Their master had stacked the Nexotraps neatly, in two columns of three, but with practiced ease they knocked one another over and released themselves from their confines. With a flash of dim light and and chorus of soft noise- trills, chirps, and snorts- the six Nexomon materialized onto the wooden floor of the inn’s room they were in.
Barboraco, Leechy, Raksuma, Phantra, Frictingle, Fortank. The bedroom was small, and the roof low. Barboraco settled into a seated position in the corner, awkwardly hunching its back, and Fortank’s tower nearly scraped the roof. It laid down, resting its head against the wooden floor, yet the tower still was perilously close to the thin ceiling. Daringly, Leechy flew up the side of the tower and perched atop it, the tips of its ears grazing the ceiling as it grinned down at the other Nexomon below.
Raksuma noticed a dark stain upon the hardwood floor, and grimaced, taking a step away from it and checking its foot to be sure it hadn’t stepped in anything.
Despite being able to afford a much better accommodation with all the gold they gathered from defeating trainers and trading items to unfortunate souls caught without extra Nexotraps or revives, their master never seemed to care about where they slept. They always bought the least expensive room available, and then curled up on the bed like a little Sounse, making themself as small as possible.
