Heads Up, 7 Up Tag Game

Thank you for the tag @emelkae! I've been working on mu Changeling rewrite since the beginning of the month, so it'll be a piece about my darlings, Lizzy and Booker...

Rules: Post the last 7 sentences you've written. Then tag 7 people.

The last seven sentences I wrote, means we start in the middle of a piece of dialogue, so for context, the opening lines are Booker attempting to explain why he and Lizzy can't give Walcott any more information than they already have...

"[...]. Which is why it's classified. As Lizzy mentioned, we didn't intend to come here. Master Roche was rather insistent, however."

"I understand," Walcott offered gently, "then perhaps our best course of action should be to contact your ambassador at the European Vampire Council. They would be sure to know—"

"No," Booker said sharply, but Lizzy could feel him fumble for an excuse. It didn't matter what he came up with though, she realised as she watched the Headmaster's expression, their flimsy cover of being on official business had already melted away and she sighed, patting Booker's hand that still rested on her shoulder.

"Sit down, Booker," she muttered when he glanced at her, and as Booker quietly did as she said the Headmaster turned his attention back on her.
