i’ve been insanely invested in chihayafuru for the past week and i’m almost done with s3 of it already like that’s how fast i binged it, and i can’t wait to savor the rest of it in the manga as the latter isn’t fully adapted (which is a bummer, that show is such a gem, but still grateful for the 3 seasons of the anime we got). of course, new show means new fictional crushes so i will be quickly introducing them to you :>

suo hisashi — the dorky genius. i was so intimidated by him at first but he’s just a little guy at the end of the day

wataya arata — i can die and kill for his fukui dialect

mashima taichi — i was super skeptical about him at first but he’s got the greatest character development out of everyone (so far) so i ended up falling very hard for him, he’s too precious

Con tutti questi annunci e trailer, cosa è rimasto per l'AnimeJapan?!

Ho iniziato a raccogliere le varie news venerdì pomeriggio. Ogni volta che pensavo di aver finito, usciva qualcosa di nuovo. Ancora e ancora, non sto scherzando! A più riprese ero lì, che mi guardavo attorno, in cerca di qualche telecamera nascosta 🤨 Ho letteralmente esaurito il numero di embed per i video che mi consente Tumblr, senza andare a scomodare l'editor html!

Considerato che la prossima settimana si tiene la nuova edizione dell'AnimeJapan, ci sono veramente tanti annunci dei quali parlare e una serie pressoché infinita di trailer. Quindi bando le ciance, buon ANIME RECAP e visto che ci siamo, auguri a tutti i papà!

🔶🔸RANKING OF KINGS: TREASURE CHEST OF COURAGE

Non si sa ancora quanti episodi saranno, ma il sito ufficiale ci comunica che lo special televisivo andrà in onda settimanalmente a partire dal 13 aprile.

La prima stagione della serie animata è già disponibile in streaming su Crunchyroll, sia sottotitolata che doppiata in italiano.

La school action fantasy comedy, tratta dal popolare manga di Hajime Koumoto, arriverà in simulcast su Crunchyroll dal 7 aprile.

La serie è diretta da Tomoya Tanaka (Engage Kiss, Visual Prison) e prodotta presso A-1 PICTURES.

L'anime dell’office romantic comedy firmata da Saisou, arriverà a cominciare da luglio.

L'adattamento è diretto da Mitsutoshi Sato (Ikki Tousen: Western Wolves, Bakumatsu Crisis) e in lavorazione presso PROJECT No.9. 

🔶🔸DEAD MOUNT DEATH PLAY

L’action a tinte soprannaturali, ispirato all'omonimo manga scritto da Ryohgo Narita (Durarara!!, Baccano!, Fate/Strange Fake) e illustrato da Shinta Fujimoto (Red Raven), arriverà su Crunchyroll dal 10 aprile.

La serie sarà divisa in due parti, con la seconda programmata per ottobre.

L’adattamento è diretto da Manabu Ono (Sword Art Online: Alicization, Sakura Wars the Animation), presso lo studio GEEK TOYS.

🔶🔸THE VEXATIONS OF A SHUT-IN VAMPIRE PRINCESS

L'action fantasy comedy (con un pizzico di juicy yuri che non fa mai male 👀) debutterà in Giappone a ottobre.

La serie animata si basa sulla light novel firmata da Kotei Kobayashi. La regia è affidata a Tatsuma Minamikawa (Nami yo Kiitekure, Fire Force - Stagione 2) e il progetto è targato PROJECT No.9.

🔶🔸KUMA KUMA KUMA BEAR PUNCH!

La seconda stagione della commedia isekai, tratta dalla light novel di Kumano, comincerà dal 3 aprile.

Lo staff è lo stesso della prima stagione, andata in onda due anni fa. A dirigere l'adattamento presso EMT Squared ci sono sempre Yuu Nobuta (The Faraway Paladin, High School Fleet) e Hisashi Ishii (I’m Quitting Heroing).

🔶🔸HIGHSPEED ETOILE

Nessuna novità riguardo allo staff, ma in questo primo teaser le waifu ci sono eccome!

Il character design è quello riconoscibile di Takuya Fujima (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid, Warlords of Sigrdrifa). La serie farà il suo debutto in tv nel corso del 2024.

Il fantasy rpg di Koei Tecmo ispirerà una serie animata, che arriverà già questa estate!

L'adattamento è in cantiere presso LIDENFILMS (Call of the Night, La mia maestra non mostra la coda) e vede il debutto ala regia di Emma Yuzuriha.

🔶🔸ALYA SOMETIMES HIDES HER FEELINGS IN RUSSIAN

La commedia romantica firmata da Sunsunsun ispirerà una serie animata. L'annuncio non ha svelato quando arriverà e chi si sta occupando della trasposizione della novel (della quale esiste anche una versine manga volendo).

Per le voci dei due protagonisti sono, però, già confermati Kohei Amasaki (Otto in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-) e Sumire Uesaka (Hayase Nagatoro in Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro), rispettivamente i doppiatori di Masachika Kuze e Alisa Mikhailovna Kujo.

🔶🔸THE FIRE HUNTER

La serie tornerà prossimamente con una seconda stagione. I primi 10 episodi del fantasy post-apocalittico, tratto dalla serie di romanzi di Rieko Hinata, sono in streaming su Crunchyroll.

L'anime è diretto da Junji Nishimura (Ranma ½, ViVid Strike!, True Tears, Vlad Love), mentre il grande Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell, The Sky Crawlers, Jin-Roh - Uomini e lupi, Lamù - Beautiful Dreamer, Vlad Love, Tenshi no Tamago) si sta occupando della sceneggiatura.

Il nuovo manga di Yusei Matsui verrà adattato in una serie animata da CLOVERWORKS (Bocchi the Rock!, My Dress-Up Darling), dietro alla direzione del debuttante Yuta Yamazaki.

L'avventura storica dell'autore di ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM è edita qua in Italia da Panini Comics, sotto l'etichetta Planet Manga.

Pensavate davvero di aver salutato Gintama una volta per tutte? il Professor Ginpachi è qui per smentirvi.

La novel spin-off, scritta da Tomohito Osaki, ispirerà prossimamente un anime vero e proprio.

🔶🔸THE iDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS

Il franchise torna prepotentemente in tv con un'altra nuova serie. Dopo THE iDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS: U149 e THE iDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE, in arrivo rispettivamente dal 5 aprile e da ottobre, adattamento confermato anche per il browser game SHINY COLORS.

La serie di 12 episodi verrà trasmessa durante la stagione primaverile 2024, ma passerà in anteprima nei cinema divisa in tre appuntamenti, il prio dei quali è fissato per il 27 ottobre.

Realizzata presso POLYGON PICTURES, a dirigerla troviamo Mankyu (The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls Theater, The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague).

what's even there to enjoy in the latest volumes they are all boring and SIMPLY VERY PREDICTABLE we all know that Chihaya & Arata will win so what? such real boring shit lately...

Really? I'd love then to talk to you more I have tons of questions I want to ask, you seem to know:

Will Chihaya and/or Arata send Tachi or SE? This is huge and I wonder if sensei will not draw an interesting inner debate on which to send, it's really not easy and very important!

What are the remaining dead cards? I wonder if another TA card is still unread? so TACHI is a 2 syllables card, will sensei use this? how will Arata defeat Suo's good hearing if it gets read? Suo can hear a sound 0.5 tone before anyone else, Chihaya might take it but what about Arata?

No wait, it's even a bigger problem if it's not 2 syllables card!!

Also why TACHI vs SE despite all the importance placed on SE all this time, how is TACHI qualified to be used in a meaningful comparison with SE? Could it be that TACHI was given to Taichi by both Arata & Chihaya the same way Arata gave CHIHA to Chihaya and Taichi gave WATA-YA to Arata that's why they'll take it both and Taichi will feel some kind of inclusion and be reminded of team Chihayafuru? how emotional would that be!!

You seem to know, you can predict, can you tell me? because It's not good to send a card you want to take in the luck-of-the-draw, you are always to keep it instead because you'll have a bigger chance to get it by defending but Chihaya is an offensive player a real one, to the core too! what will she do? both cards are important and she said that she lets go of what she wants to take the most to go on the offensive and take it, will she do something like that? So it's TACHI in this case right? because Chihaya can also hear it 0.5 tone before Shinobu and Shinobu was always better when it comes to SE, oh wait! but what about Suo still SENDING SE to Arata despite knowing that Arata is cooking something? Some strategy? Wait, Arata! Arata saying the 99th card!! could it be that he predicted all the cards that will be read? I feel amusingly curious i did some math and I could only guess that HOTOTOGISU is one of the dead cards (and I could be totally wrong lol), what does Arata know? also the fate of the luck-of-the-draw is practically in his hands because he has to send the card that won't be read and keep the one that'll be read with him, if he is qualified to become a meijin he should be able to tell this right? like Harada sensei and Suo, Suo can't do anything but receive a card and try to find a way to take the one on Arata's side first.

but wait no, Arata could also use his acceleration? he can accelerate even on his own side but attacking?! how could I forget this possibility? but wait, his injured hand, won't it be in the way?

Everything is predictable you say? then pray tell me, how are we gonna arrive to that result (Chihaya & Arata winning)?

What will Taichi learn during this? Sudo has been drawn as a very loyal friend to Suo and Sudo wants to become a chairman of the all-karuta association and this needs him to become a meijin at least once so how will Suo's involvement with him be drawn from now on and will Taichi be replaced then? or will sensei make Suo maybe tell us something about the TACHI card that Suo might get or attack for? And Chitose? you can predict you say, will Chitose -come back for her pillow- then arrive to Omi Jingu again to see Chihaya accomplish what she stopped worshiping her for? and how will Chihaya start telling us about PASSION and how six years ago, she was rather fully consumed by her sister's success?

I also think that Chihaya & Arata will win, but this is the last thing i'm concerned about, I want to know the process of winning and everyone's role is what i'm reading in every new chapter and I'm surprised with every choice sensei makes be it one of the so many "what ifs" I thought of or a totally different one which she pulled quite a lot throughout the manga.

I don't know about you but I personally enjoy every chapter VERY MUCH!

So sorry anon, I can't tell you what's there to enjoy, YOU SEEM TO ALREADY KNOW.

Oh man I wasn’t expecting that. Cards were flying everywhere and it was like “Harada-san, are you actually okay?”

The love triangle just got deeper guys. Taichi has a crush on Chihaya, Arata has a crush on Chihaya, and Chihaya has a crush on both of them, though it seems more like she sees Taichi as “just a friend”

Shinobu’s hair is adorable, I don’t care what her mom says about it.
