Wow wow I ran my one-shot and it was so good!! The first fight was supposed to be easy (it was tiny pixies!!) but then I did 29 points of damage to one of my players in a single round and I was. Concerned. (I also had to stop another player for doing a thunder strike on the nearly-down player which was... rough). It was smooth from there!! We had puzzles, they LOVED the one riddle, we got to the final battle.....
And then I knocked out our freaking cleric and we all realized in a panic NO ONE ELSE had healing spells or potions 😭😭 in a panic I let a player stabilize them with a medicine check and it all went ok!
Everyone had fun and they even asked when we could do another game which I did not expect!! Lol guess I gotta write more now!

Sustainable concrete is the question?, Mapei Concrete Admixtures are the answer.
The use of sustainable, durable materials is becoming an increasingly real need since the consumption of the natural resources available must be reduced.
A sustainable approach is to improve the durability of concrete to reduce maintenance cost, save energy and materials. If we could extend the service life from 50 years to 150 years or more, we could postpone for 100 years the costs connected to the consumption of natural resources.
Concrete can be made more durable by reducing the permeability of hardened concrete. As per ACI 212.3R.10, Permeability Reducing Admixtures or PRA’s are classified in three classes. These admixture classes are:
Hydrophobic or water-repellent;
Mineral fillers;
Crystalline materials.
Further to the above admixture classes, the ACI 212.3R.10 describes these admixtures as:
The water-repellent admixtures, based mostly on fatty acids, oils or wax emulsions are effective in “reducing the absorption and ingress of chlorides into concrete, but usually only under non-hydrostatic conditions (PRAN).
The mineral fillers such as talk, bentonite, lime or alkaline silicates may “shrink the pores of the concrete and restrict the water passage”. These mineral fillers are also classified as PRAN’s and do not fully block all pores;
Crystalline-based admixtures (PRAH) are hydrophilic, reacting with the cement matrix, forming crystals. These crystals block the concrete pores, improving the “concrete’s ability to resist water penetration under pressure”. The crystalline-based admixtures are mostly considered suitable in concrete structures with severe waterproofing applications.
MAPEI’s Solution
Idrocrete KR 1000 a powder admixture made from special hydrophilic components which, when added to a concrete mix, reduces the permeability of hardened concrete.
This crystalline based admixture is categorized as PRAH and hence resists water penetration under pressure.
Laboratory tests have shown that adding Idrocrete KR 1000 to concrete reduces its level of capillary absorption and makes it more resistant to the hydrostatic pressure.
MECHANISM: On adding water to concrete mix with Idrocrete KR 1000, Idrocrete KR 1000 reacts with the calcium hydroxide and other products that are formed during the hydration process of the cement, to generate compounds of calcium silicate and other non-soluble salts. These crystalline compounds and calcium silicate hydrate are deposited in the voids of the cement matrix and reduce its total porosity, thereby increasing the resistance of the concrete to the penetration of water under pressure.

APPLICATIONS:
Idrocrete KR1000 can be successfully used to produce concrete for the following applications:
• dams;
• bridges;
• car parks;
• storage tanks;
• pipes and piles;
• retaining walls;
• tunnels;
• marine structures;
• basements and foundations;
• swimming pools;
• precast elements; etc.
For best results, Idrocrete KR1000 must only be used in concrete that has been correctly designed with two basic rules to produce impermeable concrete, water/cement ratio of less than 0.5 and adequate wet curing time.
The crack bridging ability of Idrocrete KR 1000 allows closing microcracks up to 0.4 mm.
APPLICATION METHOD: Idrocrete KR 1000 is added to the concrete mix just like any other type of powder admixture. The product must be added in the concrete mixer or the truck mixer together with all the other components (cement, admixtures and aggregates). Once Idrocrete KR 1000 has been added, we recommend extending the adequate mixing time so that the admixture is evenly blended throughout the mix.
COMPATIBILITY: Idrocrete KR 1000 is compatible with all WR and HRWR admixtures; for quality concrete, we recommend the use of Mapei concrete admixtures-Mapeplast, Mapefluid and Dynamon ranges.
DOSAGE: The recommended dosage rate for Idrocrete KR 1000 is 1 to 3 % by weight of cementitious materials. For best results, we recommend laboratory trials with site raw materials at a different dosage.

Plasticizers & super-plasticizers facilitate concrete to enhance it's workability.
Due to it’s strong fluidity, shotcrete is highly beneficial. When the homogeneous mix is applied pneumatically, it simply conforms with even rugged surfaces whereas maintaining the initial resistance to compression to offer good structural support from the beginning.
A family of chemical polymers like plasticizers and super-plasticizers are liable for the material’s fluidity. These are also called water reducers to minimize the total water-to-cement ratio, providing it a more ‘liquid’ consistency devoid of diluting the mix with water.
These additives are normally added all through the mixing process and allow the concrete mix to become yielding until application keeping its consistency unchanged.
Plasticizers and super-plasticizers provide a temporary dispersing effect, that produces a comprehensive hydration of each cement particle, making the fluidity of the mix better.
This mix is amalgamated with volcanic fly ash to form the type of hydraulic concrete, a fully hardy and weatherproof material along with extremely erosive salt water.
Plasticizers: first steps - First generation of plasticizers is known as Lignosulphonates. It belongs to a byproduct originated from wood processing that is frequently applied in recent times to form a workable mix with only basic raw materials.
These additives, known as Mid-Range Water Reducers [MRWR] affix themselves to the surface of a cement particle, that bears both positive and negative charges. It causes a physical effect that allows the negatively charged cement particles to keep away each other, providing a dispersing effect to develop better water infiltration. But these additives can defer the curing process, which may sequentially produce further complicacies. If curing is not done within a certain timeframe, a greater amount of hydrostatic pressure could amass in a formwork column over a long lasting period, causing the formwork to burst.
The second generation: Plasticizers 2.0: This type of plasticizer can significantly lessen the water-to-cement ratio of around 25%. Polysulfonates like naphthalene and melamine offer same type of working mechanism to the first generation of plasticizers, producing an electrical dispersing albeit of superior intensity.
These polymers conform to the cement particles, charging them negatively to form repulsion among related particles, allowing water to flow and hydrate the mix in an efficient manner.
This similar repulsion activity also activates major air occlusion, raising the workability of the mix but at the same time developing pockets of air that reduces its resistance and settle its structural integrity.
This type of polymer may also put other challenges, since it provides a very narrow window of ‘workability��: as soon as the cement is hydrated, it is likely to develop a crust-like byproduct that makes application complicated.
Super-plasticizers: the third generation - Super-plasticizers stands for the additives which bring huge benefits along with a water-to-cement ratio curtailment of around 40%.
Polycarboxylates alias High Range Water Reducers (HRWR) function on the base of sterical in spite of electrostatic repulsion. A major steric effect is steric hindrance for which a chemical reaction can’t occur. In this case it stops cement particles from agglomerating.
Polycarboxylates stands for complex co-polymers which are applied to satisfy several functions, and comprise of a negatively charged ‘backbone’ molecule with polymeric side chains.
Most of these additives can be amalgamated jointly, and blended with other types like air-entraining, accelerating and retarding additives
