small world and stuff wow it's really late

It's really weird when you spend hours in the middle of night listening to Japanese Jazz and the artist matrix links you to Shiina Ringo then Tokyo Jihen then Hirama Mikio, and finally you decide to look up with one youtube who made a series of poor life choices but somehow manage to be in an short lived indie duo that had someone who breathed the same air as your ultimate idol on the guitar so you wildly resented her. Then you find this youtuber with poor decision making skills and turns out she's become a hipster in your hometown.

She said her time in the band really sucked and she is a lot better off in the US, so I immediately felt some kind of hope that she'd gotten her life together and then realized that she hadn't a very good track record, and I might just want to stick with my bias for brilliant Japanese rockers.

I don't know anymore. I just want to be in a band with Ringo. Or you know, something.

Oh Sunshine - Beautiful.

Hirama Mikio new project, with Emily Connor (Canadian lives in Tokyo, previously on c.cedille). slow-blues, or something like it. their first album, oh sunshine, was released in Jan 26th, 2011. and i just discover them now, what a shame. Mikio looks effortlessly gorgeous here. :3.. the bw video and the slow guitar rhythm, i like it.
