Okay I’m STILL procrastinating watching s15 bc I’m SCARED so here’s my extremely biased ratings/opinions on the episodes of s14 to help me procrastinate (episodes which are multiple parts of a single story will be condensed into one slot)
Room Zero: SO cute and good, I LOVED the animation style, it was simple and short but really well done with great colors, fun alien designs, and fluid animation, and I just like seeing the guys go on missions like that. It's a shame that the animated show never got picked up bc I would've adored seeing more of it. 10/10
From Stumbled Beginnings: Very cute and funny origin story for Simmons and Grif, and I love that they were p much always together since they enlisted lmao makes their dynamic rlly good and the humor actually got a couple laughs out of me. 8/10
Fifty Shades of Red: Sarge's humor never quite landed with me like is has for some people (my boyfriend lmao I literally have to pause episodes sometimes so he can stop laughing. Anyway) but it was a very humorous and in character origin for him as well. 5/10
Why They’re Here: Less interesting than the previous two, obviously just meant to fill in plot "holes" and to also show us the origins of the other characters. Also I am completely ignoring that one line from Tucker in the interview, just gonna chalk it up to the "edgy" humor it does not exist to me. 4/10
The Brick Gulch Chronicles: WONDERFUL stop motion, very fun and cute and entertaining, very wholesome and still in the vibe with what the show itself is. I appreciate the willingness to do stop motion for most of it. 10/10
Red Army Unit FH57’s Adventure: It was kinda interesting and kinda funny but I found myself kinda tuning it out cuz it just felt kinda whatever. The combo of the different animation styles was cool though and I thought the ship misunderstanding them was funny. 5/10
Locus and Felix: Okay I'm gonna be a black sheep for a second and say that I rlly don't care that much about Locus and Felix. I don't think Felix is a secretly deep sadboi whom I'm gonna spend an unnecessary amount of time thinking about, I don't think Locus as secretly good all along, and I don't care that much about their partnership and what they were like before Chorus. That being said, the animation here is absolutely gorgeous, this is probably my favorite animated story in the whole season, it looks awesome. The plot is nothing special but who cares like I said it's beautiful, 6/10
Fight the Good Fight!: VERY funny and well-executed propaganda video, short and sweet and nothing more to it. It does its job. 5/10
Meta vs. Carolina: Dawn of Awesome: Another one I really don't care for because literally everything leading UP to the fight between Meta and Carolina is a waste of time. Maybe some people really care about their weapons and stats, but I don't. And even then, you kinda know Carolina is gonna win the fight, the question is just how. 4/10
Grey vs. Gray: I don't know or care about the Game Grumps and the entire thing felt like a short gag that went on for way too long with a predictable ending. 2/10
Caboose's Guide to Making Friends: Again, ADORABLE art style and very cute having a story be told from Caboose's perspective. 7/10
Head Cannon: Kinda funny I guess. I wish we'd gotten it spread out more equally among the heads Omega jumped into. Ik he didn't spend equal time in there but who cares. Whatever, still funny. 5/10
Get Bent: I LAUGHED PROBABLY THE HARDEST AT THIS ONE AND THAT'S MOSTLY BC OF LESBIAN DONUT IT CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD AND IT WAS HILARIOUS (also hello, bisexual church?) 9/10
Red vs. Blue: The Musical: it was fine. it was creative. The dancing was well animated. Enjoyable. 5/10
Mr. Red vs. Mr. Blue: I haven't seen Reservoir Dogs but Kaikaina was in this which automatically boosts it to a 8/10 (I also like that they have movie nights it's cute)
RvB Throwdown: Fine but mostly forgettable. 3/10
The Triplets Story: REALLY interesting concept (y'all know I love the freelancers) that felt like it dragged on too long and only gave Ohio something to do. 4/10
Immersion: The Warthog Flip: I loved the costumes and the actual Warthog and it got a couple laughs out of me. 5/10
Red vs. Blue vs. Rooster Teeth: This was made for the fans/themselves. As someone who is neither, none of it was funny and I just kinda waited for it to be over. At least the animation of the armor irl looked rlly good

hello! i'd love to hear your thoughts on hazbin hotel's writing :] i really like the show, but i'm not really sure if i think it's...good? if that makes sense. so i'd love a second opinion :O
oh my god thank you so much for sending this ask bc ive been thinking about this for sooooo long ive got a lot to say about this show. picture that scene in the first episode where charlie whips out her longass pile of drawings to explain the hotel. that's me rn i have many things good and bad to say about this show. first off im gonna keep it a buck fifty with you anyone genuinely saying this show is really bad needs to watch more shows. watch supernatural season 13 or something. this was not by any stretch of the imagination a bad show for me writing-wise and even the criticisms i have here are mostly nitpicks
i actually think they did a pretty good job given the constraints they had. 8 episodes with 25 minutes each is a ridiculously small amount of time. that's less than 4 hours total to tell this whole story and develop, what, 6 main characters? and introduce major antagonists and the minor antagonists for the next season. i don't know how much they had to cut but i'm willing to bet it was a substantial amount since the show in-universe takes place over the span of 6 months. like i know everyone says this about the show but i really do feel bad that they were given such a short amount of time because it's pretty clear to me that there's a lot of passion put behind this project
i've heard a lot of people say that they have issues with the pacing of the show and i kind of agree. i think the timeline of the plot is kind of weird with episode 1 taking place 6 months from the extermination and episode 2 taking place very soon after. if i remember correctly we don't know when episodes 3 and 4 take place but episodes 5, 6, and 7 all take place back to back probably because they didn't want to shove angel, husk, and sir pentious' major character development right at the end of the series as the plot came to its climax. i think i can understand that reasoning but it does make for a very odd structure and leave the story feeling rushed near the end. i don't know what could have fixed this because having vaggie and charlie visit heaven earlier would have meant that a lot of the show had a higher sense of tension and i think that would've been worse. idk. i understand the criticism and i agree with it i just don't know what could have fixed it
the songs are banger. obviously. that's what happens when you hire half of the living tombstone to write your songs theyre just going to be sick as hell. loser, baby was my favorite and the one from dad beat dad was a close second i liked it a lot. i also think they did a great job developing all of the characters and giving them really solid character arcs with a couple exceptions, mostly alastor, niffty, and vaggie. i'll touch on that in a second. to me angel dust is the emotional core of the show and i really like him and husk. theyre my favorites ill b so sad if they get wrenched apart next season
i have some thoughts on vaggie and this comes from a place of love because i think she's an example of a really great character concept with a not-so-great execution. here's what i think. the writers seem to have a tendency of only giving vaggie big character moments that are tied to her relationship with charlie. and it bugs me a little bit. im not saying that vaggie being charlie's girlfriend has to be a smaller part of her character but every time we get a moment with her like her song in episode 3 it's about how she wants to protect charlie. as much as i love 'out for love' in episode 7 it was kind of unnecessary because we already know how devoted vaggie is to charlie. that was never called into question. for her to go to heaven, knowing that they would recognize her there as a fallen angel, just because charlie wanted her to be there really shows how much she loves her. and i think that part of episode 7 could have been better devoted to exploring the reason why she put her faith in the hotel and what charlie was doing in the first place, because she wants to believe that she can find redemption for the crimes she committed as an exorcist. i don't think they talked enough about the idea that vaggie was cast out of heaven for showing mercy to a sinner. and how this shows the very black-and-white view of morality that heaven has. i think i would like vaggie as a character more if the show stopped trying to frame her belief in the hotel as loyalty to her girlfriend and instead talked about how she's trying to find redemption herself, not in trying to get into heaven but in atoning for the many sinners she killed during the exterminations. that's a really big part of her character that i think should be touched on more often
if you follow me you already know my nitpicks about alastor. theyre problems that will almost certainly be fixed in the next season and theyre incredibly minor, i just dont like characters who seem to always inexplicably one step ahead of everyone else and above all sense of consequence. and to me this is made worse by the fact that alastor appears so often in season 1 without having any character development right next to characters like husk and angel who are going through such horrible, horrible things in their lives. and i think the longer we get alastor as a mysterious 5d chessmaster type of character without knowing his true motivations the more annoying it gets. again, nitpicks that almost certainly won't be a problem next season given the way they're setting up his character. you might not have even considered this to be a problem and think that i'm just being a fucked up little whiny bitch. lmao. it's just a personal thing. niffty i think doesn't have to have character development, as it stands she's entertaining enough by herself and i'm fine with having her run around the hotel with no discernible motivations. she's just havin fun
i think the vees are some really strong love to hate them villains. val obviously is a despicable piece of shit and im looking forward to seeing him get what's coming to him. i have no complaints in regards to them i think their moments were tied into the series very well and theyre interesting antagonists already. it's gonna be great seeing them come more into the spotlight in season 2. i will say that i think some of the time dedicated to exploring their characters could have been put towards the actual main villains of this season, heaven and the rest of the angels, but whatever. as i said before i think a lot of the major plot exposition could have been spread out. but in general i think the vees are really interesting

axelle judges bl shows > Y-Destiny
shitty summary: 7 different love stories from 7 university friends.
where to watch: mega
grade: 7/10
pros:
- the acting was good across the board, even with the less good stories
- the chemistry was also pretty good for most ships!
- the settings were gorgeous. one thing I’ll always applaud copy a bangkok for is the locations they manage to get bc they’re all so beautiful & striking and it feels like we’re travelling to so many different countries while watching the same show... idk where they found those buildings but kudos to them for that bc it looks GOOD!
cons:
- too short. it’s better than close friend with their 15 minutes episodes, but not all the stories of this show were created equal. while some were able to be told completely in two 50 minutes episodes, most weren’t.
- the writing was pretty wobbly & very inconsistent depending on the story.
THE STORIES RANKED:
1. wednesday (puthkaeng)
grade: 8/10
- the most original & interesting story for me
- the chemistry was on FIRE
- the acting was really good!
- the ending is a bit rushed but still works in my eyes
2. tuesday (tueake)
grade: 7,5/10
- enemies to lovers!!!
- the chemistry is v solid
- I like the setting on a school’s trip where they can’t escape each other
- quite rushed, the transition from enemies to friends is pretty brutal
3. thursday (thurspao)
grade: 7/10
- I really like the characters *chop chop*
- the chemistry was v cute
- a bit too cheesy for them to be my faves
4. friday (jiamasuktir)
grade: 6,5/10
- super interesting story that’s much deeper than all of the others
- I’m hella biased bc I love the cast
- kinda badly executed if I must be super honest
5. monday (teammon)
grade: 6/10
- I looove mon, he’s honestly my fave character from this series
- the chemistry was good
- the story is not my cup of tea
- team’s feelings literally seem to come from nowhere, it’s just too random for me
6. sunday (sunnuea)
grade: 5/10
- good chemistry
- this feels so forced & unnatural, even for a bl. nuea just comes off way too strong & it was so cringy to me
- there’s barely a story at all? like I legit don’t remember anything remotely interesting happening
7. saturday (chokesat)
grade: 1/10
- the story was so confusing I still don’t get what actually happened
- they randomly switch from thai & english all the time and it’s never explained why???
- the chemistry was good but frankly them falling in love felt like it came out of nowhere & was pretty forced by the writers...
- honestly finishing these eps was torture...
would I rewatch it: sure, but only my fave ones
This is the classic mediocre bl, but at least since the stories are so short it doesn’t drag on for too long & there’s at least one story you’ll appreciate.

I don’t want to have to wait till episode 6 for (non dream) Kathony sex 😭😭 They better be engaged by 5, so they’re married at the start of 6.
Seriously though, they did a bad job with the ending in S1 and Simon/Daphne apparently had more time married. I hope the s2 conflict and resolution isn’t terribly rushed. If 6 is the wedding, Kate and Anthony only get 2 full episodes married? 😭
Also tbh I’m wondering how they dragged out the pre-wedding events for 6 episodes. Not a lot happens. How long are they at Aubrey Hall for now? episodes 3-5? They’re only there for only 1 week in the book, but I think it might be a 2/3ish weeks in the show.
I mean, at least we can confirm engagement in either five or six? That’s better than not know imo. I’m not super optimistic they’ll be married by start of six but who really knows at this point?
They did a bad job with ending Daph and Simon but I think a lot of that had to do with how both of them were under explored emotionally and how their problems weren’t discussed well? And if you recall, they were mostly pissed at each other for their ep 5, happy for ep 6, pissed for ep 7 and most of 8. So like sure they had a fair bit of sex, but it was on and off and often not sex they should have been having.
Comparing them to Kathony there are huge differences. k and A are happy and that’s the conflict. In the book they bond and communicate about their pasts and their fears even before they get married. And I’ve heard from fans who have seen it that the depths of Kate and Anthony’s relationship in the show surpassed their expectations. All this means I think there will be more emotional intimacy earlier on, in contrast to Saphne who never really got there? Their building conflict lays that groundwork for a nicely explored relationship too, meaning the missing component is mostly just physical.
And if you think about it, how much is in tvwlm after the marriage? We got some of Kate adjusting to being a wife, tea set sex and Edwina’s dowry, storms and the visit with Mary and that’s it. Most of those scenes were quick too. I’d like to see them married by 6 like you, just so we can see how sex complicates the relationship and see more vulnerabilities and get a bit of fluff, but we’re not missing out on scenes we had in the book. Also, Kathony make out a fair bit during engagement and while I think it’s likely to be cut there’s a chance they keep it to fill that middle ep time with it.
As for what they can fill in the first five eps, I can think of a fair bit. Not to be a clown but I think after Daph catches them in four, Anthony might try to propose (or if not Daphne might insist) but Kate refuses and then she turns around in five and starts taking suitors. And Anthony just goes on a wild rampage. That adds a whole phase that wasn’t in the book in addition to scenes we know are added early on like shooting and horse racing, family meals with Lady D and all the ballroom stuff.
All of this is to say, short marriage doesn’t not stick the landing and isn’t necessarily unearned depending on execution. I just don’t want that kind of boring overdone longing that’s so common in slow burn. Kathony are chaotic doers. They can only have so many stolen glances and stay true to their relationship vibes imo. But also I don’t want bloated drama, bc this is romance?
Episode 8 of s1 was longer than the rest too and they could do it here. We don’t know if there’s a carriage accident or when or how Anthony runs off either. But they’ll have the emotional groundwork there to do it quickly if they need to I think. My main worry in my previous asks is if they elongate enemies time and don’t switch to friends soon enough. That love might feel unearned bc they’re not vulnerable with each other in that state. If they become friends then we can wait a little longer probably?
TLDR; I don’t think we have much to worry about regardless based on the nature of Kathony.

thank you for the tag @naomimakesart!! i had so much fun answering these lovely questions!!
1. What are your top 3 favorite houses in Westeros? Houses Targaryen, Lannister, and i can’t choose between Redwyne (bc Ryam and Olenna? iconic) or Martell (defying the Targs?? i mean, against their soaring, flaming monsters?? hell yeah)
2. If you could live during one era in GRRM’s universe what era would it be? (Age of Heroes, Valyrian Empire, Conquest of Westeros, Dance of Dragons etc.) a tough call! but i’d very much choose the Conquest bc my queen Visenya would definitely be there! buuuut i’d also want to witness the apex of the dragonlords (like, imagine your fam had a dragon for each member, and your neighbors also had a couple of them, and when you were flying and saw your homie you’d just be like ‘hey man! Lys tonight?’ ‘tomorrow, bro, gonna fly to Pentos with my fam this afternoon!’)
3. What is your favorite episode/scene from the Game of Thrones TV Series? i need to admit that i was A BUNDLE OF SOBS when i was watching my babe Cersei blowing up the Sept of Baelor!! like, girl?? finally?? your lifetime goal of becoming a ruling queen?? heck yes go get the fucking throne, Cers!! as for a close second is… i’d probably get so much hate for this, but… the Red Wedding!! it’s shocking and beautifully executed. Tywin was a beast.
4. What ruler do you think brought about the most change in Westeros, be it good or bad? hmm… the Targs definitely? Visenya/Aegon/Rhaenys forged the Seven quarrelling Kingdoms into one solid realm, Maegor disarmed the Faith Militants, Jaehaerys/Alysanne left many legacies behind (ex: restoring alliance with the Faith + constructing many roads + ending the lords’ rights for the first night). but the award for a king with neither throne nor crown would always go to my beloved Warden of the West and Hand of the King, Lord Tywin of House Lannister, for keeping the realm intact throughout the reigns of three kings (all who were… incapable at ruling, though Tommen was a kid (in the book, the show made him worse but still a cinnamon roll)
5. If you could ask GRRM one question what would it be? not an ask, a demand: “GIVE US THE DAMN WINDS OF WINTER BEFORE WE PISS OURSELVES!”
6. If GRRM could write a short novel/series about one other family or historical time (besides the Targaryens) in his universe what would you want it to be about? (My choice would be Nymeria’s Journey!) ooooh i’m so so eager to read/watch the Empire of Valyria + the stories about Lann the Clever!!
7. What was your first introduction to ASOIAF/Game of Thrones? Did someone tell you about it, did you see it online or did you come across it at a store/shop? i saw the books everytime i visited any bookstore, but my first real introduction to it was from Ned (that ‘winter is coming’ meme thing) and Dany. i began watching the show and reading the books probably around late 2012 bc i saw too many Dany memes and i said ‘fuck it, i wanna know what’s hot abt this girl’
8. What’s one thing that bothers you about GRRM’s series? right now i don’t have any complains about his books (except for his slow writing of the Winds of Winter), but i really, really regret the fact that the show (1) butchered the Sand Snakes (2) omitting Young Griff out of the storyline (3) killing Kevan Lannister and BARRISTAN SELMY like that!! they’ve strayed too far from GRRM’s plot and it turns out quite awful for me. i understood that D&D had a lot of pressure and needed to make decisions of their own, but i’ve got soft spots for these two old cinnamon rolls and i wish GRRM would take care of the show’s plot more in this upcoming last season :(
9. What’s one thing you unabashedly love about GRRM’s series? that he abuses/tortures/humiliates/destroys/murders men and women alike in his books; that he is unashamed to write gruesome things happening to everyone; that he has no particular character to save from his own monsters. i find ASOIAF and GOT, in many perspectives, akin to our daily experiences (minus the murders tho)
10. What are your feelings about the prequel series in development at HBO right now for the Long Night? nah
:: my 10 questions ::
1. if you have to choose between Visenya/Rhaenyra/Daenerys Targaryen, which one would you pick as your best queen?
2. what is your opinion on Elia Martell?
3. do you think Arya/Sansa parallels Visenya/Rhaenys? do you think Jon would be their Aegon the Conqueror?
4. which part of the Game of Thrones show’s plot that you think should’ve been deleted? why?
5. if you could know any character’s complete background, life story, and death circumstances, who would it be?
6. what do you think would have changed if Rhaenyra married Aegon II?
7. have you ever thought of Cersei being betrothed/married to Ned and Catelyn to Robert (after Robert’s Rebellion)? do you think it would be wiser since the Tullys gave up more resources than the Lannisters?
8. if you could have your own House sigil and words, what would they be?
9. any scenes of character expansion (development/storyline/screentime for sure) in the show that you think is better than in the books?
10. should the Doom of Valyria never happen, do you think the Targaryens/any other dragonlords would try to dominate Westeros in the future?
i’m going to tag @rosenrot6 + @unicornbars7 + @the-lady-rae + @yocalio + @robertarryn + @phoenixtears + @shiro569 + @nonchalant-ocean + @femagorgon + @rhaenysbloodofoldvalyria + anyone who wants to join the fun!!
