M O R D L U S T ; progress update

it's been like a year, so i should probably do another one of these 🫠 progress is slow but....certainly happening. i've been excited to write for this project for the first time in months and some of her rough edges are starting to smooth out which is very 😈 to me. ik i kinda abandoned my #priswritesmordlust tag but dw, she'll probably be back in a few weeks.

don't fucking hate me but i restarted the draft...it's not what it sounds like pls believe me. i got up to a little over 54k but since i write out of order so many things were inconsistent or driving me nuts because i knew how to make them better, but wasn't letting myself backtrack so i finally gave in.

don't worry tho !! i'm 24k into my current draft and it's already far better than the original in a lot of ways

i also added in 3 more chaps to flesh out certain subplots, side characters, etc

Botan's Assault Interview! The Secrets of the "Yu Yu" Four Warriors

This interview was also published in the "Yu Yu Hakusho Official Character Book Reikai Shinshiroku" as a Q&A. I translated that version here, however, the databook didn't publish Botan's answers and remarks neither some lines from the guys. Probably, because of space and restrictions on the number of pages, which is a shame, since a lot of context about the questions was left out.

Anyway, here follows the original and full interview from the JUMP magazine. Those questions were made during "The Black Chapter Arc", right after Yusuke awakens as a youkai and arrives in the Demon World to fight Sensui:

I, Botan, will make an assault on the four warriors. Let's start with Yusuke...!

1. Yusuke's Chapter

Resurrected from the dead! The spirit world detective descendant of the mazoku!!

▲ Yusuke turned into a demon (mazoku). Regardless the outcome of the battle against Sensui, won’t he be able to return to the Human World? Keep a watchful eye on Yusuke's future actions!!

Botan: Oh, there he is, Yusuke. Heeeey, let me ask you a few questions.

Yusuke: In a fucking busy time like this? Damn you, Botan, what is it?

Botan: Err well, you’re fighting Sensui right now, but who's stronger, Sensui or Younger Toguro?

Yusuke: Yeah true. Well, if it's a simple comparison, Sensui. However, in terms of strength, Sensui may be superior, but I think the fight with Younger Toguro was more difficult in many ways.

▼ Younger Toguro, a former human who was reborn as a youkai, and Sensui, who is a human but exceeds youkai. It's a stark contrast.

Botan: Oh, by the way, I heard that you're a descendant of the demon tribe (mazoku)! I think everyone is surprised...

Yusuke: I don't feel it at all. But, I feel a different "power" than before.

Botan: And even Puu-chan ended up becoming like that...he was cuter in his old form, though, wasn’t he?

Yusuke: Huh? Puu is Puu! He's the same. Even with the blood of the mazoku, he’s the same as I'm Yusuke Urameshi! I don't know what you are talking about.

Botan: Also, how are things with Keiko-chan? You've been neglecting her, but is that okay? You'll be in a big trouble later...

Yusuke: You’re annoying! Idiot! I don't have time for this. I’m out of here.

Botan: Hmm, he’s still the same as usual...Let's try the next one, Kuwabara-kun, shall we?

2. Kuwabara's Chapter

From youkai to dimensions! Cutting in two with a single stroke!! The knight in shining armor!!! 

▲ Even though it was sudden, Kuwabara must have been quite upset about Yusuke’s true nature. There’s a possibility that the dimensional sword (jigentou) will continue to play a key role in the future development!!

Botan: I’ve heard Kuwabara-kun, a tough man who is playing a very active (!?) role in "The Black Chapter" Arc.

Hey, Kuwabara-kun. I was so surprised by the dimension sword.

Kuwabara:  Wa-hahaha! Well, I see, I see! But I was in trouble when I couldn't use my spirit power after the Dark Tournament.

Botan: Which one is easier to use, the spirit sword (reiken) or the dimension sword (jigentou)?

Kuwabara: It’s the spirit sword. Maybe, because I'm not familiar with the dimension sword, I can't get it out as I want. It'd be cool if I could reveal it at will, though. Aah, I want to show Yukina-san this heroic figure ツ ツ!!!

Botan: What are you talking about?

You've been arrested by Sensui for a long time...What kind of things did you do at that time?

Kuwabara: ...We watched a video together...

Botan: Hohoho...next question then. Shizuru-san, your older sister, seems to be quite psychic, but I think, how about making Shizuru-san a warrior too!?

Kuwabara: Geez, she's not interested at all. She’s scary enough as it is...I'm the one who's going to get beaten.

Botan: Ahaha! That's true.

Kuwabara: It's annoying when you say that.

Botan: By the way, what's up with the "I'll beat Yusuke in a match" thing?

Kuwabara: I'm doing it once in a while!...out of sight...I don't think you know.

T/N: There's a play with words in his answer. "Tamani" means "once in a while", but Togashi wrote the syllable "tama" in katakana, creating the expression "tama + ni". Tama is a word that can be colloquially used for balls (testicles). So, Kuwabara's answer could also be read as: "I'm kicking his balls" or "I've been going for his balls". This pun was removed from the Official Character Book version.

Botan: Why out of sight?

Kuwabara: Uh...I have to go! See ya ♡

Botan: Hahaa, you still can't win, can you?

3. Hiei's Chapter

Hellfire of the Demon World! A warrior with an evil eye clad in a black dragon!!

▲ Hiei showed overwhelming power not only to Sensui but also to Yusuke. Is it his personality that he can't stand quiet and overlook things...!?

Botan: I can't find the next one, Hiei. Let's try using that.

Here, here, this is the “Itako” Whistle from the Seven Spirit World Tools! One, two, GO!!

Hiei: !...You again, wretch. Don't call me out so carelessly. That whistle is noisy.

Botan: Come to think of it, I used it before when Yusuke was kidnapped by Kido and his friends. By the way, when you're in the Human World, where do you live?

Hiei: ...on the tree...

Botan: On the tree!? You've been sleeping in a place like that!? Aahhh, you're having many difficulties, aren't you? You seem to be playing the underdog role¹ a lot recently, just like in Kaito’s "Taboo Word"...

Hiei: There's no such thing as underdog. You bastards got the wrong idea.

¹ T/N: the word used in Japanese is 'yarare' role and means a character that is destined to lose the fights. It’s usually an expendable role that serves to highlight the protagonist’s power. Hiei didn’t do much in the Black Chapter Arc, losing his soul to Kaito, disappearing almost the entire saga, sleeping during Amanuma’s match and finally being beaten by Sensui. Dragon Ball characters like Krillin, Yamcha and Tien Shinhan were usually called 'yarare’.

▼ Kaito's taboo, you should not say the word "hot". Hiei ignores it with all his might and his soul is taken. Although he denies it, it is a rare (!?) blunder.

Botan: Yes, yes!...how stubborn...Well then, it seems that you keep your distance and have a neutral relationship with Yusuke and the others, but how’s it going to be from now on?

Hiei: There is no such relationship in the first place. But, well, we might not meet again in two or three years.

▲ Certainly, Hiei was saying this. The reason why Hiei is fighting with Yusuke and the others now is probably because he was attracted by the human named Yusuke.

Botan: Hmm, I see. Also, you know, what would you do if Yukina-chan and Kuwabara-kun ended up falling for each other?

Hiei: ...impossible.. um, impossible...

Botan: Oh, you, somehow, aren't you sweating cold!?

Hiei: Tha...that's not true.

Botan: Really?...okay, you won. That was the stubborn Hiei-san!

▼ At the Dark Tournament, the two of them were like this. After all, is it Kuwabara's one-sided love...I wonder!?

4. Kurama's Chapter

A handsome boy who freely manipulates plants! His true identity is...the great thief, Youko Kurama!!

▲ After entering the Demon World, Kurama has completely turned into Youko Kurama. As his mother's happiness is close, he may be confused about his role as a human being in the future!?

Botan: The last is Kurama who is sorry for making you wait...but, there's something strange about him...Aha, as expected, it’s Youko Kurama...he might be a little scary...

T/N: Botan “sorry for making you wait”  is a reference to Kurama's politeness who always uses honorifics and polite speech.

▲ T/N: Kurama’s line from volume 9, chapter 81: “Now, it's time for a spanking. The sin for making me angry is severe!!”. (he’s indeed a bit scary)

Youko: You're the one who called me? What are you going to ask...?

Botan: No, not you, but Kurama...(oh, it's confusing)...there’s an image of you becoming coolheadedness due to the battle with the Game Master Amanuma, what do you have to say about it?

Youko:  Ah...maybe, it was the influence of the Demon World’s hole, which seemed to be exceedingly approaching me. It is also a side effect of the Fruit of the Previous Life. Seemingly, when unrestricted hostility reaches the limit, there is a 50% chance that I will revert back to the original Youko Kurama. But every time this happens, the life force of "Shuuichi Minamino" is fairly reduced.

▼ In order to hurry to Sensui, Kurama hesitantly defeats Amanuma coldly...!

Botan: That's not good for Minamino-kun's Kurama. You’ve been Youko Kurama since the hole to the Demon World was opened. Which form do you prefer?

Youko: I prefer Youko Kurama now. However, when I'm Shuuichi Minamino, I'd probably think that Shuuichi Minamino is better...

Botan: Minamino-kun's Kurama is, after all, a youkai who manipulates plants of the Demon World, is that why he is in the Biology Club at Meioh High School?

Youko: No, that's just because it seems to be the least busy club.

Botan: It didn't have a deep meaning. Then, will that child continue to live as Shuuichi Minamino in the Human World...?

Youko: Um, that's probably the case unless something goes wrong.

Note: In the Official Character Book, the question whether Kurama would tell Kuwabara that Yukina is Hiei’s sister was published with Botan's Q&A. But, in the magazine, this question was actually asked to Togashi-sensei by Yusuke. You can check Togashi’s answers to several questions in the “Togashi-sensei Direct Answer! The secrets of  "Yu☆Yu☆!!”

あたし、ぼたんが、四戦士に突撃1するよ。まずは幽助から…!

ぼ: あ、いたよ幽助が。お ~い、ちょいと質問させておくれ。

幽: このクソ忙しい時に何なんだよ、ぼたんテメーは っ! ？

ぼ: いやさ、今戦ってる仙水だけどさ、仙水と戸愚呂 (弟)ってのは 、ー体どつちが強かつたかね ？ ？

幽: そうだなー。ま、単純にくらべれば仙水だな。ただ、強さでは仙水の方が上かもしんねーけど、 戸愚呂(弟)との戦いの方がいろんな意味でも苦しかったかな。

ぼ: あっ、そういえばさ、あんた魔族の子孫だったんだって! ？みんな驚いてると思うんだけどさ…。

幽: 全然、実感はねーな。ただ、今までとは違う "力" は感じるな。

ぼ: それにプーちゃんまで、あんな姿になっちまってさぁ…前の姿の方がカワイクて良かったけどねぇ。

幽: えー っ 、プーはプーだぜ! 変わんね工よ。魔族の血が混 じ ってだって、オレが浦飯幽助に変わりないのと同じ! 何言ってんだか。

ぼ: あとさ、螢子ちゃんとはどうなのさ ？ ほったらかしだけど、いいのかい。後で大変な事に…。

幽: うつさいわ! アホ!! それどころじゃねー。オレぁ行くぜっ。

ぼ: ふーつ、相変わらずだねえ…。つぎの桑原くんにいつてみよつか。

桑原の章

妖怪から次元まで! 一刀両断!! 男伊達!!!

突然だったにしろ、幽助の正体には、桑原も相当動揺しているはず。今後も、 次元刀が展開の鍵を振ってくる可能性が! !

"魔界の扉編”で大活躍(!?)の硬派・桑原くんに聞きましたっ。

ぼ: やー、桑原くん。次元刀には、ビックリしちゃったよ。

桑:  わははー! いやー、 そうか、そうか! でも、暗黒武術会の後、霊力が使えなくなった時にやア困っちまったけどな。

ぼ: 今までの霊剣と次元刀とは、 どつちの方が使いやすいんだい?

桑: そいつは霊剣の方だな。次元刀は使いなれないせいか、思うように出せねーんだよ。自由自在に出せりやあカッコいいんだけどよ。 あーっ 、 この雄姿を雪菜さんにお見せしたいーツツ! ! !

ぼ: なに言つてんだよ。ずっと仙水に捕まってたクセに... あの時いつたいどんな事されてだんだい?

桑: ..いつしょにビデオ見てた…。

ぼ: とほほ…。じゃ次の質問ね。お姉さんの静流さんは、かなり霊感があるみたいだけどさ、あたしゃ思うんだけど、静流さんも戦士にしちゃうってのはどうだいつ! ?

桑: ぐげぇー、本人にその気がまったくねーよ。ただでさえコワイのに…オレの方がやられちまうわ。

ぼ: あはは!  それもそうだねエ。

桑: そう言われるとハラ立つな…。

ぼ: ところで、 〝 幽助と勝負して負かす 〟ってのはどうなってんの?

桑: タマにやってんぞ!…見えないところで…。知らんと思うけど。

ぼ: なんで見えないところなのさ。

桑: う…オレ行くわ! んじゃ ♡

ぼ: ははあ、まだ勝てないんだね 。

飛影の章

魔界の獄炎!  黒龍をまとい邪眼の戦士! !

仙水のみならず、 幽助にも圧倒的な力を見せつけられた飛影。このまま、黙っていられないのが、彼の性格だとしたら…!?

お次の飛影が見あた らないんだよ。アレを使ってみようかね。

ぼ: これこれ、霊界七つ道具のイタコ笛さね ! せーの! !

飛: ! ...まだ貴様が。そう軽がるしくオレを呼ぶな。その笛はうるさくてかなわん。

ぼ: そういや前に、幽助が城戸たちにさらわれた時にも使ったねぇ。ところでさ、あんた人間界にいる時やどこで暮らしているんだい?

飛: ...木の上だ…。

ぼ: 木の上! ?そんなところで寝泊まりしてたってのかい! ? はぁ〜、あんたもいろいろ大変なんだねぇ…〝禁句〟の海藤の時といい、最近やたらとやられ役っぽいし...。

飛: やられてなどいない。貴様らのカンちがいだ。

ぼ: はいはい!...意地つばりだね...。じゃあさ、今んとこ幽助たちとは、つかず離れずの関係みたいだけど、今後はどうするんだい?

飛: そんな関係自体、元々ない。だが、まぁ2 ・ 3年したら、また会ってやらんでもないな。

ぼ: ふーん、そうかい。あとさ、もしもだよ、雪菜ちゃんと桑原くんが、両思いになっちまったらどうするんだい?

飛: …あり得ん…うむ、あり得ん… 。

ぼ: あっ、 あんた、なんだか、冷汗かいてないかい!?

飛: そ…そんなことはない。

ぼ: そうかねぇ…ま、いいかつ。意地っばりの飛影さんでしたつ!

蔵馬の章

植物を自在に操る美少年!その正体は…大盗賊・妖狐! !

魔界に入って完全に妖狐と化した蔵馬。母親の幸福も近いことから、今後人間としての役割に彼自身が戸惑っていくかも! ?

ラストはお待たせの蔵馬…なんだけど、 なんかヘンだねぇ…。

ぼ: あはは、案の定、妖狐蔵馬。...ちょびっとコワイかも…。

妖: オレを呼んだのはお前か? 何を聞こうというのだ…?

ぼ: いやさ、あんたじゃなくって蔵馬の方なんだけどさ… (ああつややこしい) 遊熟者の天沼との戦 いなんかで、冷徹になったイメー ジがあるんだけど、どうだい?

妖: ああ…たぶん、魔界の穴の影響を受けて、限りなくオレに近づいていたようだな。あと、前世の実の副作用でもある。どうやら、制限しきれない敵意が限界点に達すると、約50%ぐらいの確���で元の妖狐に戻るらしい。もつともその度に、〝南野秀一〟の生命力をかなりけずってしまうのだが…。

ぼ: そりゃ南野くんの蔵馬にとっちゃ、よくないねぇ。魔界の穴が開いてから、ずっと妖狐の姿だし。どっちの姿の方がいいんだい?

妖: 今のオレは妖狐の方がいい。だが、南野秀一のときには、南野 秀一の方がいいと思っているだろうな…。

ぼ: 南野くんの蔵馬の方はさ、やっぱりあんたが魔界の植物を操る妖怪だから、盟王高校でも生物部に入ってるのかねエ?

妖: いや、あれは一番ヒマそうだったからだけのようだな。

ぼ: 深い意味はなかったんだねぇ。じゃ、あの子は、これからもずっと人間界で、南野秀一として暮らしていくことになるのかね...?

妖: うむ、よっぽどのことがない限りそういうことになるだろうな 。

1. 異天津霊剣布都御魂  Kotoamatsu Reiken Futsu no Mitama A Sword God that bestows the power of Kami-oroshi unto the Five Great Swords. He appeared before the heroine for the sake of fighting the marebitos. 

2. 天下五剣 (Tenka Goken) The Five Great Swords Mikadzuki Munechika, Juzamaru, Dōjigiri, Oodenta, Onimaru Kunitsuna; these are the names of the five swords. The masters of these swords will be able to use the power of “Kami-oroshi”.

3. 鬼丸の姫 (Onimaru no Hime) Onimaru’s Princess A title bestowed upon Onimaru Kunitsuna’s wielder. Without one’s knowledge, this title was spread far and wide in Nakatsu no Kuni.

4. 刻者 (Tokijya) The Engraver A term Futsu no Mitama used when calling out to Onimaru’s Princess. It seems there is a deeper meaning behind it…… 

5. 神降 (Kami-oroshi) Descent of the Gods The power that allows one to seal the Marebitos and summon allies. However, the price to be paid is…… 

6. 現世 (Utsushiyo) The Present World The world of rebirth and reincarnation. A place where humans, onis and ayakashis live.

7. 常夜 (Tokoyo) The Land of Eternal Night An eternal world where time stopped flowing. A place where the immortal marebitos live.

8. 奈落衆 (Naraku-shū) The Hell Corps The forces led by Rokudō Rinne. They are tasked to steal the Five Great Swords and to achieve Rokudō Rinne’s plans to turn the Present World into a world of Marebitos.

9. 常世の門 (Tokoyo no Mon) The Gate of Eternal Night The five gates that connect the Land of Eternal Night to the Present World. The current existing gates are Yomotsu Hirasaka, Nirai Kanai, Kōmadan, Fudaraku and Rendaino. Each of these gates has its respective gatekeeper.

10. 六通輪廻 Rokudō Rinne The gatekeeper of Yomotsu Hirasaka. The constant conflict between the humans, onis and ayakashis; he believes that none of these are necessary and tries to take over Nakatsu no Kuni.

11. 魔尹臥無 Mayun Ganashi The gatekeeper of Nirai Kanai. Aoi’s older brother; an oni who was turned into a marebito.

12. 徳川忠長 Tokugawa Tadanaga The gatekeeper of Kōmadan. When he was alive, he lost his position and committed suicide; Rokudō Rinne then used Tadanaga’s grudge towards the Shogunate and used the Jewel of Resuscitation to revive him.

13. 蛭子神 Hiruko The gatekeeper of Fudaraku. She is Ruko’s sister. The guardian deity of the sea; she also plays the role of a gatekeeper in Nakatsu no Kuni.

14. 九尾 (Kyūbi) Nine Tails The gatekeeper of Rendaino. She turned into a Marebito due to a grudge towards Mitsukuni for sealing her.

15. 虚 (Utsuro) Void Rokudō Rinne’s hidden technique. He can create puppets by pouring blood unto Higanbanas. They take on the exact appearance of those from the Present World.

16. 日光東照宮 (Nikkō Tōshōgū) Nikkō Tōshō-gū Shrine The headquarters that Tokugawa Iemitsu presented to Onimaru’s Princess to defeat the marebito army. There are various facilities such as a smithy, a hot spring, a dojo, living quarters, etc. However, the miasma around the Tōshō-gū Shrine needs to be cleansed before use...…  **Note: There’s an actual shrine with the same name in real life.

17. 御命試合 (Gozenjiai) The Sword Tournament A tournament that is held in the presence of the Shogun to obtain the rights to the Five Great Swords.

18. 一番刀 Ichibangatana A title bestowed upon the winners of the Sword Tournament. They are also awarded with one of the Five Great Swords.

19. 芝右衛門狸 Shibaemon Tanuki A youkai that the heroine rescued. He serves as a guide; in the story, he plays an active part as a local deity. He can turn into a teapot with pourable tea.

20. 四神護符 (Shishin Gofu) Talismans of the Four Gods The four types of talismans used to ward off the miasma surrounding Tōshō-gū Shrine. The Suzaku Talisman, the Seiryū Talisman, the Byakko Talisman and the Genbu Talisman.

21. 瘴気 (Shōki) Miasma Miasma from Tokoyo. It can pollute the Present World and cause corrosion. 

22. 瘴気侵蝕 (Shōki Shinshoku) Miasma Corrosion When youkais are corroded by the miasma, they will enter berserk mode.

23. 小田原提灯 (Odawara Djōchin) Cylindrical Paper Lantern A lantern that can ward off evil spirits. Sutras are written onto the lantern; it seems that the Marebitos are unable to approach it.

24. 木霊 (Kodama) Tree Sprites Youkais that live in trees. Only those with special abilities can see them.

25. 三神宝 (Sanjinbō) The Three Sacred Treasures **Folklore version These treasures can ward off miasma. Sword of Yaegaki, Mirror of Mafutsu and Ame-naru-fumi. **Note: Ame-naru-fumi = Sacred scriptures that contains the writings of Ame-naru-michi (the Way of Heaven)

*Took liberties here. A more literally translation with implication stated is: I will be borrowing your esteemed kitchen for a while. Basically, Shirou breaks out a really formal level of Japanese that is outside his normal parameters of speech.

Instructions 1:

First create and prepare the Karashi butter by mixing Karashi* and butter in a pan until it becomes paste like.

*Wagarashi is a unique type of spicy, Japanese mustard, but in the American sphere the ingredient is called “Karashi”

Instruction 2 box: To prepare the sauce, we will be using mayonnaise, grained mustard, honey, and crushed pepper. The ingredients will be mixed together to make the sandwich sauce.

Aside near bowls :Margarine is a suitable replacement for butter

Upper right bottle: Mayonnaise

Bottom right bottle: Pepper

Upper left bottle: Honey

Bottom left bottle: Grained Mustard

Instruction bubble 1:

Boil water with a pinch of salt and then heat the leafy green vegetable in the hot water until its stem becomes firm. This process will take between one to two minutes.

Instruction 2: When the water boils, place the vegetables into a bowl of cold water.

Aside in Instruction 2: Be sure to pour the scum out to remove the bitterness

Instruction: Remove excess water.

Instruction 1: Season the egg with salt and then scramble.

Aside: If possible, try to avoid breaking the egg into multiple pieces.

On a slice of loaf bread, spread the Karashi Butter and fill out the sandwich.

1. Spread the Karshi Butter

2. Set the bacon.

In the next step, the vegetables will be added. However, it is not recommended to allow the vegetables to come in direct contact with bread.

3. Used the shocked vegetables to fill the bread slice.  

If the harder ingredients are layered this way, the sandwich would be easier to cut in the end.

4. Add the sauce,

6. and then the last slice of bread.

Instruction 1: Immediately after that and before you consider cutting the sandwich, you will want to preserve the bread's moisture by wrapping the sandwich in plastic wrap.

Instruction 2: Using a flat object, flatten the sandwich so that the ingredients will distribute itself evenly. This process should not take too long, but somewhere between five to ten minutes should be good.

Aside: A cutting board would be sufficient for the job.

Salad oil : (in a proper quantity)

Salt:  (in a proper quantity)

(A) Karabutter:

Karashi: 2~4 G

Butter or Margarine: 50 G

 (B) Sandwich Sauce:

Mayonnaise:  4 tablespoons

Grained Mustard: 2 tablespoons

Honey: 2/3 Teaspoon

Crushed Pepper: A pinch of it

If you have extra sauce, you can use it as a dipping sauce!

 Point: You do not want the moisture from the ingredients to soak into the bread.

Point 2: Arranging the sandwich by toughest ingredient will making cutting the sandwich easier.

Right Side:

Charlock Sandwich

1. At room temperature, mix the ingredients in A and create the Karabutter spread.

Mix the seasoning in B together to make the sauce.  If you have something like a clean plastic bag, please follow the instructional diagram.

               Diagram on the right of Step 1:

                               B's Sauce.

                               Bubble 1: If you have a bag, then this step will be convenient.

However, if you don't have a bag that is fine. You can use a spoon to distribute the spread.

Diagram line 2: By cutting one of the pointed ends of the bag, you can use the bag to cleanly and easily distribute sauce.

 2. Add the charlock into boiling salted water for 1 to 2 minutes and then dump the vegetable into the bowl filled with ice water. When the vegetable cools down, use something like a napkin to absorb some of the moisture.

               !. If the vegetable absorbs too much water, it will become soggy.

3. Season the bottom of the egg with salt, scramble the egg in a frying pan. (Avoid breaking the egg)

4. The bacon should be cut in a few large size pieces and cook in oil from a low to medium heat until it is well done. Once that is done, use something like a napkin to absorb the surplus oil.

               !. The oil easily splashes out of the pan, so be careful.

5. On a slice of bread, spread the Karabutter evenly

Arrange the sandwich like this: the bottom slice of bread -> Bacon -> vegetable -> The Sauce from B -> The scrambled Eggs -> The top slice of bread.

6. Wrap the sandwich is something like plastic wrap. Use a flat object and lay it on top of the sandwich between 5-10 minutes. Once the ingredients are evenly distributed, the sandwich is complete.

Q1: What is the difference between the spirit sword (reiken) and the dimension sword (jigentou)? Which one do you prefer personally? A: Spirit Sword is easier to use. Q2: Kurama is a plant user, is that the reason he’s a member of the Biology Club at Meiou High School after all? A: It’s because it seemed to be the least busy. Q3: As long as there are no extraordinary circumstances, will you live in the human world as Shuichi Minamino? A: As long as there aren’t any extraordinary circumstances, I think so. Q4: Will you inform Kuwabara about Hiei's younger sister (Yukina)? A: Such a funny thing...I can't. Q5: You’ve been quite cool-headedness recently... A: It seems I’m getting closer to Youko due to the influence of the Makai’s tunnel and the side effects of the "Fruit of the Previous Life". When hostility can no longer be restricted and reaches a critical point, there's an approximately 50% chance of returning to the original state (Youko). note: this thing about Shuichi's life being CONSIDERABLY reduced was never explored in the series and Togashi's never spoken about the issue again. So, it's hard to tell whether Minamino's body and personality will both vanish, how and when, without any further explanation. Leaves room for interpretation. - Hiei

Q: You’ve playing the underdog role a lot recently, how about that? A: I’m no underdog. You bastards’ mistake.

note: the word used in japanese is "yarare" role and means a character that is destined to lose the fights. It's usually an expendable role that serves to highlight the protagonist's power. Probably a joke from the interviewer (Botan) who is teasing Hiei, because he didn’t do much in the Black Chapter’s Arc, losing his soul to Kaito, disappearing the entire saga, sleeping during Amanuma’s match and finally being beaten by Sensui. Q: Although you keep your distance and have a neutral relationship with Yusuke and the others, how will it be henceforth? A: We may not meet again in two or three years. Q: You fell down from a tree when the “itako” whistle was blown, where are you staying at? A: On the tree. Q: What if Yukina-chan falls in love with Kuwabara…? What would you do? Q1: 霊剣と次元刀の違いは？個人的にはどっちが好き？ A: 霊剣の方がつかいやすい。次元刀は思うように出ねーし。

Q2 仙水に捕まっている間、何かされてた？ A: 仙水といっしょにビデオを見てた。（戦争映画らしい）

Q3:「幽助と勝負する」という、昔からの念願はかなえる気があるの？ A: たまにやってんぞ。見えないところで。

Q4: 静流姉ちゃんの方が強そう！戦士にする気は？ A: 本人にまったくその気なし。

蔵馬

Q1: 蔵馬（南野秀一）の時と妖狐の時。自分ではどっちの姿が好き？ A: 妖狐の時は妖狐がいいし、南野秀一の時は南野秀一がいい。

Q2: 蔵馬は植物使いだから、盟王高校でもやっぱり生物部所属？ A: 一番ヒマそうだったから。

Q3: よっぽどの事がない限り、人間界で南野秀一として生活をしていく？ A: よっぽどの事がない限り、そうでしょう。

Q4: 桑原に、飛影の妹（雪菜）のことを教えたりする？ A: そんな面白い事…。教えるはずがない。

Q5: 最近はかなり冷徹になってきたねぇ… A: 魔界との穴の影響で、限りなく妖狐に近いづいていたようだ。前世の実の副作用。制限仕切れない敵意が限界点に達すると、約５０%くらいの確率で元に戻るらしい。その度に南野秀一の生命力をかなり削っている。

飛影

Q1: 最近ヤラレ役が多いけど、その辺どう？ A:やられてない。貴様らのカンちがいだ。

Q2: 幽助たちとは付かず離れずの関係だけど、今後どうするの？ A:二、三年したらまた会ってやらんでもない。

Q3: イタコ笛を吹いたら木から落ちてたけど、どこで寝泊まりしてるの？ A:木の上。

Q4: もしも雪菜ちゃんが桑原にほれてしまったら…。どうする？ A:あり得ん。…うむ、あり得ん。
