When you're re-reading one of your favourite childhood bookseries and your favourite character from back then is still your fave, but for different reasons.
#myart#Wanja#Iwan#she is so queercoded (though I doubt it was on purpose)#I mean her name is Wanja but in her home country she is known as Iwan#She bascially said there is no man she would ever marry#also she is buff af (smith) and can craft magical doors to other realms#she has a somewhat evil horse (at least from the main characters pov)#she knows how to fight oh and did I mention that she is the fucking niece of Baba Jaga?#anyway the bookseries is not holding up but still fun to read#Reise nach Yndalamor by Nina Blazon (yes a german book) in case anyone was wondering#oh lost it in the second novel of the trilogy when she cut down her hair to be Iwan again and later on she is described to have many scars#helllooooo how am I supposed to not like her?
