Heatwave lives off of increadably strong Energon Coffee. Instead of sleeping, he drinks an unhealthy amount of coffee to keep himself sane due to his 'team of younglings' as he likes to say. But he will never admit it until many years after he came to Earth.

The only reason he doesn't sleep is because if he does, the firehouse may burn down because of his team's late-night chaos
