Overview of Agra, Mathura, and Vrindavan
Before delving into the tour details, it’s essential to understand the significance of these three destinations.
Agra is home to the world-renowned Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This magnificent white marble mausoleum was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Agra is also known for its rich Mughal history, seen in architectural wonders like the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.
Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, is a major pilgrimage destination for Hindus. Its history dates back to over 5,000 years, with references in ancient scriptures and mythology. Mathura is dotted with temples, ghats, and ancient relics that give visitors a glimpse into its spiritual significance.
Vrindavan, located just a few kilometers from Mathura, is where Lord Krishna spent his childhood. It’s a sacred town filled with temples dedicated to Krishna and Radha. The town exudes a peaceful aura, attracting pilgrims and devotees from around the world.

Taj Mahal: No visit to Agra is complete without seeing the Taj Mahal. This iconic structure is not only a symbol of eternal love but also a masterpiece of Mughal craftsmanship. Marvel at the intricate carvings, the marble inlays, and the perfectly symmetrical gardens surrounding the mausoleum. The early morning or sunset view of the Taj Mahal is particularly breathtaking.
Agra Fort: Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Agra Fort is a sprawling complex that once served as the residence of the Mughal emperors. Walk through its imposing gates and explore the grand palaces, mosques, and courtyards that offer a glimpse into royal life.
Fatehpur Sikri: A short drive from Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is a deserted city that once served as the Mughal capital. Its red sandstone buildings, including the Buland Darwaza and Jama Masjid, showcase the architectural prowess of the Mughals.
Mehtab Bagh: Located across the Yamuna River from the Taj Mahal, Mehtab Bagh is a beautiful garden offering a panoramic view of the Taj. It’s the perfect spot for photography enthusiasts looking to capture a unique perspective of the monument.
Mathura: The Birthplace of Lord Krishna
After experiencing the grandeur of Agra, the tour moves to Mathura, a city steeped in religious significance. Here’s what you can expect:
Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple: This temple is the most revered site in Mathura, believed to be the exact birthplace of Lord Krishna. The temple complex is vast, with shrines dedicated to various deities. Devotees flock here in large numbers to offer prayers and seek blessings.
Dwarkadhish Temple: One of the most important temples in Mathura, Dwarkadhish Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple’s architecture is stunning, with beautiful carvings and paintings adorning its walls. The festive atmosphere during Janmashtami (Krishna’s birthday) is a sight to behold.
Vishram Ghat: Located on the banks of the Yamuna River, Vishram Ghat is a significant pilgrimage spot where devotees take a dip in the holy waters. It is believed that Lord Krishna rested here after killing the demon Kansa. The evening aarti (prayer ceremony) at the ghat is a spiritually uplifting experience.
Vrindavan: The Land of Devotion and Love
Vrindavan, closely associated with Lord Krishna’s early years, is the next stop on your Agra Mathura Vrindavan Tour Package. The town is a hub for spiritual seekers and Krishna devotees. Some key attractions include:
Banke Bihari Temple: One of the most famous temples in Vrindavan, Banke Bihari Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The deity is worshiped in his child form, and the temple’s atmosphere is filled with devotion and joy. The chanting of hymns and the rhythmic ringing of bells create an aura of divinity.
Prem Mandir: A relatively modern temple, Prem Mandir is an architectural marvel made of white marble. The temple is dedicated to Radha Krishna and tells the stories of Krishna’s life through intricate carvings and light displays. The temple’s evening light and fountain show is a highlight for visitors.
ISKCON Temple: Also known as Krishna Balaram Mandir, the ISKCON Temple in Vrindavan is a major attraction for devotees from around the world. The temple complex is serene and beautifully maintained, with regular prayer sessions and kirtans (devotional songs) enhancing the spiritual atmosphere.
Seva Kunj and Nidhivan: These sacred groves are believed to be the places where Lord Krishna performed the raas leela (divine dance) with Radha and the gopis. The tranquil environment and spiritual significance of these spots make them must-visit locations in Vrindavan.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Helicopter from Lucknow
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Helicopter from Lucknow: A Divine Journey
The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is one of the most revered pilgrimages for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon followers. This sacred journey, centered around Mount Kailash, the abode of Lord Shiva, and Lake Mansarovar, is an experience that combines spiritual enlightenment with the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas. For those seeking a more convenient and less strenuous option, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Helicopter from Lucknow offers a unique opportunity to undertake this holy journey with ease and comfort.
Why Choose the Helicopter Route?
The traditional route to Kailash Mansarovar is arduous, involving long treks and high-altitude travel, which can be physically demanding. However, the helicopter route significantly reduces the journey time and the physical strain, making the Yatra accessible to a wider range of pilgrims, including elderly devotees or those with time constraints.
Starting the journey from Lucknow is especially beneficial for pilgrims in North India. It provides a seamless connection to the helicopter services, ensuring that the Yatra is completed efficiently and comfortably.
Itinerary of the Yatra
Day 1: Arrival in Lucknow
Pilgrims gather in Lucknow, where they will be welcomed by representatives from Jwalamukhi Tours. After a brief orientation, the group is transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay, preparing for the spiritual journey ahead.
Day 2: Lucknow to Nepalgunj
After breakfast, the group is transferred to Lucknow Airport for a flight to Nepalgunj, a city located on the India-Nepal border.
Upon arrival, the pilgrims are taken to their hotel. The evening is free for relaxation and exploring the local area.
A briefing on the next day’s schedule is given before dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Nepalgunj to Simikot
Early in the morning, the group boards a chartered flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, a remote village in the Humla district of Nepal.
After reaching Simikot, the group checks in at the hotel and prepares for the next stage of the journey. The day is spent acclimatizing to the high altitude of Simikot, which is essential to ensure a comfortable Yatra experience.
Day 4: Simikot to Hilsa via Helicopter, Then to Taklakot
The day begins with a helicopter ride from Simikot to Hilsa, a border town near the Nepal-China border. Upon landing in Hilsa, the group crosses the border on foot and proceeds to Taklakot (Burang), located in Tibet. After clearing Chinese immigration, the group is driven to their hotel in Taklakot for rest and acclimatization.
Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Taklakot
The entire day is reserved for acclimatization at Taklakot, which is at an altitude of approximately 4,000 meters.
Pilgrims can use this day to rest, meditate, and prepare spiritually for the upcoming visit to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar.
Day 6: Taklakot to Mansarovar Lake
The journey continues with a drive from Taklakot to the sacred Mansarovar Lake.
Upon arrival, the group participates in a holy dip in the lake, believed to cleanse sins and bring spiritual liberation.
Pilgrims also perform rituals and offer prayers on the shores of the lake, experiencing the divine energy of the place.
The group then drives to the nearby guesthouse for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Mansarovar to Darchen
After an early morning ritual at Mansarovar, the group drives to Darchen, the base camp for the Mount Kailash circumambulation (Kora).
Darchen is located at the foothills of Mount Kailash, and the day is spent resting and preparing for the Kora.
Day 8: First Day of Kailash Kora
The Kora, a 52-kilometer circumambulation around Mount Kailash, begins early in the morning.
Pilgrims walk or ride ponies along the route, which is considered the most challenging part of the Yatra. The first day of the Kora ends at Dirapuk, where the group stays overnight.
Day 9: Second Day of Kailash Kora
The second day of the Kora involves crossing the Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the pilgrimage at 5,630 meters. The group then descends to Zuthulphuk, where they will rest for the night.
Day 10: Completion of Kora and Return to Taklakot
The final leg of the Kora concludes as the group returns to Darchen and then drives back to Taklakot for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Return Journey
The group begins the return journey by driving to Hilsa, crossing the border, and taking a helicopter ride back to Simikot.
From Simikot, they fly to Nepalgunj and then onwards to Lucknow, where the Yatra officially concludes. Essential Tips for Pilgrims
Physical Fitness: Although the helicopter route is less demanding, it is still advisable for pilgrims to undergo a basic health check-up and engage in light physical exercises before embarking on the Yatra.
Packing Essentials: Warm clothing, comfortable footwear, personal medications, and necessary travel documents are crucial for a safe and comfortable journey.
Spiritual Preparation: The Yatra is not just a physical journey but a deeply spiritual one. Pilgrims are encouraged to engage in meditation, prayer, and self-reflection before and during the journey.
Conclusion

The Land of Gods – Dev bhoomi
Uttarakhand is the 27th state of the Republic of India. It was carved out of Uttar Pradesh on 9th November 2000. Uttarakhand is also called Dev Bhoomi as it has many important shrines. Located at the foothills of the Himalayas, this State in India has international boundaries with China (Tibet) in the north and Nepal in the east. The state is divided into 2 administrative zones: Kumaon and Garhwal which share a total of 13 districts under them. 6 districts in Kumaon and 7 districts in Garhwal. The districts of Kumaon region are Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital, Pithoragarh and Udham Singh Nagar. The districts of Garhwal region are Chamoli, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi.
I hv been visiting Uttarakhand since childhood. It was Uttar Pradesh then and have visited it even when it became Uttarakhand. Every summer, my banker father would book us a vacation and we girls would bundle up and head towards the North of India. It would be either Delhi, Madhya Pradesh or any city in Uttarakhand.. Delhi is directly connected to many  places in Uttarakhand. After a short visit to Delhi, we would head towards Dehra Dun and other connected places.  I have visited Dehra Dun, Mussoorie, Rishikesh an infinite number of times and have very beautiful Memories of these places etched in the sands of time.  Even after so many trips to Uttarakhand, we never visited any place in the Kumaon region. That’s because of our fascination to Garhwal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The beautiful Badrinath temple, Joshimath - the winter abode of Lord Badrinarayan, Kedarnath temple,Nanda Devi peak,Rudraprayag, Devprayag, Vishnu Prayag, Neelkanth peak are all located in the Chamoli district of The Garhwal region. Badrinath temple is a major pilgrimage site. It’s one of the Char dham yatra sites -  the four abodes as defined by Adi Shankaracharya. It is believed that every Hindu must do this four abodes trip to attain Moksh(salvation). The other three are Dwaraka, Puri and Rameshwaram. The smaller circuit of the char dham is here in Uttarakhand  -  Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri temples. Badrinath is located on the banks of Alaknanda river and at a height of 3133 m above sea level. Joshimath is the gateway to this pilgrim centre and also to several Himalayan climbing expeditions.
Garhwal Himalayan terrain is a very hilly one. Landslides, cloud bursts, heavy rains, flash floods are a part of the package that you could book. These natural phenomenon often disrupt one’s journey. We should, therefore, be prepared with emergencies while travelling to Garhwal. While for the traveller it’s just a disrupted journey,  life comes to a standstill for the natives with communications and transport stopped until it all recedes. Our visit to the Badrinath temple was one such a trip where we experienced the wrath of the Weather. The bus journey that we had undertaken from Rishikesh to Badrinath had to be halted as the road ahead had been damaged  due to landslide. We were at Joshimath then and took shelter at a Dharamshala. journey would resume once the rains stopped and the road restored. Fortunately we were able to move on with the journey the next day and take the Badrinath Darshan. The majestic Neelkanth peak was another mesmerising massif which we were able to experience and we felt very fortunate to be In its presence
Tumblr media
Every city or district name in Uttarakhand Is a sort of hyperlink to  Inexhaustible geographical detail and natural beauty. Landslides are surely a part of this place but an Uttarakhand tour is nothing if something exciting doesn’t happen. Every nook, every corner, every turn, every stretch, every valley, the huge mountains, the ashrams and the shrines will make moments of your life an everlasting one.

LONDON CHRONICLES: A PILGRIMAGE THROUGH EMINENT LANDMARKS, CULINARY DELIGHTS, AND CULTURAL WONDERS
Tumblr media
In my recent trip to London, I was fascinated with a variety of landmarks and cultures, but the greatest fascination was the red post telephone booth which is unique with Britain. Located at the end of one of those small city streets, the booth represented time-honored practices in the middle of the highly technological environment. When I got near it the feeling of comfort came over me, like I was going to enter space ship which has been in the time capsule for years.
The door of the house was bright red but it seemed to have faded somewhat with time though it was still very striking against the gray sky in London; I was encouraged to go in. The interior was not very big but portrayed history, every stain on the wall seemed to be a record of all the discussions that took place in this room. At the time I thought about how many people used the poles for similar purpose like me- calling loved ones, celebrating happy times or planning unhappy ones or just to make plans for future. A very basic structure which was this booth also gave a feeling of a little private world where one could just relax and step back from the chaos of life in the city.
I eventually proceeded around London and even as I continued moving around, I felt that it was a rather customary construction but it proved to be significant enough to make me want to take a picture with it. The telephone booth was still standing in London which I believe is a sign that there is greatness in anticipating the future yet at the same time there is greatness in conserving history.

Tours at the Shri Sanatan Alperton Hindu Mandir in London was great, a great opportunity to get familiar with the Hindu culture and traditions. The first time when I entered the building that had beautiful glass carved wooden doors, I immediately felt calm and sacredness. When I set foot into the mandir due to stunning works of craftsmanship in the form of the domes apart from the carved wooden doors it gave me the feeling that I was in completely different world different from the busy streets of London.
In the premises of mandir the fragrance of incense filled the air and the sound of mantras being chanted was very calming. I paused for a minute, I realized all the gods were artistically designed; wearing nice clothes and attractive colors representing different spirits. After catching my breath and settling down on the mat of the prayer hall, I couldn’t but feel connected to something beyond myself – the spirituality in the hall and the people. It was a poignant note that one could only recall the fact that faith does not see colour and how a temple like the Shri Sanatan Mandir unites them all.
I do not recall my Shri Sanatan Alperton Hindu Mandir experience as a mere culture-vulture exercise as watching living tradition unrolling in front of me. It only made me embrace the beauty of Hindu rituals which are very much profound in their spiritual significance. This was a time to be thoughtful and to pray, a that I will be sure to never forget and the significance and peace of nature in the middle of the chaos.

Our trip to the picturesque town of the Cotswolds is seen as location shooting in one of the areas that look like they have been transported straight from the medieval ages. The narrow honeycolored stone villages were giving me the impression of telling stories of ages and ages. The numerous hills of North Yorkshire could be seen in the background with sheep grazing on it, creating scenes that looked so picturesque they could be movie set-ups. Just around every corner there was something interesting—a lovely little tea house here and there, a three hundred year old church there and so on; the area is just plain cute. There was an eerie feeling of time standstill and I was completely in the serene countryside setting.
It was the great pleasure to visit the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-water which is also called the Venice of the Cotswolds because a gentle river also flows through the village which is divided with arched stone bridges. I passed the afternoon walking by the river side and visiting shops one is a small dress shop or two is an English tea shop that served scones and clotted cream and jam. Kindness of the people and the generally relaxed atmosphere helped to make me focus on the beauty of nature and history in such an agreeable manner.
This is the kind of feeling that I got in the end of my stay in the picturesque village in the Cotswolds region of England. This was something that made me fall in love with the region, timeless beauty of the region, the history and most importantly the friendliness of the people. It was actually more than just a trip as it had become rather a message about how beautiful and slow life is as we walk and discover the world hidden in the corners. Without any doubt, the Cotswolds, surrounded by its beautiful countryside and picturesque villages, will always be one of my favorite places reminding me that there is nothing better than beauty, calm, and the grace of English countryside.

Walking through the gates of the Buckingham Palace the unique and timeless atmosphere of the elegance and royal sophistication can be felt. The recent experience that I had here was incredible I can confidently say was incredible. Even before getting into the palace, this was one of the biggest buildings I have ever seen and it was magnificent. While the designs painted on the exterior and interior were very detailed and the garden was also well-cared, it felt and seemed like a typical British Royal magnum opun.
In my opinion the most memorable session that I took during my visit was the one that led to the State Rooms. Every room is outstanding in its decoration and equipped with luxurious furniture and genuine mementos which reflect the history of the British crown. In this respect, it was indeed possible to imagine that there were still echoes of history of important events and royal banquets from inside the palace hall. The masterpiece displayed in the palace and the excellent furnishing confirmed the historical value of the palace as well as the symbol of royalty.
Walking around in the palace at night was very pleasant with the difference between the lively city environ and the calm of the palace. Watching the Changing of the Guard was perhaps the nicest traditional British vignette I could have included to the experience. After visiting the Buckingham Palace I realized that it is not just a palace but a part of history that shows people like us the lifestyles of British royal family.
