• At the end they stand around him, hidden in shadows as Alfred cowers in the corner, shaking and scared before he slowly looks up, Red eyes glowing and grins

Hetalia Week, Day 4: Crossover

Note: I’m trying a new style for this one, to make it more condensed and shorter. I’m not very experienced with it, so do forgive me for any awkwardness. I might convert it into a regular format if anyone asks me to.

when Japan first approaches them / visibly nervous and his hesitance palpable / America is the one who asks him, "are you okay?" / he doesn't answer at first, and America's eyes narrow at that / but Japan clears his throat / says, "I'm fine." / he's lying, England and America can tell / and America purses his lips / pauses for a moment / smiles blandly / and he says, "let me rephrase that, then; what's wrong?" / his stern voice makes it clear that another lie won't be tolerated / yet it also belies worry for his friend / his ally / his companion / and Japan must notice this, because despite how unsettled he looks / how uncertain his normally composed countenance is / he tells them without hesitance / "something only you can help me with." / and England does not know if he is imagining things / but when Japan says that, it's as if the words are directed to him / not America / but England shakes the thought away / "we should find somewhere else to talk," he says / he looks around at the people surrounding them / there are ears everywhere / he'd rather not risk being overheard, especially if this is a serious as it sounds / discretion is important / he knows that well / Japan agrees / America doesn't say no either / and they head to a private room / the three of them must make an odd group, as the other nations stare at them as they pass by / but none of them pay heed to the others / perhaps a bit suspicious, but how are they to tell that it's more than a simple personal matter? / their steps echo through the hallway as they walk by / and the relative silence makes America uncomfortable / it's apparent in his ever-shifting shoulders / the way he fiddles with his cuff links / but it seems to have the opposite effect on Japan / he relaxes with every step he takes / the tension slowly seeping out of him for every inhale and exhale / and when they reach their destination / it seems as though nothing is amiss / as though he'd never been anything less than composed in the first place / on the other hand / England is nervous / but careful to not give away any of his tells / for inside of him / the trepidation grows stronger and stronger / he knows not why / why his magic is stirring / why he can feel the onset of yet another episode / of feeling overwhelmed / as if he is being swallowed up by every emotion that's ever existed / and has been felt by mankind / England's hands tremble / he shivers / and when the three of them enter the room / he feels nauseous / but he says nothing / hoping against hope that it will pass / miraculously enough / it does / and when Japan faces them to explain what's happening / England finds it no trouble to pretend as if nothing had happened

Some information:

This is a Hetalia and Katekyo Hitman Reborn crossover. In this story, England is a Sky flame user. The characteristic of a Sky is harmony; it allows the him to be attuned to his elements/his people, and gives him a special level of awareness of - and connection to - his surroundings. Combined with his nature as a nation - especially his connection with the people that are his - it results in an sensory overload whenever England’s nature as a Sky flares up. Given his lack of training in controlling his flames, meaning he is unable to suppress the unwanted information he receives, it makes England almost like an amateur Empath who can't control what he senses, thus the sensory overload.

The second part covers the flames and sensory overload part more. It'll be up soon.
