I heard we’re supposed to yell at you about fic things? Maybe? Sooooooo - are you gonna write Stan in a fic? What’s a weird headcanon you have about Annie? What was Rio’s last master like in genie au? (Also more genie au?)

Ummm, like stan as a pov character? Probs not. But like stan in the action? I do a lil bit! There probs will be a lil stan content in the spade story (one day one day). But I'm aiming to never again write anything over 3k lol so everyone can have one line each and then go sit down

Oh genie rio's his own master! Even if he is somewhat beholden to bureaucracy. Probably got rejected by the last person he turned up to 'help' due to continual mumbling & generalised uselessness. He's unemployable in all universes!!!!!

I don't have any plans for any more genie au, it feels like a completed Thing, but idk never say never I guess. Maybe if n when the tbw list is smaller I could consider!

Fanfic writer Friday: What gave you the idea for People Can Be So Cold??? What scene was like 'the point where it all started'?? 💖

OK well this isn't about shellfish which is a tad disappointing but still it's a good question!!

I think it was actually the first scene actually?? Cos I kinda knew I wanted to write a longish one shot (this was my first of those) cos I lovvve getting lost in one. And I thought something romcomish could be fun, but rather than au, it's set in the future where beth and rio have kind of worked some of their BS out, and the conceit is that they're kind of friends and they become closer friends, and. And that also meant I could work in beth musing on her relationships with Annie and Ruby!! But I'm not sure I had a clear idea beyond Annie calls rio Beth's BFF, and Beth's like hey NO that's Ruby but then she DOESN'T bc that's Annie's BFF too and actually that dynamic's shifted a bit and if anyone feels like the two that are the two it's Ruby and annie, and maybe beth feels more like the third wheel??

And then my friend was absolutely spanking me at words with friends and I was becoming enraged 😂 and I knew I had specific headcanons about how both beth and rio approach crosswords (which are right and correct) and I was like hmm so... What about scrabble????

(and then I guess I musta been like so what's the title? Well friends... You've got a friend... Hmm people can be so cold. And that helped set the tone. And also it was cold! It was winter! And the tone was a romcom, so I was like ok there's Christmas gifts and snow and a cabin!! With no bed, ha!! Whine about your backs haha!!)
