
You’re out of the garage now, and you shove on your favorite sunglasses as you make your way east across town to get onto the FDR. You’re surprised that he hasn’t asked where you’re going, and you have to admit, you’re impressed, and you say as much to him.
He leans back, watching the city streets slide by as you drive.
“What can I say? A beautiful woman invites me on an adventure, I figure, I’m putting myself in your hands, and besides,” he shrugs and you glance at him as you stop for a red light, “I trust you.”
You cough, to hide the way your voice breaks as you say, “You do?”
Bucky nods. “Anyway, I got nothing going on for the next couple of days, and really, there’s nowhere I’d rather be.”
Conversation flows easily as you leave the city behind, and make your way to CT and then north. You argue over music, movies, and books, and Bucky has you laughing as he describes some of his adjustment woes to this century.
You can see the way he watches everything around him: the other cars on the road, the scenery flying by. He doesn’t miss anything and you wonder what it would be like to have his laser-focus attention trained on you.
Before you know it, a few hours have passed and you see the sign for your exit. You feel him turning to you with a questioning glance as you make your way onto a small state highway that hugs the coast, the ocean sparkling off to your right. You know exactly where you are, navigating easily as you smile at the familiar landscape. Finally, Bucky caves.
“Okay, where are we going?”
“Truman’s Bay, Rhode Island,” you says easily. “Small beach town, about a half-hour south of Narragansett. The most amazing burgers you’ve ever had from Ivy’s drive-through, and the biggest mini golf course in the state.”
Bucky snorts. “I mean, it’s a small state.”
“Hush, you,” you say with a laugh and you hear his chuckle.
You glance over and Bucky’s looking out the window at the rolling surf, and you can see by the curve of his cheek that he’s smiling.
“You brought me three hours for burgers and mini golf?”
“I did,” you agree, and turn onto the street where you can see the sign for Ivy’s up ahead. “I like to get food and then drive out to the picnic area at the point. You can’t get down to the beach there, but it’s awfully pretty.”
Bucky shrugs. “It’s your party, sweetheart, I’m just along for the ride.”
Twenty minutes later, you’re sitting at the picnic area, the bags of food on the table in front of you. The wind is kicking off the ocean, and you grab your sweater from the car, dropping the scarf onto the front seat.
You hand Bucky his double cheeseburger and fries and take a sip of your iced tea before biting into your own burger and moaning with pleasure.
Bucky takes a bite and then closes his eyes in appreciation. “Jesus, Y/N,” he breathes, “This lives up to the hype. How do you know about this place?”
You swallow, look away. “Spent my early years here,” you say finally. “My mom took off when I was born, so it was just me and my dad. He died when I was 10, and I went into the system, spend the next eight years in Providence.”
There’s a long pause and then Bucky says only, “That sounds rough.”
You shrug, not meeting his eyes. “When I was 18, I aged out. I’d been in trade school, auto mechanics. My foster mom at the time, she’s a good one, hooked me up with her brother. He runs a shop in Brooklyn.”
“Oh.” Understanding fills Bucky’s eyes. “You worked on Steve’s bike.”
You nod. “I had no idea who he was, the first time he came by. I didn’t figure it out until he brought Tony in. He was just, you know, Stevie from Brooklyn.”
Bucky grins. “He loved it, that you didn’t know. He talked about how smart you were, and then when you got hurt, man.” He shakes his head.
“Well,” you say, looking around, not wanting to follow those memories, “It all turned out okay.”
“You miss working in the shop?” Bucky asks casually, finished his burger and wiping his chin.
You laugh. “Nah, I still get over there to see the guys, but man, the tech I get to work on now.”
You describe some of your current projects, waving your hands excitedly as you talk about the things you’re helping design, and you look up to see Bucky gazing at you fondly.
“Anyway,” you say, crumpling up your trash. “What do you say to some mini golf?”
He just smiles at you, lazy in the bright sun of the gorgeous afternoon and then says, “Anything you want, just lead the way.”
When you pull into the mini golf place, the parking lot is almost entirely full, and you frown in surprise. “I didn’t think it’d be this busy, it’s not even 5:00 yet,” but as you approach, you can see the reason why. ICE CREAM FESTIVAL a large sign proclaims, and you can see tables and vendor booths set up at the edge of the parking lot.
“Oh, man,” you say, grabbing Bucky’s hand without thinking and tugging him forward, his fingers curling firmly around yours. “I’d forgotten about this. I remember my dad bringing me to this years ago.” You turn to Bucky, grinning. “I puked right over there,” you say happily, pointing over to a large tree at the far edge of the lot, and Bucky laughs.
“I bet you were a cute kid,” he murmurs and you roll your eyes.
“Maybe I’ll show you pictures someday,” you say casually, and he just looks at you and for a moment, it’s as if the whole world stands still, and his eyes meet yours and neither of you looks away, neither of you even breathe, and then he exhales.
“I’ll hold you to that,” he says and raises your hand to his lips to press a kiss to the backs of your fingers, and a feeling of deja vu comes over you and you realize, you’ve Seen this.
“What?” he asks, seeing your expression change, but you just shake your head.
You get in line for mini golf, and you laugh at Bucky’s face as he takes in the course, with the windmill and the huge sphinx and the waterfall. You play the course, and it’s clear that you’re both competitive. You’ve got more experience but Bucky’s got that whole super soldier sniper thing on his side, and you end up neck and neck as you come into the 18th hole. Bucky makes his shot in two moves and you frown.
“Okay, Barnes,” you say, wiggling your eyebrows at him. “This one’s for the game, big boy, and I’m feeling lucky.”
“Hmm,” Bucky says, coming up behind and leaning in to say in your ear, “What would you say to a friendly wager?”
“Like… loser pays for dinner?” you ask, focusing on setting up your shot.
“Boooring,” he sing-songs and for a moment you think you can feel his breath on your neck and you shiver. “Loser grants the winner… a boon.”
“A boon?” you snort, lining up, “Yeah, that’s fine, that’s…” and then just as you go to take your shot, you feel Bucky’s lips brush across your neck and your shot goes wild, caroming off the green and into the river running merrily through the course, and mournfully you watch your little purple ball sail away.
You turn to Bucky who is studiously looking away, whistling a bit, and you advance on him, waving your club.
“You did that on purpose,” you shout, trying not to laugh at the look of feigned innocence that he plasters across his face. “Jerk!”
“Did what?” Bucky laughs, ducking out of the way as you take a half-hearted swing at him. “You can’t prove anything! Bad luck and all that, but I think this means… I’m the winner?”
“Uggh, fine,” you say, turning away, “I’ll pay for dinner.”
“Oh no,” Bucky says, falling into step next to you, tossing his ball nonchalantly, “A boon. You promised me a boon.”
The two of you turn in your clubs and as you leave the course, you grumble, “What even is that, a boon?”
Bucky shrugs and threads his fingers through yours. “I’ll let you know when I think of it. What now?”
You consider for a moment. “Get ice cream and I’ll show you the walking path along the ocean. Then we can find a place to stay for tonight. Have dinner and wander around town? That’s about all there is to do.”
Bucky smiles at you, slow and sweet, and you realize as he pulls you towards the ice cream vendors, that after this trip, nothing will ever be the same again.
After you finish your ice cream, strawberry for Bucky and Earl Grey tea for you, you hop back in the car.
“There’s a hotel in town,” you say, “We can see if they have rooms.”
The parking lot of the hotel is crowded, and you feel a bit anxious. You’ve always been somewhat of a spontaneous sort, and you’ve never had trouble finding a place to stay, but that looks like it could change tonight. You hope not, you’ve always loved this hotel, with its large back patio and old-fashioned carousel overlooking the ocean, and for some reason that you really don’t want to examine too closely, you want to share this with Bucky.
                                                     ******
“One room,” you repeat blankly and the clerk nods.
“It’s the Festival in Narragansett this weekend, we’re pretty booked up even this far away,” she says, sounding bored. “You want the room?”
You stare at Bucky and he stares back, and you realize, he’s purposefully not saying anything, letting you make the decision. You could get back in the car, keep driving, try and find another place, or you could just… surrender, and you realize as you take a deep breath, you already know what you’re going to do.
You turn back to the clerk with a smile. “We’ll take the room,” you say, and hand over your credit card.
It’s quiet between you as you ride the elevator to the 5th floor, but you can feel the anticipation rising in the way Bucky glances sideways at you, the way his hand brushes yours as you stare straight ahead. You make your way down the hall, and then you open the door, and Bucky waves you in ahead of him.
You walk in and drop your bag, turning to survey the room, and you swallow. There’s only one bed.
The room is beautiful. It’s large, facing the ocean and when you open the curtains, you’re delighted to find sliders out to a small balcony with two chairs and a tiny table. It’s also, you realize, familiar. You’ve Seen this room, this view to the ocean, this bed. You open the doors to hear the ocean, and then set down your purse on the dresser and turn to find Bucky watching you.
“Y/N,” he whispers, walking towards you. “Is this…? Are you…?”
“Yes,” you whisper as his hand reaches up and he drags his fingers across your jaw, “Oh god, Bucky, yes,” and then his mouth descends to yours and you’re lost.
He kisses you fiercely, and you give back just as much, threading your hands through his hair as he pulls you close, his hands firm against your back. He kisses you breathless, and you realize, to have all of his focus, all of his attention, it’s beyond anything you’ve dreamed.
“Y/N,” he whispers, his voice hoarse, “What do you want? How far do you want this to go?’
You don’t even have to think now, because you know. You know exactly where this is going, and you realize, maybe you’ve known since you stepped off that elevator in New York. There’s no other place this could have gone but here.
“You,” you whisper, pressing a kiss to his chin, “I want you.”
“You sure?” he asks, and you nod.
It’s easy between you two, you realize, as he unbuttons your dress with shaking fingers, eases it up over your head. He whispers a heartfelt “Jesus Christ” and then runs his hands down your back to curve around your bum as you press against him. It’s exciting, to be so close to naked while he’s fully dressed, the scrape of his jeans against your thighs enticing as he kisses you again and again.
“Off,” you say, tugging at his shirt, “Take this off,” and he grins, yanking the shirt over his head.
You lean into him and begin pressing hot, open-mouthed kisses across his collar bone, making your way to the scars on his shoulder. He stiffens and then when you flick your tongue across the ridged flesh you find there, he groans.
“You’re so beautiful,” you say, looking up at him, hoping he hears the truth in your voice, “So fucking beautiful, Bucky.”
“James,” he whispers and there’s a look of such vulnerability on his face that you feel your heart breaks just a bit, in the best way. “Can you? Would you call me James?”
“Of course,” you whisper and he kisses you again.
He walks you towards the bed and when the backs of your legs hit the mattress, you tumble down, pulling him on top of you as he laughs, and suddenly you feel so full of feeling. It’s beautiful, the way the afternoon sunlight streams in over him, turning him golden, the way the infinite ocean rolls in the background, the screams of gulls and the sound of waves.
It’s beautiful the way he kisses his way down your body, stripping you bare as he goes, pressing his mouth to the core of you until you’re shaking and shuddering underneath his tongue. You collapse back against the pillows as he moves back up, and when he presses his mouth to yours, you taste yourself on his lips.
“What do you want?” he asks and hisses as you slide a hand down to cup him through his jeans.
“You’re wearing far too many clothes for this next part,” you inform him and he laughs and sits up, then stands and wiggles out of his jeans and boxer briefs.
You let your eyes roam freely, from his strong jaw, the glint of his metal arm in the sun, the curve of his hip and the way his cock juts out from his body, so hard for you. He moves away, rummages in his bag and pulls out a condom and you grin.
You grab the packet from him and he freezes as you carefully roll it on over his length, teasing a bit as you go and he presses your hand for a moment.
“I won’t,” he gasps and takes a deep breath, visibly working to control himself, “I won’t last long if you keep doing that, darling.”
“I don’t care,” you say, and pull him down to kiss him again. “I just want you. James.” You say it again and he shudders. “James, I want you.”
He lines himself up and looks at you, watching your face as he presses in and you inhale on a gasp. The feel of him is overwhelming, solid and real as he moves against you, over and in you. The room is filled with the sounds you’re both making, gasps and a moan, long and low. You trace your hands over his arms and then down to his back, where you can feel the muscles bunching under your fingers as he moves. He kisses you, deep and wet, mouths along your jawline as you arch under him, calling his name.
He slows for a moment and then grins, raises an eyebrow and then rolls, settling you on top of him. He curves one hand around your hip and whispers, “Go ahead, baby,” and you move, chasing your own pleasure now as he thrusts into you. His fingers ghost over you, dipping into that heat at your very core, and you groan, shocked at how ragged your voice sounds in the room, and then, it rises from the very center of you, wave after wave and you contract around him as he gives one last shout and yanks you close, pressing his face into your shoulder as he comes, your name on his lips like a psalm.
For a long moment, there’s no movement, no sound but the two of you gaspings, and then you shudder and collapse gracelessly onto him.
“Fuck,” Bucky whispers and you murmur wordlessly in agreement and then slide off of him to cuddle into his side, and his arms tighten around you.
After a moment, he gets up and heads into the bathroom and when he comes back, he slips in next to you and wraps his arms around you, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“That was,” he says quietly, and then sighs. “That was amazing.”
There’s a long moment of silence and then he asks, “Did you See this?’
“Parts,” you whisper, wondering if he’ll be angry. “I saw the sunlight on the ocean, the bed.”
“When?” he asks, and you roll over to prop yourself up and look at him. He smiles at you and you feel something in you relax.
“A while ago,” you say finally. “Before I met you. It’s one of the first things I saw, actually. Right after the incident.”
Bucky huffs out a surprised laugh. “The incident? That’s what we’re calling it?”
You shrug and reach other to trace one hand across his chest. “I mean, no lasting damage done, right?”
He covers your hand with his own, brings it up to his lips to kiss your palm. “I remember the first time I saw you, you were going toe to toe with Tony over… something, I don’t remember what, and it was like,” he pauses, shakes his head. “It was like I was poleaxed or something, watching you stand up to him, and then you looked over at me, and you just grinned, like you’d seen an old friend or something.”
“Or something,” you whisper.
“Anway,” he shakes his head again, “I just thought, anyone who can yell at Tony like that, that’s someone I need to get to know.”
“And now?” you have to ask. “What now?”
“Well,” he says slowly, “I’d like to take you to dinner, walk through the town, kiss you by the ocean if you’re amenable to that.” He looks at you. “You going to tell me what else you’ve seen?”
“Not much,” you say. “Mostly I just saw us like this.”
“Well, then,” he says, “Let’s see what happens next.”
                                                    *****
You wind up sitting outdoors at a small cafe downtown, laughing over salads and steaks, and sharing a bottle of wine as you talk and people-watch. It’s getting dark now, and as you finish up, you hear music start up in the park across the street.
“Want to check it out?” you ask, as Bucky slides his credit card back into his wallet.
“Sure,” he says, and slides his hand into yours. “Lead the way.”
The park is on a bluff overlooking the public beach, and the breeze off the water is cool as you make your way towards the bandstand. There are people on blankets, kids playing on the playground equipment and the rotary club is doing a brisk business selling popcorn and lemonade. As you get closer, you realize it’s a jazz band and you grin.
“Hey, they’re singing your song,” you say with a laugh and Bucky grins.
“There’s a lot I don’t remember,” he says, “But somehow, I still know the music.”
Suddenly he stops and holds out a hand. “My boon,” he says and you quirk an eyebrow at him, not understanding.
“Dance with me,” he says quietly and you nod, heart in your throat as he wraps you in his arms.
As you dance, your bodies moving together in rhythm and harmony, you see the way he looks at you, feel the way he pulls you close, his body brushing yours, and the whole world falls away, until it’s just the two of you, this moment, here under the stars and the rising moon, and you realize.
This is just the beginning.
Stars shining bright above you Night breezes seem to whisper I love you Birds singing in the sycamore tree Dream a little dream of me

60 Hurricane Safety Tips: Learn What To Do Before, During & After A Hurricane
Introduction
A hurricane also known as a typhoon (in Indian / Pacific Ocean) is a large storm.  It typically is identified by a low-pressure center around which there is high speed storm system, high winds together with thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rains.  Countries with major coast lines are especially at rise of such storms. They tend to occur every year.
At the focal point of hurricane, air sinks instead of rises. For a suitably strong storm, the air may sink over a layer deep enough to smother cloud formation, in this way making a clear region also called an "eye" of the storm.
Hurricanes take time to develop, usually a few days or more. They typically begin as thunderstorms then become stronger and stronger and grow in size into large scale weather disturbances.
Hurricanes are effectively followed and checked by climate satellites & weather aircraft due to their regularity and potential for destructive damage. In this way, weather agencies are constantly monitoring hurricane movements.  Hence if you are in an affected area, it’s wise to keep up to date with latest warnings.
Hurricanes are defined by 5 categories
Category
Wind Speed (mph)
Damage
1
74-95
Very dangerous winds will produce some damage
2
96-110
Extremely dangerous winds will cause extensive damage
3

4
130-156
Catastrophic damage will occur

 Or
Category 1: 74–95 mph . Very dangerous winds will produce some damage
Category 2: 96–110 mph . Very dangerous winds will produce some damage
Category 3: 111–129 mph . Devastating damage will occur
Category 4: 130–156 mph . Catastrophic damage will occur
Category 5: >157 mph . Catastrophic damage will occur

 Hurricane Season
Northern Hemisphere - May 1st to November 30th for the Atlantic and the Caribbean each year, and the Eastern Pacific hurricane season starts in mid-May.
Southern Hemisphere - Seasons are the opposite of those in the northern, of course, and their hurricane season peaks in March and April.
To help your preparation below are some tips. This is not meant to be exhaustive but more of a guide:-
 Before Hurricane Impact
 1.    Most importantly keep up to date with latest weather updates Useful to have a portable (battery/crank up) radio in case of power failure caused by the hurricane.
 2.    Check and ensure everyone is accounted for including pets. Also that they know what to do.
 3.    You could, if you have the funds/space consider purchasing a back up generator with full tank if fuel and a reserve fuel on hand.
 4.    Prepare for flooding with sandbags, and suitable stock of brooms, mops squeegees, and other absorbents to help remove water and other deposits.
 5.    If your have trees in your garden or grounds, consider trimming or remove large trees that could fall and damage your or your neighbouring properties.
 6.    Prior to a storm remove patio furniture, yard decorations and anything not securely fastened.
 7.    If your child’s school or child care center is in an area at risk from hurricanes, find out how its emergency plans address hurricanes.
 8.    Inside you home ensure you have enough supplies including spare batteries, first aid kit. Attach tape over windows to prevent any shattering.
You can find suitable types of first aid kits at https://www.uberclimb.com/gear/First-Aid
 9.    On the exterior of your home, remove/tie down any potential loose objects. Also, close all your home windows and doors.
10.Install permanent shutters to protect windows, doors and skylights from flying debris and wind. You could also, board up windows/doors if required.
11.Strengthen your garage door by replacing it with a pressure-rated model or install a bracing system to prevent the door from failing.
12.If you have to evacuate, ensure all members of your family are accounted for. Check you have full tank of fuel and familiarise with evacuation route & destination. Evacuate as soon as possible when you receive an evacuation notice or you feel in immediate danger.
13.When moving outside avoid potential dangerous places. Especially avoid places where the riverbed is high or close to other waterways. Also, avoid areas likely to have landslides or flooding.
14.Normally, it is advisable to stay indoors whenever possible. Try and avoid venturing outdoors if not necessary. There could be flying debris and other hazards caused by the hurricane.
15.Try and avoid beaches where water can quickly flood in. Also best to avoid harbours areas/, river mouths. These will be venerable at at high tide/high water conditions such as caused by hurricanes.
16.It also advisable to stay away from low lying coastal areas as tides will be much higher and waves much stronger at full tide. Levee breaks also cause serious disaster.
If you are on or near alluvial areas be extra wary. These have increased risks of flooding. Exercise extreme caution because deltas (made of sediment carried by the river and deposited at the mouth of it) and floodplains (region made of accumulated sand carried by regular flooding) can easily be swamped.
18.Also note that river basins and dry riverbeds can also present a serious/life threatening danger of flooding during storms, hence avoid venturing there or leave the area as soon as possible.
Avoid developed land as this is normally made by breaking up hillsides and hence may contain unstable soil and terrain and therefore weaker ground. These areas may slide when downpours or water flooding loosen the ground.
20.Torrential downpour caused by hurricane weather s may cause mountain landslides, and alluvial cones at the foot of a mountain may especially vulnerable.  Be especially wary of steep sloping lands of greater than 30° angles and heights of more than 5m may experience a landslide when there are heavy rains.
If you live in mobile home it is safer to go to a shelter.
 22.     Be sure to fully charge all mobile phones and other battery powered devices. Also, print out emergency contact information in case you lose power.
23.Stock up on groceries, water, medications, and any other necessities such as infant supplies to avoid the need for travel during the storm. You could storage water in a suitable container. One option can be found at
https://www.uberclimb.com/gear/hyrdration/naturehike-food-grade-water-container-large-capacity
24.Ideally purchase appliances that come with built in surge protection or consider a surge protected sockets power strips to plug your electrical devices.
25.Have some emergency cash in case you need to purchase items in areas where there is no power.
26.Check and repair (if necessary) roof drains, gutters and gaps in walls.
27.Remove TV and radio antennas as well satellite dishes from roof areas.
28.Ensure that any storm drains, culverts and catch basins are cleared of debris.
29.Prior to evacuation, bring identification, insurance papers, and other important documents for every family member in your family/group. Obey all special traffic signs and law enforcement orders. Bring adequate water, snacks, cash, and medications.
30.Consider creating a family communications plan that can help ensure that everyone knows how to connect and where to meet during an emergency.
31.Identify a family member or friend to serve as an out-of-state contact so all family members have a single point of contact. Write down or capture two contact methods for this individual such as telephone, cell phone, e-mail address, or social media. Determine safe places where your family can go for protection or to reconnect if separated.
32.Consider signup with American Red Cross Safe and Well social media app.  Learn about the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) National Emergency Family Registry and Locator System.
33.Remember, texting may work best before, during, and after a disaster as a text message may be more likely to reach the recipient as it requires far less bandwidth to send than making a phone call.
34.Make sure that everyone, including children, knows how and when to call 9-1-1 for emergency help. Remember, only call 9-1-1 if there is a life-threatening emergency.
35.Store at least one emergency contact under the names “In Case of Emergency” or “ICE” for all mobile phones and devices. This will help someone identify your emergency contact if needed.
36.Those with special medical needs such as oxygen, dialysis etc should go to special needs shelters only. These typically only provide medical monitoring and limited medical care. Bring a caregiver if possible.
It is good preparation to build a storm shelter or tornado safe room. The safest place may be a small, interior, windowless room such as a closet or bathroom on the lowest level of the structure.
38.If possible ensure you have appliance thermometers in your refrigerator and freezer.
Where possible, store food on shelves that will be safely out of the way of (contaminated) water in case of flooding.
Purchase flood insurance in advance of the storm.
41.Create a disaster preparedness kit filled with critical supplies, including important documents and medications.  You can find a list here.
42.It is advisable to keep your pets in a designated area in your home. Ensure to place enough water and food in that area. If your pet has special care needs, make sure to provide it. Animals, just like humans, can also feel scared.
  During The Hurricane
43.Keep up-to-date on weather status especially in your area.
44.Shut down all gas fired equipment and shut off main gas values.
45.Conserve your cell phone battery by reducing the brightness of your screen, placing your phone in “airplane” mode, and closing unnecessary apps that you do not need.
46.Shut down all non-critical and non-essential electrical equipment.
47.Stay in a secure room and away from windows.
48.If your power goes out, report your outage immediately to your local power company.
Be aware, it typically takes about two feet of rushing water to carry away most vehicles including sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and trucks.
 After Hurricane
Ensure that the storm has completely passed before venturing outside.
Also, stay away from downed power lines, flooded areas, and debris. Treat all fallen wires and anything touching them as though they are energized/live. Immediately report downed lines to your power company.
52.If your power is cut, listen to your local radio stations for information and instructions.
If you are encountering hot weather, close drapes and blinds on the sunny side of your house, drink plenty of fluids, take your pets to a cool basement location, and go to an air-conditioned civic center, mall, or library if necessary to stay cool.
54.Remain patient. Every electric company has a detailed plan for restoring electrical service after a power outage.
If possible, try and turn your refrigerator and freezer to the coldest setting. Also, to help ensure your food will keep longer, try and minimise opening the fridge door as much as possible if the power goes out.
56.Check if your local community has a hurricane response plan.
57.Do not move seriously injured individuals. There may be falling debris even more likely if you have high rise buildings.
58.Provide search and rescue personnel with last known location and descriptions of any missing victims.
59.Clear out roof drains, and remove debris from roofs.
60.Check refrigerated items from spoilage if there has been a power failure.
On entering your home do an inspection of every room. However, be careful in entering every room. Keep a lookout for reptiles or other wild animals that may have been driven by floodwaters to higher ground. If you happen to find one, don’t try and handle the animal - instead contact local wildlife authority or agency.

Grand Theft Auto
*I actually wrote this one a while ago but I wanted to post it here. It’s just a silly one shot I whipped up one night.
Chloe likes to think of herself as a very reasonable person. The thing is, more often than not some asshole comes and fucks up her reasonable streak (She keeps track. Of course she keeps track. She was on a solid three day streak before she snapped again.)
It goes like this:
David tosses Chloe the keys to his beloved muscle car. He says, 'She needs a good cleaning, the soap is in the garage. Don't scrub too hard on the body, and use a different soap for the rims. Don't want them dulling on me now.'
Chloe says as kindly as she can, (which isn't actually as kind as she thinks.) 'Can't. I have shit to do.'
David says, 'That wasn't a request, girly. It was a demand. You need to start taking more responsibility in this house.'
'Funny, considering the car is outside the house.’ Chloe says through gritted teeth.
'After you're finished, take her for a ride around the block so she can air dry.' David says, completely dismissing Chloe's last comment. 'That's an order, Chloe. I'm not repeating myself twice.' With that he walks away.
So of course Chloe washes the car. And if for some reason she somehow forgets to use a different soap for the rims and her hand keeps scrubbing harder against the doors than they should be, well, accidents happen.
After she's done cleaning the car she takes it for a ride. She was ordered to follow David's commands, after all. And that's exactly what she does. But Chloe worked so hard, and she did such a good deed. So she decides to reward herself. As she drives the car way passed the block she decides she'll actually keep the muscle car for the whole day as a gift. Her first stop, Blackwell.
Chloe slows the car down by the curb once she arrives at the front of the school. Her eyes scan the crowd of students until she spots a familiar blonde head sitting by the stairs, head down in what Chloe is guessing is a script for whatever play the drama club will perform next.
Smiling, Chloe lowers her window and cups her mouth as she shouts, "Hey, Hollywood!"
Rachel's head snaps up at the voice. Once her eyes land on Chloe she shakes her head and grins wildly as she stands up and makes her way over towards the car.
"Well well, what's a girl like you doing at a place like this?" Rachel says cheekily once she gets close enough.
"Bird watching, and laying low since I just committed a little grand theft auto. You know, the usual." Chloe replies.
"Wait," Rachel steps back, taking a good look at the car. "You did not...." Rachel says, cracking a grin at the end of the sentence.
"Oh, I totally did." Chloe says as she lifts her chin up in pride, patting the outside of the muscle car. "Sergeant Pepper practically begged me to. Now get in before he brings his army of dickwads after me."
Rachel laughs as she opens the passenger door and plops down in the seat.
"So, where to?" Chloe asks. "We can go to the movie theater or-"
"Palawan."
"Pala- what?"
"Palawan,"
"What the hell is that?"
"An island in the Philippines. Now, ah ah ah, I know what you're thinking," Rachel suddenly picks up a salesman voice, "But this particular island is not just any regular island, no ma'am. This island just so happens to be the most beautiful island in all of existence. Vast oceans, luxury five star hotels with a view, and the softest sand that would make the beaches in California weep like a little bitch." Rachel finishes her attempted sales pitch. "Plus I want to go snorkeling with some dolphins. Do some ocean exploring, maybe find a treasure chest or two."
Chloe snorts, "You pretty much described any other typical island. And how the hell do they decide on which island is the most beautiful? They draw the shortest stick or something?"
"Don't be silly, they obviously hold a geographic beauty pageant."
"Obviously. Well, unfortunately I left the life preservers at the house so we're just gonna have to put a hold on the island travels for now."
"Damn."
"I hear the Prescott's recently installed a big ass fountain in front of their big ass mansion, we can do some light snorkeling there." Chloe genuinely jokingly suggests.
"Hmm," Rachel puts a finger to her chin, seemingly in deep consideration. "That is a very tempting offer, I must say. Still, not as glamorous as snorkeling in a foreign island..."
"As far as snorkeling and treasure goes, that's all I got."
"Well, I suppose the movie theater will just have to suffice for now."
"Movie theater it is. " Chloe says as she starts the car.
"You know," Rachel starts as she leans back, "We're definitely going snorkeling at the Prescott's big ass fountain soon."
"Oh yeah, no doubt about it.”
