#I actually don't know why I put armor on all my smiths. It doesn't really make sense?

26 for Alexandria, and 2 and 3 for Esme. ( I am curious about her. she seems neat) :)
how helpful is alexandria, and why? is she helpful or kind even during difficult situations? is she pragmatic, or does she have a hero syndrome?
oh god she's like made of sugar and spice and everything nice 😭 not to imply that it's all fake, but to a certain level, it does go down to her upbringing. given everything her mother's gone through, alex was raised with this idea that the only way to survive in the world is to make yourself palatable. she was told to assimilate, to put on a smile and please everyone, and so that just became her natural response. she definitely does have a kind heart, though, and this trait of hers doesn't waver in difficult situations. in the first chapter (which will be out soon hopefully!!), her #1 concern during the dragon attack is getting as many people out alive as she can. i don't think hero syndrome is the right term for it, but it's a bit like that. i have a really fun character arc lined up for her all about this concept!!
how educated is esmeralda? did her parents teach her, did she have a tutor or was she apprenticed to a master, or did she attend a university? what university? what is she educated in? how long did her education take?
so esmeralda grew up at karthspire, so she had a very traditional education as a child of the reach! i made a whole post about how it works here. in terms of how this specifically applied to esme, the skills she took to best were smithing and shock magic, so she mainly trained under the experts in those areas.
despite the rigorous training she underwent, she had to teach most of what she knows to herself. her primary focus is dwarfcraft, which most reachfolk are very very wary of. her clan, however, was very drawn to it because they can actually trace their roots partly to the dwemer (i'll talk abt this in detail in my doomfang clan post). but during the events of tes: legends, they were largely wiped out, so she's one of the few left. she never had anyone from her clan to teach her to work with dwarfcraft, so she had to reverse engineer a lot of stuff all on her own. she manages to get pretty far given her limited resources, but it frustrates her to no end.
does esmeralda have any kind of crafting skills that either aren’t in-game or don’t have as much importance in-game as they would in real life?
she paints!! i headcanon that this is a super common form of art in the reach. she loves using paints on her armors, on her tent, whatever gear she's tinkering with, etc. it's a bit like a signature for her!
