I'm so excited to finally be posting this! This fic was written for the Gavin Simps Big Bang. It will be 5 chapters and approximately 25,000 words. New chapter posted every 2 weeks!

Summary: Gavin is an automaton created by the brilliant inventor Nines Stern. In a terrible accident, Nines' latest invention explodes, leaving Gavin grieving the death of his maker and with nothing to do except try to survive - until, that is, he discovers that Nines might not be as dead as he thought.

I'll also be posting another fic for this event in a few days, so keep an eye out!

Chapter Summary: Gavin has been stewing for 3 decades since he learned that his creator wasn't dead, as he'd thought, but had abandoned him. When he finds the man again, he has some choice words for him - but before he gets to say them, the excited human pulls him into a hug. What on Earth is going on, and why does Nines not remember what he did to Gavin the last time they met?
