8 years ago I wasn't planning on getting a new dog... but then she happened.

Baby Treble. The girl that started my journey into competitive dog sports and dog grooming. She's such a silly girl and makes me smile every day. She is the mother of Fred and my regal queen of the house.

8 years down and I hope there are many more to go.

Two whole years since I took these photos. Two whole years since I made that drive in pouring rain with a borrowed travel crate in the back seat and a little puppy in that crate. My little puppy. She cried at first that night, away from her siblings, and so of course I went to sleep on the floor next to her. I was so nervous I kept waking up throughout the night to check that she was still breathing. I just couldn’t believe she was actually here. Everything still felt so perilous, like it could slip away somehow.

Now it’s been two years and I don’t even remember that other life. My old life, the life without her. She’s my everything.

Happy second gotcha day, my wonderful darling puppy. My heart and soul.
