HILLTOP VILLAGE.
Above: a 2003 photograph revamped 2023.
Hungary is known for its charming countryside with rolling hills and quaint villages. As I was working on COUNTRYSIDE VILLAGE I was reminded that a scene such as this can evoke the imagination. It can speak thousands of words. The creation of atmosphere, perhaps of a children's book.
Children's books often draw inspiration from real-world landscapes to create magical and timeless settings. This hilltop village could serve as a delightful backdrop for a story featuring curious characters, hidden secrets, and heartwarming moments.
THE PHOTOGRAPH.
COUNTRYSIDE VILLAGE was captured with a Nikon E5000 camera. An early model digital camera; it had a 5 megapixel sensor. By today’s standards this is very small. I don’t believe one can even purchase a new 5 megapixel camera anymore. As technology and my post production techniques improved over the years I’ve revisited my photographs of Hungary a couple of times.
ORDER FINE ART PRINTS OF THIS PHOTOGRAPH.
COUNTRYSIDE VILLAGE is available with a gorgeous selection of photographic paper to choose from.
My ultimate goal is creating tactile, printed artwork that is displayed on your wall. Sharing photography digitally is but a start. Images meticulously printed on fine-art paper is where the beauty of the still image lies.
The studio features a newly installed 12 ink printer capable of creating large and small fine-art prints. Custom print profiles and professional-grade photographic papers allow me to create pieces of art for you.

The Tower: MAG 008 - Burned Out
"People had always whispered about Agnes, but now the whispers got nasty. Nasty enough that when smoke was seen pouring out of the old Fielding house a week after little Henry disappeared, no-one did a thing. No-one phoned the fire brigade or tried to help. They just watched. Agnes must not have phoned for assistance either, as by the time the fire trucks arrived, there was nothing left to save.
Through it all, nobody saw any sign of life from within the building. No screaming, no movement, nothing but the roaring of the flames. When the fire was finally put out, they did find human remains, but it wasn’t Agnes, nor was it Henry White. The only body they found was that of Raymond Fielding. All that was left was a badly-charred skeleton, missing its right hand."

So yeah, we flooded this weekend, about 3 inches of water standing on the floor, all the kitties clinging to me when I woke up. Ravioli is traumatized, he is sensitive.
We've just now gotten it all dried out, everything up off the floor, prepping for round 2 of storms which will happen anywhere from today to the end of this week. The storm system is really volatile so they keep changing the dates it'll hit us. But we're ready....
I hope.
