Hey guys, welcome back to #XenoWeek at Miketendo64. In keeping with Xeno coverage, today we’re going to be sharing an article dedicated to the Slates that are discoverable in Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country.
We had intended to do a full on guide pertaining to them, but I dropped the ball and deleted all my screenshots relating to them. I was hoping to rectify that by playing through New Game Plus and getting them all over again, only they carry over.
So, because I’d have to create an entirely new game and invest around 12 hours to find them all again, what I have been able to do, is return to each slate location and took some new screenshots. You will not see the slate (a red object with a beam of light above it) in the pictures, or be told which slate can be found in each location, but you will leave here knowing exactly where each one is:
Lasaria Region Slates:
Slate #1:

Slate #7:

There is also a chest in the area.
As for what the slates are for, they will enable you to break the seal at Cavern of the Seal, where you will come upon an area called Tasteless Altar. Not only are there chests here, but there is a Nopon who will allow you to go off hunting Golden Monsters, which are essentially Super Bosses.
You can choose to purchase details of their location from the Nopon Halfsage, or you can check out our Golden Monsters guide to find them for yourselves, without having to pay.
We hope you find this guide helpful and are not afraid to help us in return, by telling us the name of the slates you find in which area, so we can update the above information to help out future readers.
Happy #XenoWeek!

Flying / Fairy regional bird for the Hyber Region! ☘️
Robeen >> Hoopid >> Cladowl
Robeens are very common all over Hyber but Cladowls are a rare site. They are seen as mature and wise beyond their years - and very adept at understanding people. Young couples in the region sometimes seek out Cladowls to test their bond and a blessing from one can make or break a relationship. Those who have raised a young and inexperienced Robeen all the way to a Cladowl are considered impressive trainers not to be challenged lightly!
Robeen is a play on Robin and when you add ín (een) to the name of a young person as a term of endearment (ie the youngest Seán in the family would be Seánín). Robeens make excellent first Pokémon to add to your team as they’re loyal and love humans.
Hoopid’s name is probably easier to understand - just Hoot & Cupid mixed together. I like to think young Hoopids try to play matchmaker in local villages but still don’t really understand human relationships so are more of a nuisance that means well
Cladowl - I really liked the idea of the Claddagh rings inspiring this fakemon. The ring can have 3 meanings - love, loyalty, and friendship - so the best way to evolve your Robeen into the powerful Cladowl is to really nurture that bond.
The other inspiration for this Pokémon is the Lisdoonvarna matchmaking festival. It’s an old school festival that was started to help awkward farmers from the country find a wife. But it grew into a big tourist event and even caters to LGBTQ+ relationships which I think is pretty cool. Maybe your character would have to visit the festival as part of the story? Who knows I’m rambling now 😅

Welcome to the Hyber Region!
The setting for Pokémon Spirit and Soul, a fakemon region based on the country of Ireland and it’s myths, culture and geography.
Get to know the starter trio:
Fawna - the Adventurous Forest Pokémon
Fawna is often found traversing dense woodlands, always ready to lend a helping hoof to Pokémon and humans alike. Its playful nature and boundless energy make it an endearing companion to those fortunate enough to cross paths with it.
Burmoo - the Forge Apprentice Pokémon
Despite its skittish nature, Burmoo possesses an unwavering determination to help others. This Pokémon's timid demeanour often melts away in the face of challenges, revealing a courageous spirit.
Kelpup - the Seaweed Hound Pokémon
Kelpup has a tendency to get into trouble as it enjoys splashing water on any unsuspecting passersbys, but their endearing nature and loyalty make it a fantastic companion. Its seaweed ears aren’t only for show but also act as natural sensors for changes in water currents and temperature.
