I've stared at that card for the past 7 months wishing the new year would get here already & it finally has. I have kind of a big resolution that will probably take all year but I want to get off all the medications I'm on, get myself healthy & back to living and enjoying life! #wishmeluck #newyears #resolution #goodbye2014 #hello2015 #project365 #day1

I started project 365 because I needed something to keep me going. I was bed ridden at the time due to medication induced vertigo. It was awful and I wanted to die. It lasted months and my doctor was no help. I was hopeless. I starred at this card that a friend of my mom had made her for months just wishing for a change. That change was me.

Acabo de escuchar esta versión de Hello y necesitaba soltar mis sentimientos en alguna parte.  Desde siempre me ha gustado NU’EST, desde que eran los “After School Boys”, desde que Jonghyun y Minhyun aparecieron en los videos de Orange Caramel. Siempre los he visto preciosos y maravillosos. Cuando por fin debutaron me morí, porque Face era la cosa más hermosa que había escuchado en mi vida; me encantó al tiro el concepto del grupo, el ritmo, el mensaje que querían dar. Era algo que me parecía nuevo, al menos a mí, que a penas iba entrando en el mundito este del k-pop. Recuerdo que cuando salió Action, el video, estuve esperando, viendo la cuenta regresiva que le tenían para poder verlo apenas fuera posible. Estos cabros me enamoraron mucho, todos y cada uno de ellos. Los seguí amando y apoyando siempre, comprando sus discos y todo, a pesar de que el fandom era pequeño, por lo menos acá. Tuve la suerte de verlos en 2014 cuando se presentaron en la cúpula, de saludarlos, de darles regalitos y tomarme una foto con ellos. Fui la persona más feliz del planeta, porque ya llevaba más de dos años siguiéndolos, esperando a verlos (y más de dos años también enamorada de Minhyun, cofcof). El punto es que, siendo fan de After School y Orange Caramel, era lógico que con NU’EST iba a pasar exactamente lo mismo; luego de Re:BIRTH se fueron abajo. Sigo resentida con la Pledis porque siempre luego de cosas muy buenas, deja de lado a sus grupos y sigue con proyectos nuevos; no por nada Orange Caramel no ha sacado algo desde el 2014, siendo que My Copycat (sin hablar de ventas o visitas, porque no me he informado de eso), por lo visto, fue uno de los mayores éxitos del grupo, y lo digo, porque lo vi. A la gente le gustaba, y con esa canción se hicieron mucho más conocidas (desde mi punto de vista, y experiencia). A pesar de que NU’EST  siguió trabajando duro, sacando más material, parecía que todo el mundo se estaba olvidando de ellos, hasta que la Pledis los llevó a Produce 101. Sí, me dolió verlos retroceder de esa manera, estar a la altura de principiantes otra vez; sí, me indigné y odié a la empresa, pero era lógico que había un motivo detrás de todo eso. Y claro, a medida que iba avanzando el programa, NU’EST iba subiendo en las listas, iba ganando popularidad de nuevo, porque mucha gente apenas supo de su existencia gracias a ese programa; he ahí el por qué su empresa quiso meterlos a P101. Los vi sacarse la cresta, frustrados, cansados, y me imagino que debieron sentirse horrible al llegar a ese punto, pero los cabros siguieron esforzándose porque así han sido siempre. Yo sabía que alguno de ellos iba a quedar en el grupo, porque sé también, y trato de mirarlo de la manera más objetiva posible, que ellos tienen talento; los he visto crecer en  ese aspecto por años. No me sorprendió para nada que Minhyun quedara como parte de Wanna One, y en parte me pone feliz, porque es una forma de destacar que tiene talento, y que por algo está ahí. Por otra parte, me duele también el hecho de que NU’EST siga promocionando “como un grupo de cuatro integrantes”, me duele porque les tengo cariño a cada uno de ellos y ellos llevan muchos años juntos. Sé que el que Minhyun esté en Wanna One, no quiere decir que deje NU’EST, pero no me gusta ver al grupo “separado”; igual era lógico que la Pledis no iba a dejar pasar la oportunidad que estaba buscando. Querían que NU’EST ganara un poco de popularidad (la mayor posible), y lo consiguieron; no iban a dejar al grupo “en pausa” hasta que Minhyun terminara de promocionar con Wanna One, o lógicamente todo el mundo se iba a olvidar de ellos otra vez. En parte también estoy feliz, porque al fin se están fijando en ellos, y ojalá los conociera un montón de gente más, porque, a mi parecer, son un grupo con bastante calidad, son buenos, tienen buena música, y sería maravilloso que más gente los apoyara. Ahora, mi corazón se rompió al escuchar esta versión de Hello, porque siento que en verdad no era necesario sacarla. No digo que no me haya gustado, porque está preciosa; la línea vocal se luce, y la rapera igual, aún cuando el ritmo de la canción sea mucho más lento que el de la original, supieron adaptarla bien. Pero es material de 2013, material que está hecho originalmente por los cinco, no por cuatro. No me acostumbro a escuchar la voz de Minki en lugar de la de Minhyun, y no por el sólo hecho de que lo reemplace (porque es obvio que cuando NU’EST se presente en alguna parte van a querer cubrir su lugar con alguien más del grupo; digo querer porque tomo el ejemplo de BTS, que cuando uno de los siete miembros no puede presentarse, se escucha su voz grabada de todas formas, y no hay nadie que reemplace a los demás), sino porque a mi parecer, la voz de Dongho iba mucho mejor; Minki tiene una voz mucho más nasal, y sin embargo, la de Dongho a pesar de ser un poco más grave, es más similar. NO ESTOY DICIENDO QUE MINKI CANTE MAL O QUE NO ME GUSTE, de hecho me agrada mucho su voz y me encanta, es muy particular dentro de la línea vocal del grupo, pero es sólo que me hubiese parecido mejor dar la mayor parte de las líneas de Minhyun a Dongho. 

Igual esta versión de la canción está preciosa, pero me hubiera gustado más el que hubieran presentado algo nuevo, no sé.
