Monster High March Day 3: Toralei Dancing
Idk why, but as I drew this I imagined her dancing to I Am A Poseur by X-Ray Spex.  Has that kind of aggressive “I dont give a fuck” and abrasive-on-purpose energy that I think Toralei revels in.

I really don't see the point of Toralei being made into some snobby, stereotypically British sounding monster supremacist in G3 for Monster High. The accent especially is atrocious sounding. Did they think the target audience wouldn’t be able to tell if someone is a racist and elitist if they didn’t sound like a Charles Dickens character?
I know the whole thing with monsters and humans not liking each other existed all the way back in the original generation. But of all the characters they could have picked to help focus that theme around, Toralei is not the character I would have in mind for it. She was a scrappy orphan, and a shit stirrer who messed with just about everyone equally, and was half of the time more of a neutral person despite being a troublemaker. Racist rich bitch did not come to mind whenever I saw her.
They might as well have just brought back Moanica D'kay from Gen 2, if they really wanted a monster supremacist type character that bad. Or maybe they could have went with Cleo to use to explore that kind of thing, especially since she started out as more of a stuck-up mean girl type at the beginning of G1 until she developed and softened up later on. She’s even from an elite family who view themselves as above the rabble- to the point where Cleo was pressured by her father and older sister to try and basically start up a race war with humans in the “Ghoul’s Rule” movie. Heck, maybe even bring Lilith back- a character from the aforementioned movie- so then we can also get a human perspective on the whole supremacy theme.
It feels like someone was a fan Harry Pothead, and they really wanted their own version of Draco Malfoy for G3.
