MORE AND MORE I GROW ATTACHED TO HIM. MORE & MORE I REALIZE HE HAS A VERRRYY SIMILAR DESIGN LANGUAGE TO MY OWN RICK OC (the design language of both their hair specifically comes to mind) AND HE EVEN HAS THE NEAR EXACT SAME CLOTHES (pants look the same in the scene behind the glass but also should be sweatpants) BUT ALITTLE MORE PASTEL (shirt, which also became even more of a sweatshirt for locket rick)

here I am to brag about my friends

@welllpthisishappening is the best writer I have ever had the privilege of...reading. She writes TOP TIER sports fics and also EXCELLENT journalism fics and FANTASTIC food network fics and just...her makeout scenes? tattoo them on my eyelids. I really have contemplated printing Blue Line as a book so I can carry it with me. And read it without wifi. And she also published books on Amazon! That I read! And they are every bit as excellent as her fics! God, she could write literally anything and I would read it approximately one billion times and praise it to the heavens. Here’s how good of a writer she is: I like her as a person. That sounds weird if you have not read her work but her voice is so unique and so wonderful and so incredible that I want to be best friends. I would hang out with her in real life, for definite. And also because of her I might manage my high school’s ice hockey team. And I have a Rangers t-shirt.

It is so wild to me that the Trigun manga was just on the fringe of the fandom before Tristamp, with ‘98 being the main focus.

I can see how it happened--when the anime was airing, anime was way more niche than it is now, and not everyone would have had easy access to buying it. And if you wanted to read it online... good luck, as someone who was in those forum/Livejournal/Yahoo Groups trenches. Someone on translating your favorite manga was so much work, and it was incredibly uncommon for people to scan officially released manga back then. And from what I hear, the first scanlation was awful, willfully mistranslating things and painting the story and characters in a terrible light. By the time the full manga was released, many of the original fans probably moved on. It’s very different from the first anime, and for the younger audience that likely saw it, maybe a bit too much!

But now that Tristamp has thrust us all into Trimax hell, I deeply understand why Trimax Vash is one of the most common Vashes I see popping up in fanart and such. I love and am feral for ‘98 and Tristamp, you’ll find no slander for those here, but the manga stripped me down on an molecular level and rewired my entire brain and all my emotions. That story and those characters haunt me. Sometimes I’ll see a panel from the manga, not even one of the most impactful ones, and I need to take a moment to recover. I think about it daily. Though I just think about Trigun all day at this point who am I kidding. It’s so good. It’s too good. WHO GAVE IT THE RIGHT TO BE THIS GOOD.

Anyway, if you haven’t read the Trigun manga yet, go check out @trigun-manga-overhaul​ because you’re missing out on one of the best stories ever written.

Guys, I have one piece of advice for you that will seriously improve your time on simblr: If you love someone's story, let them know. Leave a comment, send an ask, whatever. Do it on anon if you're scared. And don't worry about coming off as unhinged. Honestly, the more details and rambling you put in, the better. There is literally nothing that makes an artist feel better than having someone tell them that they love their work.

So if someone's latest story post made you cry, tell them! Or if their edit gave you chills, tell them!!! And let me tell you a secret. Nothing motivates people to work on their stories more than knowing that other people love them and want to see more.

Nothing feels better than seeing someone answer your ask or reply to your comment, and seeing how happy they are. Trust me on this. It feels amazing. You'll make their day, and make your own day better too. And maybe, just maybe, you'll be the push they need to open their game and work on the next post.

Oh, and if you want them to love you forever, include details! Say what specific lines made you feel so strongly, or offer theories on what's going to happen next. Tell them who your favorite character is, or what antagonist is making your teeth grind. Storytellers put so much effort into their posts and their writing, and having someone pick up on the details is so immensely gratifying.
