You know what whump trope I love that I don't see enough of? Powerful whumpees on the sofa. Let me explain a little.

Picture this: a god/goddess, an all powerful sorcerer, an immortal, one of the seemingly untouchables getting whumped. The one no one ever thinks they have to worry about. Perhaps theyre losing their power, perhaps they were protecting their mortal caretaker, or caretaker has just found them and has no idea who they are but they know theyre not human. Either way they're reduced to a sleeping figure on the caretaker's battered old sofa, perhaps so tall they barely fit on it. The mighty has fallen. They're bandaged and sleeping soundly, while caretaker can only sit on the floor beside them stressed out of their minds because whumpee just has to make it through.
